Overview
The Bumblebee is the standard worker bee in Starsand Island. Bumblebees are responsible for collecting Honey and providing crop pollination. Unlike most ranch animals that are purchased directly, Bumblebees are primarily produced by Queen Bees placed inside Beehives. They can also be purchased from Pastelle at Green Pasture Ranch for 400 Coins, making them the cheapest animal available at the Intermediate Rancher tier.

How Bumblebees Work
Bumblebees operate differently from other ranch animals. Rather than roaming a barn or pasture, they live inside a Beehive and automatically collect Honey during working hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM). Each Beehive has 13 total slots for bees and can store up to 800 Honey and 20 Royal Jelly.
Bumblebees also provide a valuable secondary function: crop pollination. When placed near farmland, Bumblebees increase the growth speed and yield of nearby crops, making them useful for both ranchers and farmers.
Queen Bees and Bumblebee Production
The primary way to grow your Bumblebee population is through Queen Bees. A Queen Bee takes up 7 of the Beehive's 13 slots. Each day, a Queen Bee consumes a portion of the Royal Jelly fed to it and produces a new Bumblebee, provided there is at least one empty slot in the hive.
Queen Bees are not purchasable from any shop. They must be found in the wild inside Giant Beehives, which appear on White Fig trees. The best-known location is the area west of Cloudrest Lake. Small wild beehives usually contain a few Bumblebees, while large hives have a chance to drop a Queen Bee.
How to Get Honeycomb
Before you can build your own Beehive, you need Honeycomb as a crafting material. Honeycomb is obtained by destroying wild beehive nests found hanging from trees across the island. Equip a tool and strike the beehive to collect Honeycomb. Be aware that disturbing wild hives may cause bees to attack briefly.
Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly is the food source for Queen Bees. It can be produced by placing one Egg and five Honeycombs into a Feeder machine. Maintaining a steady supply of Royal Jelly is essential for continuous Bumblebee production from your Queen Bee.
Honey Uses
Honey is a versatile ingredient used in cooking recipes such as Cloud-Soft Toast and Star Canelight. It can also be sold directly for a steady income. Bees are one of the most efficient passive income sources because they collect Honey automatically during daytime hours with minimal player intervention.
Tips
At 400 Coins, Bumblebees are the cheapest ranch animal. Buy a few early to start Honey production while saving for more expensive animals.
Find a Queen Bee from a Giant Beehive in the wild to grow your bee population without spending Coins on individual Bumblebees.
Place Beehives near your crop fields to take advantage of the pollination bonus for faster crop growth.
Stock up on Eggs and Honeycomb to produce Royal Jelly consistently. Without Royal Jelly, your Queen Bee will stop producing new Bumblebees.
Unlike other ranch animals, Bumblebees have no breeding variants or rarity tiers. There is only the standard Bumblebee.
Honey collection is fully automatic during work hours. Just make sure your hive is not full (800 Honey cap) or production stops.
