Overview
The Juicer is a specialized crafting station in Starsand Island dedicated to making drinks and beverages. While regular dishes and cooked food are prepared on the Stove or Gas Stove, all drinkable items (fruit juices, smoothies, and other beverages) are made exclusively with the Juicer. This distinction is important: if a recipe produces a drink, it can only be crafted at the Juicer, not at any cooking station.
The Juicer also provides a 1.105x value multiplier on processed items, meaning drinks sell for about 10.5% more than the raw value of their ingredients. This makes the Juicer a useful tool for turning surplus fruit and other ingredients into profitable beverages.
How to Unlock
The Juicer blueprint is available from Zerine's terminal at the General Store. It becomes purchasable as you progress through the Crafter profession questline. Check the crafting terminal periodically as you advance through Crafter tiers, because the Juicer blueprint may appear alongside other station blueprints.
Crafting Recipe
The Juicer is built at the Worktable. The materials required are standard resources available on the island.
Material | Quantity | Source |
|---|---|---|
Hardwood | 5 | Chop hardwood trees in the Moonlit Forest or island surface |
Copper Sheet | 2 | Process at the Cutter (1 Copper Ingot + 1 Copper Ore per sheet) |
Glass | 3 | Smelt Sand in the Furnace |
Glass is crafted by smelting Sand at the Furnace. Sand can be gathered from beach areas around the island.
Placement
Place the Juicer on your Hopeland property after crafting. It takes up a small footprint, roughly the same size as the Stove. For an efficient kitchen layout, place the Juicer near your Stove or Gas Stove and your ingredient storage so you can quickly switch between cooking food and blending drinks.
How It Works
The Juicer operates similarly to other crafting stations:
Interact with the Juicer to open its crafting interface.
Select a drink recipe from the available list.
Add the required ingredients.
The Juicer processes the ingredients and produces the finished drink.
Collect the completed beverage from the output.
Processing is generally fast. Most drink recipes take only a short time to complete.
Juicer vs. Stove and Gas Stove
It is easy to confuse which station to use for food and drink recipes. Here is a clear breakdown:
Station | Makes | Value Multiplier | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Cooked dishes (meals, snacks) | Varies by recipe | First cooking station available. Handles most food recipes. | |
Advanced cooked dishes | Higher than Stove | Upgraded cooking station with access to more recipes and better output. | |
Juicer | Drinks (juices, smoothies, beverages) | 1.105x | The only station that can produce drinks. No cooked food. |
If a cooking recipe does not appear on your Stove or Gas Stove, check the Juicer. Drink recipes are exclusively available there.
Drink Types
The Juicer can produce several categories of beverages. Each drink has different effects, sell values, and ingredient requirements.
Category | Typical Ingredients | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Fruit Juices | Various fruits (Apples, Oranges, Berries, tropical fruits) | Restore stamina or provide minor buffs. Good for selling due to the 1.105x multiplier. |
Smoothies | Fruits plus Milk or Cream | Stronger restoration effects. Higher sell value than simple juices. |
Specialty Beverages | Rare ingredients, specific combinations | Unique buffs or high sell prices. Discovery recipes. |
Experimenting with different ingredient combinations at the Juicer can unlock new drink recipes. If you have surplus fruit from your farm or fruit trees, running them through the Juicer is almost always more profitable than selling the raw fruit.
The 1.105x Value Multiplier
The Juicer provides a flat 1.105x value multiplier on all drinks it produces. This means that any drink you create sells for approximately 10.5% more than the combined raw value of its ingredients. While this margin is not enormous on a per-item basis, it adds up significantly when processing large batches of fruit.
For example, if you have a stack of Oranges worth 50 coins each, turning them into Orange Juice at the Juicer yields a product worth more than the raw Oranges. Over the course of a full harvest season, the extra profit from the Juicer can fund equipment upgrades, blueprint purchases, and other expenses.
Tips
Process surplus fruit through the Juicer rather than selling it raw. The 1.105x multiplier provides a consistent profit margin over raw ingredient sales.
Place the Juicer next to your Stove or Gas Stove for a convenient kitchen setup. You can prepare meals and drinks in quick succession without running across your Hopeland.
Check the Juicer for recipes that do not appear on cooking stations. All drink recipes are Juicer-exclusive.
Use the Juicer as part of a farming profit loop: grow fruit, harvest, process into drinks, sell for boosted value.
Experiment with ingredient combinations to discover new drink recipes. Some high-value beverages require specific combinations that are not obvious from the recipe list.
Pair the Juicer with an upgraded farm. Fruit trees and berry bushes provide a renewable supply of Juicer ingredients every harvest cycle.
