Aurelis overview

Aurelis is a romanceable NPC in Starsand Island who runs Aureleaf Kitchen, the island's main restaurant on the southeast side of Starsand Town. He is a cooking prodigy and the heir of a global culinary empire. After being passed over to inherit the family business, Aurelis left to seek new adventures and fresh ingredients, eventually establishing Aureleaf Kitchen as one of the most beloved dining spots on the island. He comes across as meticulous and somewhat blunt at first, but quickly reveals himself as a passionate food science nerd with genuine warmth beneath his perfectionist exterior.

Where to find Aurelis

Aurelis spends roughly 90% of his time in and around Aureleaf Kitchen. He alternates between two daily schedules:

Schedule A (restaurant focus)

Schedule B (ingredient gathering)

Aurelis switches between these two schedules on alternating days. If you need to find him quickly, check Aureleaf Kitchen between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM. He is almost always inside during those hours regardless of which schedule he follows.

How to track Aurelis

After your first interaction with Aurelis, he appears on the Social app on your in-game phone. Open the Social tab to see his current location marker on the map. This works at any time of day and eliminates guesswork about his schedule.

Gift preferences

Giving gifts is the primary way to raise affection with Aurelis. You can give one gift per day. Each gift type awards a specific number of affection points:

Favorite gift (+15 affection)

Liked gifts (+10 affection)

Disliked gifts (negative affection)

Hated gifts (strongly negative)

Heart level progression

Build affection by giving daily gifts, talking, and completing requests. Each heart level unlocks new interactions:

5-Heart interaction

A recent patch added 5-heart interactions with Aurelis. At maximum affection, you can invite Aurelis to live with you at Hopeland. Once moved in, he actively helps with daily farm tasks. Watering crops, petting animals, and clearing debris. He also prepares a cooked meal each morning that provides a random food buff for the day. This makes Aurelis one of the most practically useful romance partners in the game.

Aureleaf Kitchen

Aureleaf Kitchen is open 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. It functions as both a restaurant (buy prepared meals) and a recipe shop (buy cooking recipes from the cash register). The kitchen stocks 28+ recipe blueprints that teach you to cook dishes at your own campfire or gas stove. Notable menu items for sale include:

• Golden Beef Noodles: High-energy meal, one of the best stamina foods in the game

• Braised Pork Belly: Good energy restoration with a combat buff

• Forest Treasure Bowl: Provides the Forest's Gift buff for exploration

• Grilled Fish: Affordable HP restoration meal

Personality

Aurelis is meticulous, blunt, and initially comes across as somewhat snobby. He holds himself and his food to impossibly high standards. Beneath the perfectionism, he is a deeply passionate food science nerd who lights up when discussing flavor profiles, ancient recipes, and ingredient sourcing. He carries the weight of his family's legacy. His culinary empire expected him to follow a corporate path, but he chose creative independence instead. Over time, players discover his warmth, vulnerability, and genuine care for the island community.

Romance

Aurelis is fully romanceable. The relationship progresses through the 5-heart system described above. As of Early Access, the romance system includes daily gift exchange, photo sessions, shared meals, and the 5-heart move-in feature. Heart events and marriage mechanics are still being developed and may be added in future updates. Aurelis is one of the most popular romance options among players due to his practical farm help at 5 hearts and his compelling character arc.

Tips

• Easiest gift strategy: Give Aurelis Wheat, Garlic, or Water Spinach daily. These are cheap crops you grow yourself

• For maximum affection, save Aurorite Ore for Aurelis. Mine it in the deep Moonlit Forest zones

• Check the cash register at Aureleaf Kitchen to buy all 28+ recipe blueprints. Many players miss this

• At 3 Hearts, visit his private room above the kitchen for a unique gift and character dialogue

• Aurelis's 5-heart farm help is one of the best romance perks in the game. He waters crops, pets animals, and cooks you a buff meal every morning

• His schedule is very predictable. Find him inside the kitchen between 2 PM and 10 PM on any day

• Avoid giving ores and processed materials. He strongly dislikes Copper, Gold Ingot, and Hardwood Plank
