Overview
Gachapon machines are randomized prize dispensers located at the Chrono Arcade in Starsand Island. Each pull costs 20 Tokens and dispenses a capsule containing a random reward. The machines are the only source for certain exclusive blueprints and crafting recipes that cannot be obtained from shops, profession quests, or treasure chests.
Location
The Gachapon machines are inside Chrono Arcade, the business run by Loren, located slightly northeast of the central Starsand Town area. When you enter the building, you will find two Gacha machines sitting on the counter next to the cash register. Loren can usually be found inside playing arcade games and refilling the machines.
Token System
Gachapon machines run on Tokens, a separate currency from Coins. You can acquire Tokens in two ways:
Source | Amount | Cost | Daily Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
Free daily claim | 20 Tokens | Free | 20 per day |
Purchase from register | 1 Token per purchase | 10 Coins per Token | 80 per day |
To collect your daily free Tokens, interact with the cash register on the counter next to the machines. You can claim 20 free Tokens each day. Beyond that, you can buy additional Tokens from the same register at a rate of 10 Coins per Token, up to a daily cap of 80 purchased Tokens.
This means your maximum daily Token budget is 100 (20 free + 80 purchased). Since each Gachapon pull costs 20 Tokens, you can make up to 5 pulls per day at maximum spending. The 80 purchased Tokens cost a total of 800 Coins.
How to Use the Machines
Enter Chrono Arcade and walk to the counter.
Interact with the cash register to claim your 20 free daily Tokens. Optionally purchase additional Tokens.
Interact with one of the two Gacha machines on the counter.
Select a Gachapon capsule and spend 20 Tokens to open it.
The capsule opens immediately and the reward is added to your inventory.
Capsule Color Variants
Each Gachapon capsule comes in one of five color variants. Despite their visual differences, extensive community testing has found no correlation between capsule color and contents. All five colors draw from the same loot pool, and the color is purely cosmetic.
Capsule Color | Loot Difference |
|---|---|
Golden Gachapon | No difference; same loot pool |
Purple Gachapon | No difference; same loot pool |
Blue Gachapon | No difference; same loot pool |
Green Gachapon | No difference; same loot pool |
White Gachapon | No difference; same loot pool |
Rewards and Drops
Gachapon machines dispense a wide variety of random rewards. The loot pool includes common resources, ores, and exclusive items that can only be obtained through gacha pulls.
Reward Categories
Category | Examples | Exclusivity |
|---|---|---|
Ores and minerals | Tin, Copper, Iron | Also obtainable through mining |
Basic resources | Stone, Fiber, Softwood | Also obtainable through gathering |
Crafting recipes | Wok Spatula and others | Gacha-exclusive |
Furniture blueprints | Exclusive decoration items | Gacha-exclusive |
Clothing items | Exclusive wardrobe pieces | Gacha-exclusive |
Game skins | Cosmetic skins for arcade games | Gacha-exclusive |
The Wok Spatula recipe is one of the most notable gacha-exclusive drops. It is a cooking tool recipe that cannot be purchased from Zerine's General Store or unlocked through profession progression. It can only be obtained by pulling it from a Gachapon machine.
Strategy and Tips
Early Game
During the first few in-game weeks, your Coins are better spent on seeds, tools, and animal purchases. Stick to claiming your 20 free daily Tokens for one free pull per day. Even if you do not plan to pull immediately, claim your free Tokens anyway since they accumulate over time.
Mid to Late Game
Once your farm income is steady and you have upgraded your essential equipment, start buying the full 80 additional Tokens each day for 800 Coins. At five pulls per day, you will cycle through the loot pool much faster and collect exclusive blueprints and recipes.
General Tips
Claim free Tokens daily. Even on days you do not plan to pull, the free 20 Tokens cost nothing and add up over time.
Do not chase specific items early. All drops are random, so patience is key. Players report needing weeks of daily pulls to collect all exclusive items.
Capsule color does not matter. Pick whichever capsule you want; the color is cosmetic only.
Duplicate resources are still useful. Even if you pull common resources like Stone or Copper, they save you gathering time.
Pair with arcade games. While you are at Chrono Arcade collecting Tokens, play the arcade games for additional rewards and fun.
