Farming in Starsand Island works differently from most farming sims in two important ways. First, planting, watering, and harvesting cost zero stamina. Stamina is only spent on tilling soil with the Hoe and refilling the Watering Can. Once plots are prepared, the entire farming loop is stamina-free. Second, crop growth runs in real time, measured in hours from the exact second you plant a seed. There are no morning resets or day-based growth stages. A seed planted at 6 PM will finish growing at the precise time its growth timer expires.
The farming profession is mentored by Graminova at the Happiness Seed Shop. Crops unlock across five certification tiers (Apprentice through Expert), with some basic crops available before any certification. Seeds are available for purchase year-round regardless of season, though crops only grow during their designated seasons.

Four crops can mutate into giant versions when planted in a 3x3 grid of the same crop: Pineapple (Spring), Watermelon (Summer), Pumpkin (Autumn), and Winter Melon (Winter). Giant crops require an Axe to harvest and yield significantly more produce. Success rate is moderate but can be boosted with Gmax III Fertilizer (+15% mutation chance).
Everlasting crops do not die after harvesting. They continue producing indefinitely, and removing one refunds the seed. Available for all plantable crops including trees. Obtained through the Eternal Blessings skill (Senior Farmer tier), Islandpedia plant rewards, and as random drops from regular harvests. See the dedicated Everlasting Seeds page for details.

Plant different colored flowers (Red, Yellow, Blue) with empty soil plots between them to create hybrid mutations: Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, or Black variants. Black flowers are exclusive to Sleep Lilies.
The main farm has 8 purchasable plots at 15,000 Coins each. Additional farming locations unlock through community quests and Island reputation:

Sprinklers are placed between crop tiles and automatically water the surrounding area. Three main tiers (Sprinkler I, Sprinkler II, Sprinkler III) unlock through the farming profession, with higher tiers covering larger areas. Advancing both Farming and Crafting professions is needed for the materials.
Sell raw crops at Zerine's General Store or process them first for higher value. Cooking increases profit by 1.1 to 1.5x, and the Pickling Jar gives the highest multiplier at 1.85 to 2.78x. For maximum profit, sell processed goods to the Merchant Ship at Starsand Port, which pays 200% of normal value every Monday.
