Solara

Overview

Solara is the Mayor's granddaughter and his official assistant at the Community Center in Starsand Town. She is also the player's childhood best friend and one of the first characters you meet when you arrive on Starsand Island. She greets you at the dock and walks you through the opening tutorial, teaching you how to chop trees, clear your yard, and decorate your home. She hands you your first Axe blueprint and introduces you to the island's key locations.

Solara is one of 15 romanceable characters and one of two childhood romance options alongside Delphin. Her bubbly personality and central role in the story make her a popular first romance pick. See the Relationship System article for how Affection Points and heart levels work.

Profile

Personality

Solara is warm, outgoing, and full of boundless energy. Players and fans have described her as the golden retriever of human beings. She is always upbeat and genuinely excited to see the player. Her optimism seems to attract good fortune, and she is widely considered the heart of the island's community, beloved by young and old alike.

She cares deeply about Starsand Island and takes her role as the Mayor's assistant seriously, though she can be occasionally scatterbrained. She tends to worry about getting things perfect. She has an obvious, unresolved crush on the player character that most of the townspeople can see.

Background

Solara is a native islander and the granddaughter of The Mayor. Her parents are dedicated to charity work and spend most of their time off the island, which led Solara to feel a deep sense of responsibility toward island affairs from a young age. After completing her university studies, she returned to Starsand Island to help her grandfather manage the town, taking on the role of Mayor's Assistant at the Community Center.

The player character and Solara were childhood friends before the player left the island roughly ten years ago. When the player returns, Solara is one of the first familiar faces they encounter, and the reunion forms the emotional foundation of the game's opening.

Location and Schedule

During the day, Solara is almost always at the Community Center in Starsand Town, where she handles profession certifications and town business. Her house is on the street above the Community Center.

To track Solara at any time, open your phone's Social app and use the Locate button to see her current position on the map with a route drawn, or the Follow button to track her movements in real time.

Gift Preferences

Solara accepts one gift per day. Loved gifts give +15 Affection Points and liked gifts give +10. Talking to her daily also gives +5 points. See the Gift Guide for a full comparison of all characters' preferences.

Food is generally a safe choice for Solara, but stay away from fish and raw ores. She is one of the few characters who hates Pickled Water Spinach, so avoid giving her preserved vegetables.

Quests and Role

Solara provides the opening tutorial quests that teach you the basics of resource gathering, crafting, and home decoration. She is also the Profession Certifier at the Community Center. Whenever you are ready to advance to the next tier in any profession, speak with Solara to get certified. After completing profession quests with your mentor, return to Solara for the official certification and a recruitment bonus.

Romance

Solara is one of the two childhood romance options, alongside Delphin. She is well suited for players who enjoy a slow-burn, friends-to-lovers dynamic. Since she is the first character you meet, building Affection with her from day one is natural and easy. Her romance path explores whether childhood affection can grow into something deeper.
