Pastelle

Overview

Pastelle runs Green Pasture Ranch and is the mentor for the Ranching profession. She is a native of Starsand Island who grew up caring for animals on the ranch. She studied veterinary medicine on a nearby island starting at age sixteen and returned at nineteen to take over the family business. If you start with Ranching, she will be one of the first townspeople you meet after Solara. She teaches you about animal care, breeding, and product collection.

Pastelle is one of 15 romanceable characters. She is shy around people but gentle and sensitive with animals. Players describe her as a sweetheart once you get past her quiet exterior.

Personality

Pastelle is soft-spoken, gentle, and deeply empathetic. She has a natural gift for understanding animals and can tell what they need just by watching them. Around people, she tends to be quiet and reserved. She does not seek the spotlight and prefers the company of her livestock to large social gatherings. Her kindness comes through in small gestures rather than grand statements.

Despite her calm exterior, Pastelle is fiercely protective of her animals and will speak up forcefully if she believes any of them are being mistreated. She harbors a secret admiration for adventurers and enjoys reading martial arts novels in private, a hobby that contrasts with her gentle public persona. Spending time with her reveals a warm, caring person who lights up when talking about animal care and breeding genetics.

Family

Garrick is Pastelle's father. He is a hardworking rancher who ran Green Pasture Ranch before Pastelle took over. He still lives on the island and is proud of what his daughter has accomplished with the ranch.

Bruce is Pastelle's brother. He has a more outgoing personality than his sister and can often be found around town. During winter, when ranch work slows down, Pastelle and Bruce explore the plaza's food stalls together.

Solara is Pastelle's childhood friend. The two grew up together on the island and share a close bond despite their different career paths. Solara now serves as the mayor's assistant.

Where to Find Pastelle

Pastelle can usually be found inside the Green Pasture Ranch main building or roaming one of the many animal pastures on the property. She spends a lot of time outdoors tending to animals. The ranch is located northwest of your starting farm in Hopeland. Green Pasture Ranch is open from 06:00 to 22:00.

Her bedroom is upstairs in the Green Pasture Ranch building, but you need at least 3 hearts before you can enter. Once you have interacted with Pastelle, her contact appears in your phone's Social app. Locate shows her current position on the map and draws a route. Follow tracks her movements in real time.

Pastelle's daily routine is centered on the ranch but shifts between seasons as the workload changes.

Green Pasture Ranch is the island's animal and ranching supply shop, selling animals, enclosure blueprints, animal care tools, and feed.

Pastelle also sells over 30 blueprints for animal housing (Rabbit Hutch, Chicken Coop, Duck Coop, Pigsty, Cattle Barn, Sheep Barn, Beehive, Stable, Deer Pen, Alpaca Barn, Ostrich Barn), tools (Brush, Feeder, Mirth Feeder, Mega Feeder, Love Feeder), and automation (Auto Milker, Auto Shearer). Blueprint prices range from 150 to 30,000 coins.

Pastelle also offers mount rentals at 15 to 30 coins per hour for players who have not yet purchased their own riding animals.

Quests and Role

As the Ranching Mentor, Pastelle certifies you through the Rancher profession tiers: Apprentice, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and Expert. Visit Green Pasture Ranch to begin the ranching questline.

She posts Bulletin Board requests that grant between 15 and 25 Affection Points when completed.

Romance

Pastelle triggers a special meet-cute cutscene the first time you encounter her. Her romance arc is gentle and centered on trust. She opens up slowly as your Affection grows, revealing more about her connection to the animals and the land. She is a good match for players who appreciate quiet, steady companionship.

At Heart Level 3, you can enter her bedroom upstairs in the Green Pasture Ranch building, which contains a treasure chest with exclusive decor. At Heart Level 5, you can ask her to move in with you. She will then help around the farm: clearing debris, tending animals, and watering plants.

Pastelle's birthday is Spring 10. Giving her a loved gift on her birthday grants bonus affection. Since her birthday falls early in the first season, you can start building a strong relationship right away if you buy animal feed from her shop on Day 10.
