Crafter Profession
The Crafter profession is the first and only mandatory profession in Starsand Island. It is mentored by Zerine, who runs the General Store in Starsand Town. Crafting gates access to all four other professions, so players must complete at least the Apprentice Crafter certification before they can begin Farming, Fishing, Ranching, or Exploration. Each tier of the Crafter profession unlocks new crafting stations, tool blueprints, and recipes that are essential for progressing through the rest of the game.
Tier Overview
Tier | Certification Quest | Key Task | Notable Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
Apprentice | Apprentice Crafter Certification | Craft a Skateboard and deliver it to Neona | |
Junior | Junior Crafter Certification | Craft Verdant Breeze Rollerblades | Ore Analyzer, Worktable II, Cutter II |
Intermediate | Intermediate Crafter Certification | Craft an Energy Converter for Delphin | |
Senior | Senior Crafter Certification | Craft two Realm Boxes for Graminova | |
Expert | Expert Crafter Certification | Craft a Robot Terminal and build a Teleporter |
Apprentice Crafter
The Apprentice Crafter certification is the very first profession quest in the game and serves as an introduction to the crafting system. To begin, visit Zerine at the General Store and pick up the Equipment Blueprint Pack from the register for free. This pack teaches you how to build three foundational stations: the Furnace I, the Cutter I, and the Charcoal Kiln.
Quest Steps
Build the Cutter I, Charcoal Kiln, and Furnace I at your Worktable and place them on your property.
Use the Charcoal Kiln to produce Charcoal from Fibers and Softwood. Gather Fibers by cutting shrubs with your Axe.
Smelt Copper Ingots at the Furnace using 4 Copper and 1 Charcoal per ingot.
Craft a Skateboard at the Worktable using Copper Ingots and Softwood Planks.
Deliver the Skateboard to Neona at G-Power Bike, located northeast of your property.
Return to Zerine at the General Store to receive your Apprentice Crafter certificate.
Rewards
Apprentice Crafter Certificate and title
The Workpedia app, which lets you spend Starsand Points on permanent upgrades like increased stamina and improved gathering yields
Access to the four other professions: Farmer, Angler, Rancher, and Explorer
Junior Crafter
The Junior Crafter certification is significantly more involved than the Apprentice tier. Zerine tasks you with crafting a pair of Verdant Breeze Rollerblades, a permanent vehicle that gives you a faster way to travel around the island. This quest introduces the Ore Analyzer and teaches ore processing, which becomes critical for higher-tier crafting.
Quest Steps
Purchase the required blueprints from the General Store.
Make 2 Copper Sheets at the Cutter. Each sheet requires 1 Copper Ingot and 1 Copper.
Craft an Ore Analyzer at the Worktable using 2 Copper Sheets and 8 Hardwood. Place it on your property.
Travel to the Moonlit Forest and mine Copper, Tin, or Fluorite veins to collect 5 Common Ore Chunks. Ore Chunks are a random drop, so you may need to mine more than five veins.
Process the 5 Common Ore Chunks in the Ore Analyzer to obtain 5 Ancient Gear Parts.
Make 2 Bronze at the Furnace (1 Charcoal + 1 Tin Ingot + 1 Copper Ingot each).
Make 3 Radiant Cores at the Furnace (1 Charcoal + 4 Fluorite each).
Craft the Verdant Breeze Rollerblades at the Worktable using 2 Bronze, 3 Radiant Cores, and 5 Ancient Gear Parts.
Return to Zerine to complete the certification.

Intermediate Crafter
The Intermediate Crafter certification introduces advanced material processing. Zerine asks you to craft an Energy Converter and deliver it to Delphin at the AquaBlue Outpost. This quest requires you to work with Uncommon Ore Chunks and alloy-tier metals for the first time.
Quest Steps
Purchase the Energy Converter blueprint from the General Store.
Purchase the Impact Hammer from the General Store. You need it to dig up Soil Mounds in the Moonlit Forest, which yield Uncommon Ore Chunks.
Collect Spirit Cube Fragments by decomposing Uncommon or Rare Ore Chunks at the Ore Analyzer.
Craft Alloy at the Furnace II using Gold, Copper, Iron, and Coal.
Craft Magnets at the Furnace using Magnetite and Coal.
Craft Starflare Cores at the Furnace using Primorite and Coal.
Assemble the Energy Converter at the Worktable.

Senior Crafter
The Senior Crafter certification tests your ability to handle complex, multi-step crafting jobs. Zerine directs you to Graminova at the Happiness Seed Shop, who requests two Realm Boxes. Building Realm Boxes requires large quantities of alloys, Spirit Cubes, and Starflare Cores. After delivering the Realm Boxes, Zerine also tasks you with crafting a Waverider, a hoverboard vehicle that lets you travel across water.

Tips and Strategy
The Crafter profession should always be your first priority. Every other profession depends on crafting stations that are locked behind Crafter certifications.
Stockpile Copper, Iron, and Coal early. You will need large quantities for Alloy recipes starting at the Intermediate tier.
Build multiple Furnaces and Cutters to process materials in parallel and cut down on waiting time.
The Ore Analyzer is your main source of Ancient Gear Parts and Spirit Cube Fragments. Keep feeding it Ore Chunks whenever you visit the Moonlit Forest.
Prioritize reaching Intermediate Crafter as quickly as possible, since it unlocks the Energy Converter and Furnace II, both of which are needed for almost every other profession's higher-tier quests.
For the Senior trial, plan a dedicated trip to the Harvest Yard in the Moonlit Forest to mine Flamecore Ore. Bring plenty of Pickaxe durability and food for stamina.
Start collecting Primorite and Gold Ore early; you will need them in bulk for Starflare Cores and Alloys at the Senior and Expert tiers.
