Overview
Shieldon is a Rock/Steel-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Shield Pokemon (Dex #274). Although its fossils can be found in layers of primeval rock, nothing but its face has ever been discovered. Shieldon is the first stage of a two-stage evolutionary line, evolving into Bastiodon in the main series. It carries the Crush specialty, allowing it to break apart rocks and hard objects.

Shieldon is a Common visitor at the Armor Fossil Display. It is the only Pokemon that visits this habitat. Like Cranidos's Skull Fossil Display, this is one of the simpler fossil habitats, requiring just two items.
How to Befriend
Build the Armor Fossil Display by placing a Pedestal and an Armor Fossil near each other. This is a straightforward habitat requiring only two items. Shieldon is a Common visitor, so it should appear quickly once the display is built. Walk up and interact with it to befriend it.
Specialties
Crush
Shieldon has the Crush specialty. Pokemon with the Crush specialty can break apart rocks, boulders, and other hard objects on your island. Despite being known as the Shield Pokemon with a defensive nature, Shieldon's hard face plate gives it the ability to smash through obstacles effectively. Assign Shieldon to a rock formation and it will break it into usable stone materials.

Its taste for Sweet-flavored foods means sugary treats and sweet berries are the best option. Shieldon's preference for round stuff is a nod to its rounded shield-like face.

Related Pokemon
Shieldon evolves into Bastiodon (Dex #275) in the main Pokemon series. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Shieldon has the Crush specialty, while Bastiodon carries both Litter (Stone) and Crush. Shieldon and Cranidos are counterpart fossil Pokemon from Generation 4, representing the defensive and offensive sides respectively. In Pokopia, they share the same Crush specialty but appear at different fossil display habitats.
Tips
The Armor Fossil Display requires only two items, making it one of the easiest fossil habitats to build. Grab a Pedestal and an Armor Fossil for quick access to the Crush specialty.
