Sewing Table
The Sewing Table is the final station in the textile production pipeline in Starsand Island. It takes fabrics produced by the Loom and converts them into finished clothing and wearable items using unlocked patterns. The Sewing Table Blueprint is available from Zerine's General Store for 700 coins, making it part of the Starter-tier textile equipment alongside the Spinning Wheel and Loom.
How to Unlock
The Sewing Table Blueprint costs 700 coins and is sold at Zerine's General Store in the main town. It is available from the start of the game with no profession tier requirement. However, you will also need the Spinning Wheel Blueprint (200 coins) and the Loom Blueprint (350 coins) to run the full textile pipeline. All three are available from Zerine and can be purchased together for a combined total of 1,250 coins.
The Starter Equipment Blueprint Pack sold at Zerine's includes the Spinning Wheel, Loom, and Sewing Table. Purchasing the pack rather than the individual blueprints may save coins depending on availability.
The Textile Pipeline
Clothing production in Starsand Island follows a three-station pipeline. Each station processes the output of the previous one, turning raw fibers into finished garments.
Station | Blueprint Cost | Input | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
200 coins | Raw fibers (Wool, Cotton, Hemp, etc.) | Thread, Carbon Line, Fishing Line, Hemp Rope | |
350 coins | Thread and processed fibers | Colored fabrics, Leather, Linen, Velvet | |
Sewing Table | 700 coins | Fabrics from the Loom | Finished clothing and wearable items |
You cannot skip stations. The Sewing Table requires fabrics from the Loom, which in turn requires thread and fiber products from the Spinning Wheel. All three stations must be built and operational before you can produce clothing.
Spinning Wheel Products
The Spinning Wheel is the first station in the pipeline. It processes raw fibers into usable thread and rope products.
Product | Description |
|---|---|
Thread | Base material for fabric production at the Loom |
Carbon Line | Strong fishing line used for advanced fishing rods |
Fishing Line | Standard line for crafting fishing equipment |
Hemp Rope | Versatile rope used in various crafting recipes and building |
Thread is the primary output you will need in bulk for the Loom. Carbon Line, Fishing Line, and Hemp Rope are side products useful for other crafting recipes, particularly fishing equipment and building materials.
Loom Fabrics
The Loom takes thread from the Spinning Wheel and weaves it into a variety of colored fabrics and specialty textiles. Each fabric type is used in different clothing patterns.
Fabric | Type |
|---|---|
Black Fabric | Colored |
Blue Fabric | Colored |
Cyan Fabric | Colored |
Green Fabric | Colored |
Orange Fabric | Colored |
Purple Fabric | Colored |
Red Fabric | Colored |
White Fabric | Colored |
Yellow Fabric | Colored |
Rainbow Fabric | Colored (special) |
Leather | Specialty |
Velvet | Specialty |
The nine standard colored fabrics each produce clothing in that specific color. Rainbow Fabric is a special variant. Leather and Velvet are specialty textiles used in specific pattern recipes that require premium materials.
Clothing Patterns
Crafting schematics for clothing are called "patterns" in Starsand Island (not blueprints, which refer to equipment and station schematics). Once you learn a pattern, it is permanently added to your Islandpedia. You can view which crafting station is needed and which materials are required to make each item.
Patterns are obtained by purchasing them from shops, completing quests, or discovering them through exploration. The Sewing Table only produces clothing items for which you have learned the pattern. If you have the Sewing Table built but no patterns learned, you will not be able to craft anything on it.
Setting Up a Clothing Workshop
To run an efficient textile workshop at home, follow this setup:
Purchase all three textile blueprints from Zerine's General Store (1,250 coins total).
Build the Spinning Wheel, Loom, and Sewing Table at your Worktable.
Place all three stations in your home or workshop area for convenient access.
Gather raw fibers: Wool from rabbits, Cotton from farming, Hemp from wild plants.
Process fibers into thread at the Spinning Wheel.
Weave thread into the fabric type required by your pattern at the Loom.
Craft the finished clothing at the Sewing Table.
Tips
The three textile station blueprints are among the cheapest crafting investments in the game. Pick them up early even if you do not plan to use them right away.
Wool is one of the easiest raw fibers to stockpile once you have rabbits in a Rabbit Hutch. Keep your rabbits fed and clean for consistent Wool production.
Colored fabrics determine the color of the clothing you produce. If you want a specific outfit color, make sure you have the matching fabric before starting.
Leather and Velvet patterns tend to produce higher-value clothing items. These are worth prioritizing once you have a steady fabric supply.
The Sewing Table pairs well with the Dyeing Station for further customization of finished clothing items.
Check your Islandpedia regularly for new patterns. Some are unlocked through quest rewards or special events that are easy to miss.
