Overview
The Bulletin Board is a daily request system located outside the Community Center on the east side of Starsand Town's plaza. Each morning it refreshes with up to four NPC requests, each asking you to deliver a specific item within a time limit. Completing requests is one of the fastest ways to earn Coins in the early and mid-game, and it doubles as a way to build Affection with the island's residents.
How it works
The board refreshes every day at 6:00 AM with a new set of requests. Each request is posted by a specific NPC who needs a particular item: crops, cooked dishes, crafted goods, or gathered materials. Accept a request, deliver the item to that NPC before the timer expires, and collect your reward.
You can have up to four active requests at once. If you cannot finish one in time, it simply expires with no penalty.
Difficulty tiers
Requests come in three difficulty levels:
Item | Description |
|---|---|
1-Star (Simple) | easy fetch quests with generous time limits. Good for beginners and for items you already have stockpiled. |
2-Star (Normal) | moderate difficulty. May require crafted or cooked items that take some preparation. |
3-Star (Difficult) | tight time limits and harder-to-obtain items. Multiple guides recommend skipping these early on. They are significantly easier once you have advanced crafting stations and a well-stocked inventory. |
Rewards
Each completed request gives three things:
Coins: the payout is significantly higher than selling the same item directly. A single request for 5 Peppers, for instance, can net over 1,000 Coins.
Starsand: the secondary progression currency used for Workpedia skill upgrades and land expansion.
Affection points: +15 to +25 Affection with the NPC who posted the request. This stacks with daily conversation and gift-giving, making the board one of the most efficient ways to raise relationships.
On an average day, completing all four requests earns roughly 1,500 to 2,000 Coins. That makes the Bulletin Board one of the best daily income sources, especially before batch cooking or deep-sea fishing become available.
Total Completion tracker
The board has a "Total Completion" tab that tracks how many requests you have finished across each difficulty tier. At certain milestones, you can claim bonus prizes including large Coin payouts. Completing 30 total requests is also required for one of the Island Life Ranking progression tasks, which gates land expansion unlocks.
Building a personal bulletin board
Traveling to the Community Center every morning gets tedious. Once you reach the Apprentice or Junior Crafter level, you can purchase a Request Bulletin blueprint from Zerine's General Store. Build it on your property and you can accept requests from home without the daily trip to town.
Strategy
Check the board at 6:00 AM daily. Treat it like watering your crops: a morning routine that pays consistently.
Keep a stockpile of commonly requested items (basic crops, cooked dishes, crafted materials). If you already have the item, accepting and delivering takes seconds.
Focus on 1-star and 2-star requests early. The 3-star requests have strict time limits that are frustrating without advanced gear.
Use the Bulletin Board to target specific NPCs for romance. If an NPC you are pursuing posts a request, completing it gives both Coins and Affection.
Remember that the Bulletin Board reward is on top of the item's normal value. You are not selling the item; you are delivering it for a bonus.
