Overview
The Exploration Club is a shop and gathering point in the Green Meadow area, operated by Zephyria. It is the hub for the Explorer profession and provides access to adventuring tools, combat materials, and exploration blueprints. The club is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
The shop sells all weapon and ammo blueprints in the game. There is also a public Ammo Maker on the left side of the counter, which lets you craft ammunition even before you build your own Ammo Maker at home. This is especially useful early on when you need pellets for the Slingshot but have not yet unlocked the blueprint to build your own crafting station.
Location
The Exploration Club sits in Green Meadow, northwest of Starsand Town. It is positioned near the Green Pasture Ranch, making it convenient to visit both the Explorer and Rancher mentors in a single trip. The nearest bus stop provides fast travel access from other parts of the island. Zephyria can often be found sitting under a tree near the club or practicing archery down the hill when he is not at the counter.

Blueprint Inventory by Explorer Tier
Weapon and ammo blueprints unlock as you advance through the Explorer profession tiers. Once purchased, blueprints are learned permanently.
Default (No Certification Required)
Blueprint | Description |
|---|---|
Crafting station for producing all pellet and arrow types | |
Simple Pellet | Basic slingshot ammo; cheap to craft from stone |
Apprentice Explorer
Blueprint | Description |
|---|---|
Regular Bait | Basic bait used in combination with traps |
Bait Holder | Storage container for carrying bait |
Upon becoming an Apprentice Explorer, Zephyria gives you the Slingshot blueprint, your first ranged weapon for the Moonlit Forest. The Slingshot requires 2 Softwood and 2 Fiber to craft.
Junior Explorer
Blueprint | Description |
|---|---|
Blast Pellet | Explosive slingshot ammo; deals area damage |
Stink Bomb | Throwable that disorients enemies |
Plume Bow | First bow weapon; longer range than the Slingshot (5 Hardwood, 6 Carbon Line) |
Arrow | Standard bow ammunition |
Stinky Arrow | Arrow variant that disorients targets |
Bomb Arrow | Explosive arrow that deals area damage |
The Junior tier is where combat opens up significantly. The Bow has better range and damage than the Slingshot, and the variety of arrow types gives you tactical options against different enemies and bosses.
Senior Explorer
Blueprint | Description |
|---|---|
Gale Arrow | Wind-element arrow with knockback effect |
Wood Arrow | Inexpensive arrow crafted from common materials |
Expert Explorer
Blueprint | Description |
|---|---|
Time Arrow | The most powerful arrow in the game; high damage with slowing effect |
Upgraded Weapons
Beyond the base weapons, upgraded versions can be crafted as you progress:
Weapon | Tier | Materials |
|---|---|---|
Apprentice | 2 Softwood, 2 Fiber | |
Golden Slingshot | Junior | 1 Slingshot, 3 Gold Ore |
Plume Bow | Junior | 5 Hardwood, 6 Carbon Line |
Golden Bow | Junior | 1 Plume Bow, 2 Gold Ingot |
Quest reward for Expert Explorer rank | 15 Premium Wood, 3 Gold Wire, 4 Iron Sheet |
The Crossbow blueprint is not sold at the shop. It is found inside a chest in the deeper sections of the Moonlit Forest. The Moonlight Glow Stick (2 Radiant Core, 1 Glass Pane, 2 Softwood) is also found rather than purchased.
Special Arrow Mechanics
Two special arrow types have environmental effects beyond combat, and they are required to progress through certain areas of the Moonlit Forest:
Type | Details |
|---|---|
Fire Arrow | Burns branches and tree roots that block passages. Without these, certain paths in the forest remain sealed off. |
Water Arrow | Causes branches and roots to grow, creating natural bridges over gaps. Used to cross chasms that cannot be jumped. |
Both arrow types are essential for solving environmental puzzles and reaching deeper forest zones.
Health-Restoring Recipes
The Exploration Club also sells special cooking recipes that restore health rather than stamina. These combat-focused recipes are distinct from the food you cook at the Aureleaf Kitchen or Marlo's Morning Delights. Preparing health-restoring food before a Moonlit Forest run is strongly recommended, especially at Junior tier and above when enemies become genuinely dangerous.
Explorer Profession
Speaking with Zephyria at the Exploration Club starts the Explorer profession questline. The Explorer profession focuses on combat, Moonlit Forest navigation, and resource gathering in dangerous areas. At each tier, Zephyria assigns trial quests that test your ability to handle tougher challenges. See Explorer Trial Walkthroughs for step-by-step guides.
Tier | Key Requirement | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
Apprentice | Defeat a Runebird and collect fragments | Slingshot blueprint, Moonlit Forest access |
Junior | Defeat the Crystalith boss | Bow and arrow blueprints, deeper forest zones |
Intermediate | Complete Bruce's Sharpshooter Stall challenge (shoot 35 balloons) | Access to Azure Bay area resources |
Senior | Repair the Waterwheel in the forest | Gale Arrow, Wood Arrow, deeper zones |
Expert | Defeat the Ruin Guard (final boss) | Time Arrow, full Moonlit Forest access |
The Explorer profession is recommended as the second profession to pursue after Crafter. Many of the ores and resources found in the Moonlit Forest (iron, gold, diamonds) are unavailable anywhere else on the island and are required for higher-tier crafting recipes across all professions.
Zephyria
Zephyria is the leader of the Exploration Club and the island's Explorer mentor. He arrived on Starsand Island two years before the game begins. Raised by an archaeologist mentor who discovered him as an infant, Zephyria traveled extensively before his mentor's death. He established the Exploration Club to continue his mentor's life's work: locating the seventh ancient civilization, completing an unfinished guide to the island's ruins, and collecting relics.

Zephyria follows a highly structured daily routine. His mornings begin with outdoor Tai Chi and target practice, followed by foraging expeditions lasting until noon. Afternoons are spent on crafting maintenance and martial arts training, and evenings take him back to the woodlands. At night he can be found stargazing or finishing his training regimen. On rainy days he stays indoors working out, reading, or maintaining his equipment.
