Overview
The Islandpedia is a phone app that serves as a comprehensive catalog of everything you have collected, discovered, crafted, or cooked during your time on Starsand Island. It is available from early in the game: press Tab (or the phone button) and select Islandpedia from the app menu. Once a blueprint, recipe, or item is learned or obtained, it is permanently added to the Islandpedia under its respective category.
The Islandpedia also contains a Stamp Collection rewards system (accessible from a tab at the bottom of the Islandpedia screen) that grants coins, exclusive recipes, seeds, and blueprints as you reach collection milestones. Many players overlook this feature because it sits at the bottom of the interface, leaving thousands of coins unclaimed.
Categories
The Islandpedia tracks items across six main categories:
Cuisine
All cooking recipes you have prepared. The Islandpedia shows each dish's ingredients and which cooking station is needed. The game has 50+ recipes across multiple sources. Stamp rewards for this category are exclusive cooking recipes not available anywhere else.
Bio Research
Creatures you have caught or discovered. Contains two major subcategories:
Aquatic Life: 105 sea creatures spread across multiple fishing zones. The three deep-sea zones are accessible from Starsand Port.
Zone | Approx. Species |
|---|---|
River | ~52 |
Lake | ~43 |
Ocean | ~38 |
Coral Sea (deep-sea) | ~8 |
Luminwave (deep-sea) | ~8 |
Celestwave (deep-sea) | ~7 |
~5 | |
~5 |
Additional zones include Darkwater Shore and Dreamfall Garden within the Moonlit Forest. Some species appear in multiple zones, so the zone totals add up to more than the 105 unique species tracked by the Islandpedia. You can view each creature's spawn conditions, locations, and time-of-day requirements directly in the app.
Insects: 20 bug species found across four habitats:
Habitat | Count | Species |
|---|---|---|
By the Flowers | 6 | Luminwing Butterfly, Moonshade Butterfly, Rainbowing Butterfly, Solarwing Butterfly, Swallowtail Butterfly, Bumblebee |
Forest | 9 | Cicada, Glazed Cicada, Mantis, Amber Hornscarab, Emerald Hornscarab, Blue Firefly, Glazed Firefly, Green Firefly, Red Firefly |
By the Water | 3 | Banner Dragonfly, King Dragonfly, Yellow Dragonfly |
2 | Celeb Moth, Velbee |
Crafting
All items you have crafted, including furniture, tools, and processed materials. The Islandpedia shows which crafting station is needed and which materials are required. There are 271+ craftable items tracked in this category. See the blueprints article for where to find crafting recipes.
Plants
Crops and wild plants you have grown or discovered. The game has 50+ seed types. Stamp rewards for this category are Everlasting Seeds: special seeds for crops that regrow indefinitely after harvest, making them extremely valuable for long-term farming at Hopeland. Collecting all flower color variants (including hybrids from cross-breeding) contributes to Plants stamp progress.
Gatherables
Raw resources and gathered materials found around the island: ores, wood, flowers, shells, and foraged items.
Home Items
Furniture and decorative items you have placed in your home. Stamp rewards for this category include exclusive blueprints. Aquariums displayed in your home also count toward this category.
Stamp Collection
The Stamp Collection is a rewards system built into the Islandpedia. Access it by opening the Islandpedia app and selecting the Stamp Collection tab at the bottom of the screen.
How It Works
As you play normally (gathering, crafting, cooking, catching fish, farming, decorating), items are automatically registered in the Islandpedia. When you reach specific collection thresholds in each category, you earn a stamp and can claim its reward. You do not need to grind intentionally. Just remember to open the app periodically to claim accumulated rewards.
Reward Types by Category
Category | Reward Type |
|---|---|
Gatherables | Coins |
Coins | |
Cuisine | Exclusive cooking recipes |
Plants | |
Bio Research | Colored animals (sheep), recipes, and blueprints |
Home Items | Recipes and blueprints |
Gatherables Stamp Rewards
Stamp | Items Required | Reward |
|---|---|---|
1 | 17 | 1,500 Coins |
2 | 28 | 3,000 Coins |
3 | 45 | 7,000 Coins |
Total from Gatherables: at least 11,500 Coins. These are the easiest stamps to complete through normal gathering activity.
Crafting Stamp Rewards
Stamp | Items Required | Reward |
|---|---|---|
1 | 31 | 2,000 Coins |
2 | 61 | 3,000 Coins |
3 | 121 | 7,000 Coins |
4 | 196 | 15,000 Coins |
5 | 271 | 25,000 Coins |
Total from Crafting: 52,000 Coins. The fifth stamp requires crafting nearly every item in the game. The first three stamps are easily reachable through normal play.
Cuisine Stamp Rewards
Stamp | Reward |
|---|---|
1 | Spicy Boiled Beef recipe |
2 | Sauteed Grouper Fillet with Shrimp Roe recipe |
3 | Strawberry Mousse recipe |
4 | Mango Sago recipe |
5 | Pumpkin and Corn Soup recipe |
These five recipes are exclusive to the Islandpedia and cannot be purchased from any shop or found in chests.
Bio Research Stamp Rewards
Bio Research stamps reward special animals and items. The most notable milestone:
Reward | Details |
|---|---|
72 discoveries | Awards 3 Orange Sheep and 3 Blue Sheep delivered directly to your farm. These colored sheep produce colored wool for the Dye System without the randomness of breeding. |
Earlier stamps | The Dango Rabbit is awarded at the first stamp tier, and the Luna Rabbit at the second. These are unique animal breeds. |
The 72-discovery threshold is achievable with a combination of fish and bug catches alone. The Bio Research category counts fish, insects, and animal discoveries together.
Bio-Research Milestones
The Bio-Research section of the Islandpedia tracks your discoveries of wildlife species, primarily fish and bugs. As you log new species, you fill discovery stamps that unlock milestone rewards.
Milestone | Stamps Required | Reward |
|---|---|---|
Colored Sheep Unlock | 72 discovery stamps | 3 Orange sheep + 3 Blue sheep (ready to shear) |
The 72-stamp colored sheep reward is significant because orange and blue sheep are otherwise only obtainable through random breeding. Receiving them directly saves substantial time and RNG frustration. The reward sheep can also serve as breeding stock to produce additional color variants. See Colored Sheep Variants for the full list of all 12 sheep colors.
The most efficient way to reach 72 stamps is to combine fishing and bug catching. Each new fish species and bug species counts as one stamp. Completing Angler profession quests naturally fills many fishing stamps, and catching bugs while gathering bumblebees for beehives counts toward the total as well.
Tips
Visiting the Moonlit Forest early helps unlock several stamps quickly due to unique collectibles found there.
Fish in all water types during different times of day to maximize Aquatic Life discovery. Visit the deep-sea zones at Starsand Port.
The system tracks everything passively. Catching bugs, crafting furniture, and growing plants all contribute automatically.
Check the app every few in-game days to claim accumulated rewards. Stamps do not auto-collect.
Early stamps from Gatherables and Crafting can net you 5,000+ Coins with no extra grinding. Prioritize these if you need money.
Catch both daytime and nighttime bugs. Fireflies and moths appear at night, while butterflies and dragonflies appear during the day.
The Islandpedia is separate from the StarNote app, which is a different achievement system rewarding Starsand Points and cosmetic items. Check both apps for unclaimed rewards.
