Stamp Collection

Overview

The Stamp Collection is a collectibles tracking system accessible through the player's in-game phone. It tracks your progress in discovering and collecting items across multiple categories, including crops, fish, bugs, cooking recipes, and more. Completing stamp categories earns rewards and contributes to your overall island progression.

The system encourages thorough exploration and engagement with every aspect of island life. Each category displays the items you have discovered alongside empty slots for those you have yet to find, giving you a clear picture of your collection progress at any time.

How It Works

Stamps are automatically recorded when you obtain or discover an item for the first time. Catching a new fish, harvesting a new crop type, cooking a new recipe, or catching a new bug all count as stamp completions. You do not need to hold onto the item permanently; simply obtaining it once is enough to register the stamp.

The Stamp Collection interface organizes items into clearly labeled categories. Each category shows a progress counter (for example, 12/30) so you can quickly see how close you are to completing a set. Fully completing a category unlocks a reward.

Categories

The Stamp Collection covers items from all major gameplay systems. Categories include:

• Crops: All growable crops and flowers across every season

• Fish: Every fish species from all water biomes and seasons

• Bugs: All 20 catchable insects found around the island

• Cooking Recipes: Every dish you have successfully prepared

• Resources: Ores, wood types, and gathered materials

• Animal Products: Items collected from your ranch animals

Rewards

Completing stamp categories provides rewards that range from coins and crafting materials to unique items that are not obtainable through other means. The system is designed as a long-term goal that spans your entire playthrough, encouraging players to experiment with all of the game's systems rather than focusing on just one activity.

Relationship to Other Systems

The Stamp Collection works alongside the Islandpedia, which serves as a more detailed catalog of everything you have discovered. While the Islandpedia provides descriptions and details about individual items, the Stamp Collection focuses on tracking completion progress and dispensing rewards. The two systems complement each other: the Islandpedia tells you about what you have found, while the Stamp Collection tells you what you still need to find.

Progress in the Stamp Collection also feeds into the StarNote Achievements system, with several achievements tied to completing specific stamp categories or reaching certain collection milestones.
