Shops and Vendors

Overview

Starsand Island has 16 shops and vendors spread across Starsand Town, Green Meadow, and Half-Moon Bay. Most shops operate from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a few exceptions: Marlo's Morning Delights closes at 11:00 AM, while Zerine's General Store, the Soluna Cafe Lodge, and the Newsstand stay open around the clock. Many blueprint purchases are gated behind profession certification tiers (Starter through Expert). Understanding how shops work, what they sell, and how to level them up is essential for progressing through the mid and late game.

Shops in Starsand Island use a leveling system: buying out a shop's current stock causes that shop to restock with improved and expanded inventory. This means regularly purchasing items you need (and even items you do not immediately need) is the fastest way to unlock higher-tier goods. Some shops also change their available stock per season, rotating in seasonal items during Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Starsand Town Shops

Zerine's General Store

Owner: Zerine (also the Crafting Profession Mentor). Hours: Open 24 hours. Location: Main road from the farm.

The largest and most versatile shop in the game. Zerine sells blueprints, raw materials, cooking ingredients, snacks, drinks, and miscellaneous items. This is also where you sell items using the cash register. The Equipment Blueprint Pack is available free at Starter rank and unlocks the core crafting stations (Cutter I, Charcoal Kiln, Furnace I, Separator) needed to begin processing raw materials. Zerine's inventory spans all Crafter certification tiers and covers more item categories than any other vendor on the island.

Materials

Materials unlock progressively with Crafter certification. Each material has a per-refresh stock limit.

Cooking Ingredients

Cooking ingredients are always available regardless of Crafter tier. Stock refreshes daily.

Snacks and Drinks

Zerine stocks a range of snacks (25g to 45g each, 5 per refresh) and drinks (30g each, 5 per refresh). Snacks include Latiao, Crispy Rice, and Mimi at 25g; Beef Jerky and Jelly at 35g; French Fries at 40g; and premium options like Dragon Beard Cake, Sachima, and Roasted Sunflower Seeds at 45g. Drinks include Caco Laco, Frost Fizz, Fenta, and BC Milk, all at 30g.

Other Items

Universal Remote Control (130g), Worktable I (15g), and Hot Spring Tickets (80g, 5 per refresh) are always available. The Starter rank also includes a free Happy Birthday Firework Blueprint (600g) and craft blueprints for decorative items at each tier, such as Soothing Sachets (150g) and the Capybara Commemorative Coin (7,000g at Expert).

Happiness Seed Shop

Owner: Graminova (Farming Profession Mentor). Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Next to Ethereal Styles.

Sells 50+ seed types, fertilizers, pesticides, and farming equipment blueprints. A key detail that many players miss: seeds are not season-restricted at this shop. You can buy Summer seeds during Winter and stockpile them. Most seeds stock 20 per refresh at Apprentice tier and above, while Starter seeds are unlimited.

The Senior tier adds 23 items including crops, tree saplings, and flower seeds for decoration. Crops range from Rice Seeds (240g) to Water Caltrop Seeds (400g). Tree saplings cost between 800g (Osmanthus) and 1,250g (Persimmon). All flower seeds come in Red, Yellow, and Blue varieties: Moonrise (315g/330g), Rose (315g/330g), Orchid (315g/330g), and Tulip (315g/330g).

Expert Seeds (20 per Refresh)

Farming Blueprints

The Greenhouse Building Manual (65,000g) at Expert tier is one of the most expensive blueprints in the game but allows year-round crop growing regardless of season. The Starsand Grinder (40,000g) is the top-tier flour processing station.

Ethereal Styles

Owner: Lunelle. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: South side of the plaza.

Starsand Island's clothing boutique with seasonal rotating stock and limited-time outfits. Lunelle sells ready-made clothing, accessories, hats, shoes, eyewear, and sewing patterns for crafting custom apparel. The inventory changes with each season, and limited-time items appear during festivals and special events. Some items are free while premium outfits can reach 55,000g.

Spring Season Price Ranges

Ethereal Styles has the most dynamic inventory of any shop on the island. Checking back every few in-game days is worthwhile to avoid missing exclusive pieces. Limited-time items disappear once the event or season ends.

Aureleaf Kitchen

Owner: Aurelis (Head Chef). Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Center of the plaza.

Sells take-out meals, cooking recipes, and kitchen equipment blueprints. The ready-made meals provide immediate stamina recovery and temporary buffs. Learning recipes is a one-time purchase that lets you cook the dish repeatedly at home.

Marlo's Morning Delights

Owner: Marlo. Hours: 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM only. Location: Next to Ethereal Styles.

Breakfast-only shop with the shortest operating window of any vendor on the island. All items stock 5 per refresh. The 6:00 AM opening means you can grab breakfast before most other shops open. Marlo's food items provide unique buff combinations that stack with buffs from other food sources.

Marlo also sells the Soup Dumplings Recipe for 100g.

Soluna Cafe Lodge

Owner: Charlene. Hours: Open 24 hours. Location: Across from Ethereal Styles.

The only inn in Starsand Town, with a cozy cafe on the ground floor and guest rooms upstairs. Charlene serves coffee during the day and switches to cocktails in the evening. Desserts are available at all hours. The cafe is especially useful during late-night crafting or farming sessions when other food shops are closed.

Lex Woodworks

Owner: Alex. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Lower portion of Starsand Town.

The largest furniture shop in the game, selling finished furniture, furniture blueprints, home layouts, potted decorations, and specialty collections. Alex also runs a Glowing Shell Exchange section that uses Glowing Shells as an alternative currency for exclusive items.

Lex Woodworks also stocks 80+ furniture blueprints (100g to 5,100g), potted decorations (55g each, 22 varieties), a Fruity Furniture Collection (830g to 1,640g for themed pineapple, watermelon, and pumpkin pieces), and Sample Room Blueprints for themed room designs. The Glowing Shell Exchange offers luxury furniture and decorations costing 2 to 11 Glowing Shells each. Glowing Shells are found on the beach, in the Moonlit Forest, and as achievement rewards.

Silvan Notes

Owner: Sylvain. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Near Lex Woodworks.

Music shop selling 32 records (460g each) and a Record Player Blueprint (540g). Records provide ambient music for your farm when played. The selection includes both original island compositions (Tide's Tale, Wind Island Flute, Dreammoor, Highland Winds, Market Morning) and licensed tracks. Several songs come in both standard and Japanese versions. The Instrument Shop scenic point added in patch 0.3.2537 is located near Silvan Notes, and the music performance system allows players to play instruments for NPC audiences to gain small affection bonuses.

Bloom Atelier

Owner: Serena. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Maple Reed.

Beauty salon offering hairstyle and character customization services. Unlike most vendors, Bloom Atelier sells services rather than items. Each visit lets you redesign your character's hair, makeup, and facial features without starting a new save.

Woof & Wow Pets

Owner: Stella. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Maple Reed.

Sells adoptable pets, pet furniture blueprints, pet food, and pet clothing. These store-bought pets are the easiest to obtain since they only require Coins. Wild pets found around the island require building affection through repeated interactions before adoption.

Pet hat options include Bunny Hood, Froggy Hood, Ballet Ring, Sprout Hat, and Flower Hat for cats, plus Duckling Hat, Bamboo Copter Hat, and Doggy Hat for dogs.

Chrono Arcade

Owners: Loren and Momo. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Maple Reed.

Token-based arcade with no direct coin purchases for prizes. You receive 10 free tokens from Loren, and additional tokens cost 10 Coins for 80 tokens. All games and machines run on tokens.

Games and Machines

The gachapon machines contain exclusive blueprints, furniture, and clothing items that cannot be obtained any other way. This makes the Chrono Arcade a key destination for completionists.

Newsstand

Hours: Open 24 hours. Location: Across from Zerine's General Store and the Happiness Seed Shop.

The island's gossip hub. Sells seasonal books and Hot Spring Tickets. The Newsstand is one of only three 24-hour vendors (alongside Zerine's and Soluna Cafe Lodge).

Green Meadow Shops

Green Pasture Ranch

Owners: Pastelle, Bruce, and Garrick (Ranching Profession Mentor). Hours: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Northwest of Hopeland in Green Meadow.

Sells all livestock, animal feed, housing blueprints, and ranching equipment. Animals and equipment unlock progressively through Rancher certification tiers. Garrick assists Pastelle with ranch operations and can sell items when Pastelle is away from the counter. The ranch opens at 6:00 AM, earlier than most shops, which is convenient since livestock need morning care.

Exploration Club

Owner: Zephyria (Exploration Profession Mentor). Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: North of Green Pasture Ranch.

The only shop that sells combat-related blueprints and adventuring supplies. Also sells combat cooking recipes that provide buff food for dungeon runs. The Slingshot blueprint is needed to break the Damaged Door into the Moonlit Forest.

The Exploration Club also sells the Ammo Maker, Simple Pellet, Plume Bow, Arrow, and Bomb Arrow blueprints at various tiers (Starter through Junior), plus the Lamb Skewers Recipe at Apprentice. Visit early and progress your Explorer certification to unlock higher-tier weapon blueprints.

Half-Moon Bay Shops

AquaBlue Outpost

Owner: Delphin (Angler Profession Mentor). Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Right side of the docks at Half-Moon Bay.

Sells fishing bait, rod blueprints, Chopper blueprints, aquarium blueprints, and fish pond blueprints. The rod upgrade chain is linear: each rod requires the previous one as a crafting component, so you must purchase and craft each rod in order. Skipping ahead is not possible.

Bait types unlock at Apprentice tier: Meat Bait, Veggie Bait, and Bug Bait, each 45g. Higher-quality bait becomes available at higher certification tiers and significantly improves your chances of catching rare fish species.

G-Power Bike

Owner: Neona. Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Main road near Half-Moon Bay.

Sells finished vehicles, vehicle blueprints, and offers modifications. Crafting from blueprints saves significant money compared to buying pre-built vehicles but requires a Worktable Level 2 or 3.

Neona also offers paint jobs for vehicles. Land vehicle paint colors cost 50,000g each, while sea vehicle paint colors cost 150,000g each. Renting is a great option early in the game when you cannot afford to buy or craft. The rental cost is minimal compared to walking everywhere.

Starsand Port

Merchant Ship

Hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Location: Docks at Starsand Port. Unlock: Requires completing Marston's Port Construction quest.

A rotating vendor that visits for one week at a time and refreshes every Monday. The Merchant Ship sells rare items, but its main value is that it buys player goods at 200% of normal value. Limited quantities per item per week. This is the best money-making outlet in mid-to-late game: stockpile processed goods throughout the week and sell them all when the Merchant Ship refreshes on Monday.

The ship's buy list changes weekly, so check what items are in demand each visit to maximize profits. The Merchant Ship also occasionally sells exclusive decorative items and rare materials that are not available from any other vendor. These items rotate with each weekly visit.

Vending Machines

In addition to the staffed shops, Starsand Island has vending machines located at bus stops across the island. These automated vendors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and sell basic supplies including drinks, snacks, and simple crafting materials. Items are slightly more expensive than their shop equivalents, but the around-the-clock convenience makes them valuable during late-night exploration when all staffed shops (except Zerine's, Soluna Cafe Lodge, and the Newsstand) are closed.

Bedroom Chest Mechanic

At 3 affection hearts (370 affection points) with a shop owner, the door to their private bedroom unlocks automatically. You can enter anytime they are home. Each bedroom contains two special chests:

• Wooden chest (one-time): Contains exclusive furniture blueprints and decorative items unique to that character. For example, Zerine's chest contains tech blueprints, Delphin's yields rare fish bait, and Aurelis's provides a recipe blueprint.

• Blue-grey chest (weekly): Respawns every Monday with assorted items. The contents vary per NPC but generally include useful materials, furniture blueprints, and consumables. For example, Lunelle's chest at Ethereal Styles contains a Classic Bench Blueprint and Wooden Cloud Chair Blueprint.

Building affection with shop owners is worthwhile not only for the relationship benefits but also for the recurring weekly chest loot. Pair bedroom visits with your Monday Merchant Ship selling routine for maximum efficiency.

Shopping Tips and Strategies

Shop Leveling

Every shop in Starsand Island can be leveled up by purchasing items. When you buy out a shop's current stock of a particular category, the shop restocks with expanded and improved inventory options. The key strategy is to buy everything available at your current tier, even items you do not immediately need, to trigger the restock and unlock higher-tier goods.

Seasonal Stock Changes

Several shops rotate their inventory based on the current in-game season. Ethereal Styles is the most prominent example, with seasonal clothing collections that change every 28 in-game days. The Happiness Seed Shop does not restrict seed availability by season (all seeds are available year-round), which is an exception to the seasonal pattern. Limited-time items associated with festivals and events (such as the Chinese New Year Festival and the Beach Festival) appear temporarily and are removed once the event ends.

Currency and Selling

Most shops accept Coins as payment. Two exceptions exist: Lex Woodworks has a Glowing Shell Exchange section using Glowing Shells as alternative currency, and the Chrono Arcade uses Tokens exclusively. For selling your own goods, the cash register at Zerine's General Store is the standard option. However, the Merchant Ship at Starsand Port pays 200% of the normal sell price, making it far more profitable. Plan your selling schedule around the Merchant Ship's weekly Monday refresh to maximize income.

Restocking Mechanics

A profession skill upgrade allows shop inventories to restock up to 3 times daily. Without this upgrade, shops restock once per day at opening time. The restock timer resets at the start of each in-game day. Consumable items like food, bait, and basic materials restock in the quantities listed in the tables above, but limited-stock items (rare blueprints, exclusive decorations) may take longer to reappear.

Priority Purchases

For new players, here is a suggested purchase priority:

1. Equipment Blueprint Pack (free) from Zerine. Unlocks the four core crafting stations.

2. Slingshot Blueprint from the Exploration Club. Required to enter the Moonlit Forest.

3. Sprinkler Blueprint (1,500g) from the Happiness Seed Shop. Automates watering.

4. Chrono Rod Blueprint (800g) from AquaBlue Outpost. Your first fishing rod upgrade.

5. Record Player Blueprint (540g) from Silvan Notes. Unlocks farm ambiance.

6. A vehicle blueprint (300g+) from G-Power Bike. Even the Bamboo Raft (300g) speeds up water travel.
