Overview
Tyrantrum is a Rock/Dragon-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Despot Pokemon (Dex #277). Complete restoration is impossible, allowing room for theories that its entire body was once covered in a feather-like coat. Tyrantrum is the evolved form of Tyrunt in the main series and one of several fossil Pokemon in Pokopia. It carries two specialties: Litter (Stone) and Crush, making it a strong material-processing companion.
Habitat
Tyrantrum can be found at one habitat.
Despot Fossil Display (#199)
A display of ancient Pokemon fossils. This fine skeletal specimen was once the ruler of the land.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Pedestal | 2 | Exhibition stands for the skeleton |
Despot Fossil (head) | 1 | Head portion of the skeleton |
Despot Fossil (body) | 1 | Body portion of the skeleton |
Despot Fossil (legs) | 1 | Leg portion of the skeleton |
Despot Fossil (tail) | 1 | Tail portion of the skeleton |
Tyrantrum is a Common visitor at the Despot Fossil Display. This is a single-Pokemon habitat, so only Tyrantrum visits. The habitat requires six items total, including four separate fossil pieces and two pedestals, making it one of the more demanding fossil displays to complete.
How to Befriend
Build the Despot Fossil Display by placing two Pedestals along with all four Despot Fossil pieces (head, body, legs, and tail) near each other. Collecting all four fossil parts requires dedication to the fossil digging system. Once the complete display is assembled, Tyrantrum will appear as a Common visitor. Walk up and interact with it to befriend it.
Specialties
Litter (Stone)
Tyrantrum has the Litter specialty with a Stone variant. Pokemon with the Litter specialty scatter materials around the area. In Tyrantrum's case, it produces stone-type materials over time, which can be collected and used for crafting. This makes Tyrantrum a passive resource generator for stone-related building materials.
Crush
Tyrantrum also has the Crush specialty, shared with its pre-evolution Tyrunt. The Crush specialty lets Tyrantrum break down rocks, ores, and hard objects into smaller usable pieces. Having both Litter and Crush means Tyrantrum can both produce stone materials and process them.

Similar Pokemon
Tyrantrum shares habitat preferences with Tyrunt, Rampardos, Bastiodon, Cranidos, Shieldon, Onix, Sudowoodo, Steelix, Marowak, and Bonsly. These Pokemon all enjoy stone and hard-material environments, so they can be grouped in a fossil-themed area of your island.
Related Pokemon
In the main Pokemon series, Tyrantrum evolves from Tyrunt at level 39 during the day. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own fossil display habitat independently. Tyrantrum's Despot Fossil Display is significantly more complex than Tyrunt's Jaw Fossil Display, requiring four separate fossil pieces instead of one.
Tips
Collecting all four Despot Fossil pieces (head, body, legs, tail) takes time. Start digging for fossils early if you want Tyrantrum.
The dual Litter (Stone) and Crush specialties make Tyrantrum one of the most productive fossil Pokemon for material generation. It passively produces stone materials and can actively crush them.
Place Tyrantrum's display near other fossil Pokemon habitats to create a museum-style fossil exhibit area on your island.
Tyrantrum prefers Sour-flavored foods, while Tyrunt prefers Sweet. Keep both flavors stocked if you have the pair.
