Overview
Completing the main story in Pokemon Pokopia takes approximately 20 to 40 hours, after which the credits roll. However, the credits are far from the end. Post-game content focuses on full completion: unlocking Magnet Rise (the final Ditto move), collecting all Pokemon, assembling all fossils, solving the Mysterious Mural to unlock Mew, maxing out Environment Levels, and pursuing creative building projects with the full set of traversal abilities.
Main Story Completion
To see the credits, you must complete the following in all four story regions (Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges, and Sparkling Skylands):

Complete each area's Important Request
Rebuild each area's Pokemon Center
Raise Environment Level to 5 in all areas
Complete all Team Initiation Challenge parts (8 stages)
Reach Master Trainer Rank
The final stage of the Team Initiation Challenge transforms the lighthouse into a rocket ship, triggering the credits sequence. After the credits, the game continues with new post-game content unlocked.
Unlocking Magnet Rise
Magnet Rise is the 14th and final Ditto transformation ability, exclusive to the post-game. It is learned from Magnemite in Withered Wasteland.
After completing the Team Initiation Challenge and watching the credits, a hole opens in the lighthouse building in Withered Wasteland. Drop down into it to discover a hidden underground area: a former Team Rocket Hideout. Inside, a lone Magnemite waits. Befriend it by talking to it, then complete its request to unlock Magnet Rise. There is also an alternative path into the hideout: face the lighthouse entrance, walk left along the narrow strip of land between the lighthouse wall and the water, look for a gap where two blocks are missing, and drop down. Use Rock Smash on the ground blocks ahead, follow the underground passage to the stairs, and pass through the glass doors into the hideout.
Magnet Rise enables:
Ability | Details |
|---|---|
Free vertical flight | fly up and down without needing platforms or ramps |
Mid-air block placement | place or replace up to 9 blocks simultaneously while airborne |
Block absorption | absorb and pick up blocks directly ahead of you |
Item pickup | pick up almost every placed item while flying |
Magnet Rise makes building dramatically easier and is considered the most important post-game unlock. Magnemite's habitat is the Factory Storage, built with 1 Streetlight (any), 1 Control Unit, 1 Metal Drum, and 1 Jumbled Cords.
While exploring the Team Rocket Hideout, you also find the Rocket Hideout CD, a hidden music collectible for DJ Rotom.
Unlocking Mew
Mew is unlocked by collecting all Mystery Slates and placing them on the Mysterious Mural, a wall covered in Unown symbols located in an underground chamber in Withered Wasteland (accessible by breaking through blocks near the Pokemon Center).
There are 28 Mystery Slates in total, one for each Unown form (26 letters plus ! and ?). Each slate has an Unown symbol engraved on its back (rotate the slate 180 degrees to see it). Match each slate to the corresponding symbol on the Mural. Slates are found in glowing treasure blocks across all five islands using the Dowsing Machine. You will not find a duplicate slate until you have found all unique ones.
Completing the Mural unlocks Mew, the final Pokemon in the Pokopia Pokedex. Unlike other legendaries, Mew stays on your island permanently. You can build Mew a house, have it follow you, and use its abilities.
Legendary and Mythical Pokemon
Pokopia features 12 legendary and mythical Pokemon. Some are encountered during the main story, while others require post-game effort:
Pokemon | How to Encounter | Can Befriend? |
|---|---|---|

Post-Credits Activities
Complete the Pokedex
Most players finish the story with roughly 70% of the Pokedex filled. The Pokopia Pokedex contains 300 Pokemon in the base game, with Mew as the final entry. The remaining Pokemon require building rare habitats, visiting Dream Islands, exploring Palette Town for Eeveelutions and Legendary Birds, and meeting specific weather and time conditions for elusive species. Full Pokedex completion takes an additional 50 to 80 hours.
Pokedex Completion Room
After registering all 300 Pokemon in the Pokedex, Professor Tangrowth rewards the player with the recipe for the Neo-Dowsing Machine. This upgraded version of the standard Dowsing Machine can detect hidden structures that the regular model cannot pick up. Tangrowth directs the player to take it to Sparkling Skylands and scan the northwest area of the main island.
Using the Neo-Dowsing Machine in the indicated spot reveals a concealed Area Gate built into the terrain. Scanning your completed Pokedex at the gate unlocks it, granting access to a hidden office space sometimes called the Pokedex Completion Room. This area resembles a small developer office, with desks, computers, and shelves filled with Pokemon memorabilia.
Inside the room, players can collect three exclusive crafting recipes and a printable completion certificate:
Reward | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
Printer Recipe | Crafting Recipe | Unlocks the Printer furniture item. The Printer can reproduce any item the player has a picture of and is functionally similar to the one found in Pokemon Centers. |
Shutter Recipe | Crafting Recipe | Unlocks the Shutter, a door component that can be combined with a Card Reader to create custom Area Gates on your islands. |
Card Reader Recipe | Crafting Recipe | Unlocks the Card Reader, a scanner component. Pair it with a Shutter to build your own lockable Area Gates for base design and multiplayer. |
Pokedex Diploma | Certificate | A printable wall certificate that reads: "We hereby certify your achievement of completing the Pokedex. May this great feat be celebrated by all!" Interact with the Printer at the back of the room to receive it. |
The Shutter and Card Reader together let players build their own custom Area Gates, which can be placed anywhere on their islands. This is especially useful for multiplayer, where players can lock off sections of their shared builds or create puzzle rooms that require specific credentials to enter. The Printer itself is a versatile crafting station that becomes one of the most convenient furniture items in the late game.
The Pokedex Completion Room can be revisited at any time after the initial unlock. Players who stumble upon the sealed gate early in the game (before completing the Pokedex) will see a locked terminal that hints at the reward, but the gate will not open until all 300 entries are registered.
Collect All Fossils
There are 22 fossil pieces representing 9 fossil Pokemon to discover and assemble at the Museum in Rocky Ridges: Aerodactyl, Cranidos, Rampardos, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Amaura, and Aurorus. Fossil Pokemon are recruitable once their display habitats are built. Fossil hunting requires patience and daily visits to mining areas with the Dowsing Machine.
Complete All Mystery Slates
Find all 28 Mystery Slates to complete the Mysterious Mural and unlock Mew. The Mural is located in an underground chamber in Withered Wasteland.

Collect Ancient Artifacts and Human Records
Two additional collection categories round out the post-game:
Ancient Artifacts (Lost Relics): 37 Large Relics and 46+ Small Relics, found via Rock Smash and appraised by Professor Tangrowth. Trade appraised relics to Gimmighoul for furniture.
Human Records: Lore documents scattered across all regions that reveal the history of Pokopia's post-apocalyptic Kanto setting, including references to characters from past Pokemon games.
Max All Comfort Levels
Raise every befriended Pokemon's comfort level to Awesome. This requires extensive furniture crafting, food preparation, building custom houses, and completing personal requests from each Pokemon.
Collect All Recipes and Items
Find every cooking recipe, crafting recipe, furniture item, and CD in the game. Some recipes are only available through the Daily Shop rotation or Cloud Island shops.
Build and Create
With all 14 moves unlocked (including Magnet Rise for vertical flight and mid-air block placement), the endgame becomes a creative sandbox. Build elaborate structures in Palette Town, design themed habitats, or construct ambitious multi-story buildings in any region.
Multiplayer and Cloud Islands
Create and share Cloud Islands with other players. Post-game is when Cloud Islands become most rewarding, since you have access to all moves, materials, and recipes. Share Magic Numbers online for creative island showcases.

Tips
The game is designed as a life simulation first and a story second. There is no pressure to rush completion.
Unlock Magnet Rise as early as possible after the credits. It transforms the building experience entirely.
Take advantage of limited-time events when they appear. Event-exclusive Pokemon and items count toward full completion.
Use the system clock trick to access past events if you missed them. Event content is tied to the console clock, not an online server.
Cloud Island recipes and items may differ from your main game. Visit Cloud Shops regularly to find recipes you are missing.
The Mysterious Mural in Withered Wasteland is easy to miss. Look for breakable blocks near the Pokemon Center to find the underground chamber.
Collect Rainbow Feathers and Silver Wings whenever Ho-Oh or Lugia fly overhead. Use Water Gun or Cut to grab the feathers before they disappear.
