Gas Stove
The Gas Stove is an upgraded cooking station in Starsand Island that functions as a direct improvement over the Campfire. It provides access to a wider range of cooking recipes, including complex dishes that require controlled heat. The Gas Stove Blueprint costs 1,000 coins and is purchased from Aurelis at the Aureleaf Kitchen restaurant in Starsand Town.
How to Unlock
The Gas Stove Blueprint is available from the Aureleaf Kitchen for 1,000 coins. There is no profession certification requirement; you can buy it as soon as you have the coins. After purchasing the blueprint, build the Gas Stove at your Worktable and place it in your home, kitchen area, or any outdoor cooking spot.
The Aureleaf Kitchen is located on the right side of the plaza area in Starsand Town. The shop is open between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM every day. In addition to the Gas Stove Blueprint, this shop also sells the Juicer Blueprint (550 coins) and various cooking recipe scrolls.
Gas Stove vs. Campfire
The Campfire is the first cooking station you build in the game and handles basic recipes. The Gas Stove is a Tier 2 upgrade that cooks most of the same recipes as the Campfire, plus advanced dishes that require precise, controlled heat. Once you have a Gas Stove, the Campfire becomes mostly obsolete for cooking purposes.
Feature | Campfire | Gas Stove |
|---|---|---|
Cost | Free (starter recipe) | 1,000 coins (blueprint) |
Unlock | Available from the start | Aureleaf Kitchen (no profession needed) |
Recipes | Basic meals only | Basic and advanced meals |
Tier | Tier 1 | Tier 2 |
Placement | Indoors or outdoors | Indoors or outdoors |
Parallel Cooking | Yes (build multiples) | Yes (build multiples) |
Both the Campfire and Gas Stove cook one dish at a time, and each recipe takes a set amount of in-game time to complete. Because of this, building multiple cooking stations (whether Campfires, Gas Stoves, or a mix) is recommended if you cook frequently. Running several stations in parallel lets you prepare large batches of food without waiting.
The Oven
The Oven is a third cooking station variant that functions similarly to the Gas Stove. It can be obtained in two ways: it comes included with the Intermediate Modern Retreat layout (purchased from Alex's workshop at Lex Woodworks), or its blueprint can be found in a treasure chest on the dock at Cloudrest Lake. The Oven cooks the same recipes as the Gas Stove and serves as an alternative for players who prefer its visual style.
The Juicer
While not a stove, the Juicer is another cooking station sold at the Aureleaf Kitchen for 550 coins. It is used exclusively for making drinks such as Red Grape Juice and Green Grape Juice. Drinks cannot be made on the Gas Stove or Campfire; they require the Juicer. If you plan to use cooking buffs from beverages, pick up the Juicer Blueprint alongside the Gas Stove Blueprint.
Cooking Station Overview
Starsand Island has several stations involved in food preparation. The Gas Stove and Campfire handle the actual cooking, while other stations process raw materials into intermediate ingredients.

Campfire | Basic cooking (Tier 1) | Available from start | Free |
Gas Stove | Advanced cooking (Tier 2) | Aureleaf Kitchen | 1,000 coins |

Vegetables + Salt into Pickles (timed) | Happiness Seed Shop | 2,000 coins | |
Grains into Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Rice Wine (timed) | Happiness Seed Shop | 1,600 coins |
How to Unlock Recipes
The Gas Stove does not come with recipes pre-loaded. You learn recipes through several methods:
Aureleaf Kitchen shop: Purchase recipe scrolls from Aurelis during shop hours (8:00 AM to 10:00 PM). This is the largest single source of recipes.
Treasure chests: Recipe scrolls can appear in treasure chests found around the island and inside the Moonlit Forest.
Quest rewards: Story progression and profession trials occasionally reward cooking recipes.
Ingredient discovery: Some recipes unlock automatically when you gather a specific combination of ingredients while exploring.
Tips
Build at least two Gas Stoves if you cook regularly. Recipes take real in-game time, and running stations in parallel is the only way to speed up batch cooking.
Keep your Separator, Brewing Barrel, and Jam Maker near your Gas Stove. Many advanced recipes need processed ingredients (Flour, Sugar, Vinegar, Jam), so clustering your stations saves travel time.
Visit the Aureleaf Kitchen early and often to check for new recipe scrolls. The shop restocks recipes as you progress through the game.
You can keep a Campfire alongside your Gas Stove for parallel cooking. Any recipe the Campfire can make, the Gas Stove can also make, so the Campfire just adds extra capacity.
Meals with cooking buffs like Forest's Gift (ore finding), Never Skunked (instant fish bites), and Flow Fishing (line durability) are among the most valuable dishes to prepare.
