Alex

Overview

Alex is the owner of Lex Woodworks, the furniture shop in Starsand Town. She is a skilled woodworker and carpenter who grew up under her grandmother's care after her parents abandoned her when they left for new marriages. She channeled that difficult upbringing into developing her crafting skills at a young age and now makes her living building and selling furniture for the island's residents.

Alex is one of 15 romanceable characters. Her guarded exterior hides a big softy underneath, and her romance arc rewards players who take the time to break through her walls.

Personality

Alex comes across as guarded and cold at first. Her somewhat stony exterior can make a rough first impression. Underneath, though, she is a kind and practical person who is keen to help out. She loves animals and has covered the island with homemade birdhouses and cat cabins for Starsand's smaller wildlife. She is especially helpful once she learns you live in a ramshackle, crumbling cottage on the outskirts of town, offering tips on how to furnish and upgrade your home.

Where to find Alex

Alex can usually be found at or near Lex Woodworks, located down the road from the Newsstand in Starsand Town. The shop is open from 08:00 to 22:00. She does not always stay inside the shop. She sometimes roams the forest looking for materials.

Her bedroom is upstairs above Lex Woodworks, but you need at least 3 hearts (370 AP) before you can go up.

How to track Alex

Once you have interacted with Alex, her contact appears in your phone's Social app.

• Locate: Shows her current position on the map and draws a route to get there.

• Follow: Tracks her movements in real time. Her location appears as a flag that moves with her.

Heart level progression

Each heart level requires cumulative Affection Points and unlocks new features. You can give one gift per day (plus bonus points from Bulletin Board requests).

Lex Woodworks shop

Lex Woodworks is the primary destination for home furnishing and decoration. Alex sells furniture blueprints, finished furniture pieces, and decorations. The shop also has a Glowing Shell Exchange section where items cost Glowing Shells instead of standard coins.

Her rotation includes rare items that are unavailable anywhere else on the island. Items reportedly rotate on a weekly cycle, so check back regularly for new stock.

Quests and role

Alex is not a profession mentor, so she does not have a formal profession questline. However, she posts Bulletin Board requests that grant between 15 and 25 Affection Points when completed. Her heart events and relationship progression reveal story content about her past, her passion for woodworking, and her relationship with her grandmother.

Romance

Alex triggers a special meet-cute cutscene the first time you encounter her. Her romance arc revolves around her workshop, her creative ambitions, and her personal growth. As your Affection deepens, heart events reveal more about her difficult past and her passion for furniture design.

At Heart Level 3, you can enter her bedroom upstairs above Lex Woodworks, which contains a treasure chest with exclusive decor. At Heart Level 5, you can ask her to move in with you. She will then help around the farm. Clearing debris, tending animals, and watering plants.
