How to unlock land expansion
You cannot buy more land until you unlock the Buy Land app on your phone. The app appears automatically when you complete the fifth set of tasks on the Island Life app, called Junior Talent. To reach that milestone, you need to:
Reach Junior level in any profession (Farming, Ranching, Crafting, Fishing, or Exploration).
Complete five requests from the town's Bulletin Board at the Community Center.
Complete the four sets of Island Life tasks that come before Junior Talent.
Once you finish those tasks and claim the rewards in Island Life, the Buy Land app adds itself to your phone. Purchases are permanent with no refund option.
How to reach Junior level
Continue the questline for whichever profession you pick and register each new level with both Solara and your mentor. If you do not have an active quest, check with your mentor directly. The mentors are:
Graminova for Farming, at the Happiness Seed Shop.
Pastelle for Ranching, at Green Pasture Ranch.
Zerine for Crafting, at the General Store.
Delphin for Fishing, at the AquaBlue Outpost.
Zephyria for Exploration, at the Exploration Club.
If you cannot find your mentor, open the map and look at the icons on the left side. The graduation-cap icon lists all mentors. Select a portrait to track them.
Hopeland expansion costs
You can expand Hopeland (your starter home area) up to eight times. Both Coins and Starsand are required for each expansion:

Cloudrest Lake
Cloudrest Lake is a secondary property north of the main island. It costs 6,000,000 Coins + 750 Starsand a massive late-game investment. This property offers a separate homestead with its own buildable area and farmland.
Additional land plots
Beyond Hopeland and Cloudrest Lake, there are additional plots available elsewhere on the island:
Blue Beach A coastal property unlocked through Island Life progression.
Windflute Island An offshore property with its own unlock requirements.
Each additional property has separate unlock requirements tied to Island Life goals. You can plant World Trees on any homestead plot.
Tips
The first expansion (2,000 Coins) is affordable early. Prioritize it for more farming space.
Later expansions require significant Starsand, complete StarNote achievements (50–1,500 Starsand Points each) and Island Life goals to stockpile.
