Overview
You need Coins for Land Expansion, clothes, blueprints, recipes, vehicles, and more. The main income sources are farming, fishing, cooking, mining, Bulletin Board requests, and the Stamp Collection. The Merchant Ship at Starsand Port doubles your profits on everything you sell.

One thing to know up front: the Crafter profession route does not generate money outside of quest completions. If you go Crafter first, you will still need to farm, fish, or cook to fund things. Do not skip farming even if crafting is your focus.
Important: you cannot sell items from your inventory menu. Visit a shop and use the sell function, or place items in the Shipping Box.
Farming
Your farm should be the first priority for stamina each day. The Happiness Seed Shop has a limited supply of seeds daily, so buy all available seeds whenever you visit. For crop mechanics, see the Farming guide.
Best Crops by Sell Value
The game starts in Summer. Here are the best crops sorted by sell value:
Crop | Season | Tier Required | Sell Price |
|---|---|---|---|
All seasons | Immediate | 16 Coins | |
Summer/Autumn | Apprentice | 22 Coins | |
Summer | Apprentice | 24 Coins | |
All seasons | Apprentice | 27 Coins | |
All seasons | Apprentice | 32 Coins | |
All seasons | Apprentice | 80 Coins | |
All seasons | Apprentice | 58 Coins | |
Spring/Summer | Junior | 95 Coins | |
All seasons | Junior | 93 Coins | |
All seasons | Junior | 99 Coins | |
Spring/Summer | Junior | 103 Coins | |
Summer | Junior | 101 Coins | |
Summer | Junior | 131 Coins |
Watermelon at 131 Coins each is the standout during Summer. After Summer ends (day 28), pivot to all-season crops like Soybean and Sugarcane. Planting 9 of the same crop in a 3x3 grid can trigger a giant mutation; see Gmax Crops for details.
Crop Optimization Tips
Use sprinklers to automate watering and save stamina for other income activities.
Use Fertilizer to speed up crop growth. Higher-tier fertilizers reduce grow time significantly.
Bumblebee hives from beekeeping speed up crop growth noticeably when placed near fields.
Sell raw crops only if you do not have cooking recipes yet. Cooking multiplies value dramatically.
Fishing
Fishing requires nothing except a rod and time. No special setup or significant stamina cost. It is one of the best early-game income sources because you can start within the first 30 minutes. Even basic river fish sell for 50 to 150 Coins each. See All Fish for species and locations.
Best Fish to Sell (Summer)
Fish | Location | Sell Price |
|---|---|---|
Ocean | 176 Coins | |
Snakehead | River | 163 Coins |
Ocean | 152 Coins | |
River | 129 Coins |
A full day dedicated to fishing can earn 1,000+ Coins with zero infrastructure investment. Fish during all times of day and in different weather conditions to encounter different species. Deep-sea fishing from the Yacht offers even higher-value catches in the late game.
Cooking
Cooked food sells for significantly more than raw ingredients. Cooking is one of the best mid-game income strategies because it multiplies the value of cheap ingredients.
Best Early and Mid-Game Recipes
Recipe | Ingredients | Sell Price | Profit vs. Raw |
|---|---|---|---|
2x Moon Shroom | 54 Coins | Free ingredients (foraged) | |
90 Coins | 3.8x (vs. 24 Coins raw) | ||
2x Cucumber | 127 Coins | High profit from cheap crop | |
1x Sunveil + 1x Moondew Shroom + 1x Mirthshroom + 1x Fine Salt | 166 Coins | Uses free foraged mushrooms | |
246 Coins | Best return for two common ingredients |
Golden Fried Rice at 246 Coins is the standout recipe. Once you have chickens producing eggs and a steady rice supply, batch-cook Golden Fried Rice daily for reliable high income.
Additional Cooking Income
The Jam Maker (unlocked through Glass crafting) turns fruit into Jam, which sells well and makes a good gift.
The Separator instantly processes raw crops into base ingredients for recipes. Use it to prepare ingredients in bulk.
Drinks from the Juicer can also be profitable, especially energy drinks and smoothies.
Mining Ores
One of the most efficient money sources once you can access the Moonlit Forest. At the end of each day, dump any remaining stamina into mining. Smelt the ores in your Furnace (stock up on Wood for Charcoal) and sell the resulting ingots.
Processing ingots further into sheets or planks takes too much time relative to the return. Just sell them as bars unless you need the sheets for crafting. See the Mining Guide for ore locations and processing chains.
Bulletin Board Requests
The Bulletin Board is outside the Community Center in Starsand Town. This is the fastest way to earn consistent daily income.
Detail | Information |
|---|---|
Requests per day | Up to 4 |
Daily income | 1,500 to 2,000 Coins when all 4 are completed |
Request types | Most are fetch quests for common items you already have in storage |
Bonus | Completing requests also raises Affection with the NPC who posted the request (+15 to +30 points) |
Convenience | You can turn in request materials directly from your storage. You do not need to carry the items. |
Always check the Bulletin Board first thing in the morning. Many requests ask for items you already have in storage, making them essentially free money.
Stamp Collection
The Stamp Collection in the Islandpedia phone app rewards Coins for reaching collectible milestones. You hit most of these just by playing normally.
Sample Milestone Rewards
Category | Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|---|
Gathering | 10 items | 1,500 Coins |
Gathering | 19 items | 3,000 Coins |
Gathering | 37 items | 7,000 Coins |
31 items | 2,000 Coins | |
61 items | 3,000 Coins | |
121 items | 7,000 Coins | |
196 items | 15,000 Coins | |
271 items | 25,000 Coins |
Go to the Moonlit Forest early to knock out a chunk of gathering stamps. A few days of exploring covers many early milestones. The 25,000 Coin crafting milestone is a massive payout that comes naturally over time.
The Merchant Ship
The Merchant Ship is the single best way to maximize profits. It unlocks after completing the Starsand Port Construction quest from Marston (requires 15 Stone + 15 Softwood).
The Merchant Ship buys items at 200% value, double what any shop will pay.
Save your most valuable items (rare fish, high-tier ingots, cooked dishes) for the Merchant Ship.
Golden Fried Rice sold at the Merchant Ship earns 492 Coins each instead of 246.
The Merchant Ship docks periodically at Starsand Port. Check the port regularly.
Ranching Income
Ranching becomes a strong passive income source in the mid and late game. Animals produce byproducts daily when fed:
Animal | Product | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Eggs | Used for Golden Fried Rice (246 Coins). Chickens also eat flying pests on your farm. | |
Sells well raw and is an ingredient in many recipes. | ||
Processed into cloth at the Loom for textile crafting or direct sale. | ||
Truffles | Pigs dig up Truffles, which sell for high prices. Requires daily feeding. |
Animal products, especially Truffles from pigs and Eggs from chickens, scale well into late game when combined with cooking and Merchant Ship sales.
Late-Game: Everlasting Seeds
The ultimate farming income comes from Everlasting Seeds. These are seeds that produce crops which regrow indefinitely after each harvest and ignore season restrictions, growing year-round.
Unlock the "Eternal Blessings" skill at Senior Farmer tier in the Workpedia. This gives a chance to receive Everlasting Seeds when harvesting.
At level 3 of Eternal Blessings, the drop rate is high enough to build a reliable seed stock.
The best late-game crops for Everlasting Seed farming are Chirpy Plum (500 Coins each) and Trippy Plum (505 Coins each).
With full sprinkler coverage and bumblebee hives, crops mature in about 2 days per cycle.
A full field of Everlasting plum trees can generate over 100,000 Coins per major harvest.
At this stage, selling raw high-value crops directly is more efficient than cooking them. The time spent processing does not justify the marginal profit increase when you are harvesting hundreds of 500-Coin fruits per cycle.
For maximum late-game income, focus specifically on Immortal Seeds (the rarer variant of Everlasting Seeds) because they ignore seasonal restrictions entirely. The best crops to sell raw with immortal seeds are Zapped Rice (593 Coins), Trippy Plum (505 Coins), Chirpy Plum (500 Coins), and Fluff Bean (490 Coins). Sell them raw instead of processing into jams or pickles because the additional crafting time does not justify the marginal value increase at scale.
Set up dedicated fields near sprinklers with Bumblebee hives overlapping the field to accelerate growth to roughly two in-game days per full harvest. A single large immortal-seed field generates thousands of coins per harvest, and multiple fields can push daily income past 100,000 coins.
Automated Processing at Scale
In the late game, the most profitable strategy is running large numbers of processing stations simultaneously. Two setups dominate:
Method | Station | Inputs | Sell Price | Key Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Jam production | Jam Maker (10+) | 2 fruit + 3 sugar | 500+ coins each | Fruit trees regrow without replanting |
Pickle production | Pickling Jar (20+) | 2 vegetables + salt | 300-600 coins each | Salt automated via Mining Robot |
Critical tip: Always sell processed goods through the Merchant Ship at Starsand Port for 200% value. A jam worth 512 coins at a regular shop sells for 1,024 coins at the Merchant Ship. This single step doubles your entire revenue.
The Mining Robot is essential for the pickle pipeline. Deploy it at salt deposits in the Moonlit Forest so salt accumulates passively while you manage crops. For jam, process beets into sugar at the Separator and harvest fruit trees with a charge attack to save stamina. At full scale with 10+ Jam Makers and 20+ Pickling Jars, you can exceed 100,000 coins per in-game week without constant manual effort.
See the Jam Maker and Pickling Jar articles for detailed setup guides.
