Delphin

Overview

Delphin is the Fishing Mentor and runs the AquaBlue Outpost on the pier at Half-Moon Bay. He is a former professional surfer from a noble family who left an unhealthy home life to live with his aunt on Starsand Island. As a child, he became close friends with the player before the player left the island. He is eager to reconnect when you return.

Delphin is one of 15 romanceable characters and one of two childhood romance options alongside Solara. He also maintains the island's deep-sea observatory, where players can watch fish and whales in their natural habitat. Personality

Delphin is passionate about everything related to the ocean, fishing, surfing, and diving are part of his daily routine. He is honest, direct, and never beats around the bush. Beneath his laid-back surfer exterior, he is fiercely loyal and protective of the people he cares about. He is patient and friendly, making him one of the most approachable characters on the island.

Where to find Delphin

Delphin can usually be found at the AquaBlue Outpost on the pier at Half-Moon Bay. He often lifts weights outside the shop entrance. If he is not out front, head inside and take the elevator down to the ocean observatory below the store. His home is on the pier opposite the AquaBlue Outpost, but you need at least 3 hearts before you can enter.

How to track Delphin

Once you have interacted with Delphin, his contact appears in your phone's Social app.

• Locate: Shows his current position on the map and draws a route to get there.

• Follow: Tracks his movements in real time. His location appears as a flag that moves with him.

Note: Some community sources list Red Beaded Starfish as hated rather than loved for Delphin. The majority of guides report it as loved (+15), which is consistent with his fishing theme. As Starsand Island is in Early Access, gift preferences may be updated in future patches.

Quests and role

As the Fishing Mentor, Delphin certifies you through the Angler profession tiers: Apprentice, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and Expert. Visit the AquaBlue Outpost at Half-Moon Bay to begin the fishing questline and receive your first basic fishing rod.

He sells fishing equipment, bait, and supplies. His inventory expands as you advance through certification levels, see the aquarium article for the full tier-by-tier blueprint breakdown, including fishing rods, aquariums, fish ponds, and fish traps.

Through the Starsand Port at Half-Moon Bay, Delphin's Parrot Ship provides access to three deep-sea fishing zones: the Coral Sea, Luminwave, and Celestwave. He also lends you a jet ski for the Offshore Racing event during the Beach Festival.

At higher Affection, he unlocks advanced fishing recipes and intermediate fishing quests. At 4 Hearts, his Bulletin Board request access unlocks and he provides fish-related items as quest rewards.

Romance

Delphin is one of the two childhood romance options alongside Solara. His ocean-romance aesthetic and loyal personality have made him a fan favorite.

At Heart Level 3, you can enter his bedroom above his home (stairs at the back of the building), which contains a treasure chest with exclusive decor. At Heart Level 5, you can ask him to move in with you. He will then help around the farm at Hopeland clearing debris, tending animals, and watering plants.
