Starsand Town
This article has been recognized for its exceptional quality and comprehensive coverage.
The Soluna Cafe Lodge is the only inn in Starsand Town, combining a cozy cafe on the ground floor with charming guest rooms upstairs. It serves drinks and snacks that restore stamina, and it is one of only two shops in town that stays open 24 hours a day (the other being Zerine's General Store). When every other food vendor has closed for the night and you need a quick energy boost, the Soluna Cafe is always available.
The official description captures its appeal: a cozy cafe by day where you can sip coffee, and charming guest rooms upstairs where the gentle sea breeze lulls you to sleep at night. For travelers looking to unwind on the island, this is the go-to spot.
The cafe is on the north side of Starsand Town, near the Community Center and the plaza. If you are standing at the plaza and face Ethereal Styles (the clothing store), the Soluna Cafe Lodge is directly across the street. The storefront is smaller than more prominent shops like Zerine's General Store, so first-time visitors sometimes walk past it.
Open 0:00 to 24:00 (around the clock). This is unusual for Starsand Town. For comparison:
Shop | Hours |
|---|---|
Open 24 hours | |
Soluna Cafe Lodge | Open 24 hours |
8:00 AM to 10:00 PM | |
Most other shops | 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM |
6:00 AM to 11:00 AM |
The Soluna Cafe focuses on drinks and snacks rather than full meals. The items sold here restore stamina, making the cafe a quick pit stop when you need to top off energy between tasks. It does not sell blueprints, cooking recipes, or equipment. For full meals, recipes, and kitchen blueprints, visit the Aureleaf Kitchen instead.
The Soluna Cafe fills a different niche from the Aureleaf Kitchen: fast, available-anytime stamina recovery when you do not want to cook your own food. It is especially useful after late-night Moonlit Forest runs when you return to town past 10:00 PM and every other food vendor is closed.
The upper floor of the Soluna Cafe Lodge houses guest rooms, making it the only inn in Starsand Town. The inn aspect adds to the building's atmosphere and makes it feel like a central gathering place for travelers and islanders alike. A hidden treasure chest can be found on the upper level near the cash register area. Check behind the counter and along the upstairs walls for it.
Charlene is the NPC who staffs the Soluna Cafe Lodge. She works the counter and is available during all operating hours. Charlene is a non-romanceable character, so you cannot pursue a romantic relationship with her. You can still build a friendship by giving her gifts daily. Outside of her shifts, Charlene rents a room at Granny Hattie's house.
Charlene's gift preferences:
Category | Items |
|---|---|
Favorite gifts | Moonflower, Moondew Shroom, Pink Sleep Lily |
Liked gifts | |
Disliked gifts |
Building friendship with Charlene still contributes to your overall social progress on the island, even without romance-specific heart events.
Delphin, the fishing mentor who runs AquaBlue Outpost, prefers to unwind alone at the Soluna Cafe Lodge when night falls. If you need to find Delphin in the evening and he is not at his usual fishing spot, check the cafe. This makes the Soluna Cafe a useful location to know for players working on their Fishing profession relationship with Delphin.
Starsand Town has three main food vendors, each filling a different role:
Vendor | Hours | Specialty | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
Soluna Cafe Lodge | 24 hours | Drinks and snacks (stamina recovery) | Inn rooms upstairs, no blueprints |
8:00 AM to 10:00 PM | Full meals and takeout | Sells 28+ cooking recipes, Gas Stove blueprint (1,000 Coins), Juicer blueprint (550 Coins) | |
6:00 AM to 11:00 AM | Hot breakfast meals with buff effects | No blueprints, shortest hours of any shop |
In practice, most players visit the Aureleaf Kitchen during the day for recipes and meals, grab buff breakfasts from Marlo's in the early morning, and rely on the Soluna Cafe for late-night stamina refills when everything else is closed.
Stop by the Soluna Cafe before heading into the Moonlit Forest at night. A quick stamina snack saves you from burning through your cooking supply early.
Charlene's favorite gifts (Moonflower, Moondew Shroom, Pink Sleep Lily) are all found in the wild. Keep a few in storage for easy daily gifting.
The cafe does not sell cooking recipes. If you want to learn new dishes, visit the Aureleaf Kitchen or find recipe chests in the world.
Check the upper floor for a hidden treasure chest. It is easy to miss if you only visit the ground-floor counter.
Look for Delphin here in the evenings if he is not at his usual spot. He likes to relax at the cafe after dark.
Use the cafe as your emergency food stop when all other shops are closed and you forgot to cook at home.
