Marlo's Morning Delights is a beloved local breakfast spot in Starsand Town with one defining feature: it is only open for five hours each day. The doors open at 6:00 AM and close at 11:00 AM, giving you a narrow window to stop in. If you sleep past the morning or get absorbed in farm chores, you miss it entirely.
Steam always drifts from beneath the stall's old-style colored steel roof. The menu features traditional breakfast fare: fresh rice rolls, steamed buns, rich soy milk, and savory congee made from a family recipe. For many islanders, the day starts right here. Marlo remembers everyone's usual order, quietly using food to give the neighborhood a warm and comforting start to their day.
The restaurant is in Starsand Town, adjacent to Ethereal Styles (Lunelle's clothing shop) near the town plaza, with the Soluna Cafe Lodge across the street. It is easy to walk past on your first visit since the stall does not stand out the way larger shops like Zerine's General Store do. Look for the colored steel roof and the steam rising from it.
6:00 AM to 11:00 AM (5 hours daily). This is the shortest operating window of any shop in the game.
Shop | Hours |
|---|---|
Open 24 hours | |
Open 24 hours | |
8:00 AM to 10:00 PM | |
Most other shops | 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM |
Marlo's Morning Delights | 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM |
The early opening time does have an upside: it is the first shop available each morning. You can stop in at 6:00 AM before any other vendor has opened, grab a buff meal, and head straight to your tasks.
The menu consists of hot breakfast meals that provide temporary gameplay buffs, similar to the cooked food you can make yourself but without needing to gather ingredients or own the right cooking station. Marlo offers a rotating selection of dishes, so the specific items available may change from day to day.
Confirmed menu items include:
Item | Description |
|---|---|
Fresh Rice Rolls | A light breakfast wrap. |
Steamed Buns | Filling and warm, a staple of Marlo's menu. |
Rich Soy Milk | A traditional morning drink. |
Savory Congee | Made from a family recipe, one of the heartiest options. |
All items are fully prepared and ready to eat. You do not need cooking stations, recipes, or ingredients to benefit from them. The food here provides gameplay buffs comparable to meals cooked at home, making the shop especially useful for players who have not invested in their own kitchen setup yet. Exact prices and specific buff effects are still being documented by the community during Early Access.
Marlo runs the breakfast stall. He is a minor NPC in Starsand Town and is not romanceable. Friendship with Marlo caps at 4 hearts (the standard non-romanceable maximum). He does not appear among the 15 romanceable characters, and detailed gift preference data for him has not been fully published in community guides. His schedule outside of shop hours (after 11:00 AM) is not well documented.
A black Shiba Inu named Bobo can be found wandering near Marlo's Morning Delights. Bobo is one of the adoptable pets on the island. Interact with Bobo daily and feed him his favorite food to build affection toward adoption. If you are visiting Marlo's for breakfast each morning, stop and pet Bobo on your way out to gradually work toward adopting him.
A hidden treasure chest is located behind the vending machines near Marlo's Morning Delights. Look around the back of the stall and check behind the vending machines for a chest tucked out of sight. It contains the Outdoor Projection Screen Blueprint along with Potato Seeds, Wheat Seeds, and Cucumber Seeds. This chest is easy to miss because the vending machines block the line of sight from the main path.
The limited hours create a genuine time-management decision. Mornings in Starsand Island are prime time for farming (watering, harvesting), fishing (morning-exclusive fish), and checking the Bulletin Board for daily requests. Squeezing in a trip to Marlo's before 11:00 AM means either waking up early or accepting that some other morning task gets delayed.
For players who cook their own buff food, Marlo's becomes less essential over time. But in the early game, before you have a kitchen setup and a library of recipes, buying a buff breakfast here is one of the simplest ways to start each day with a stat advantage. The buffs from purchased breakfast food can also stack with any food you eat later, so there is no downside to grabbing a meal here before heading out.
Visit at 6:00 AM sharp if you want to combine the trip with other morning errands. The shop opens before most other vendors.
If you are heading into the Moonlit Forest for the day, grab a breakfast buff first. The boost stacks with any food you eat later in the dungeon.
The 11:00 AM closing time is firm. Do not expect to stop by at noon.
As your cooking skills improve, you may rely on Marlo's less. But in the first few weeks, it is a convenient shortcut for buff meals.
If you consistently miss the 6:00 to 11:00 window, the Soluna Cafe Lodge is open 24 hours and sells stamina recovery items, though with different buff options.
Check behind the vending machines near the stall for a hidden treasure chest containing the Outdoor Projection Screen Blueprint and several seed packs.
Pet Bobo the Shiba Inu near the stall each morning to work toward adoption. Combining this with your breakfast run costs no extra time.
