Overview
In Pokemon Pokopia, Ditto serves as the player's avatar. Assigning a house to Ditto gives you a personal home base with fast travel capabilities and an Environment Level boost. To claim a house, you place a Ditto Flag on, inside, or near any building. This guide covers how to get your first flag, craft more, and manage your Ditto house.
Prerequisites
Before you can assign a house to Ditto, you need to progress through the early game and complete these steps:
Create your first house using a building kit.
Speak with Professor Tangrowth about living arrangements. This conversation unlocks the "Make your own house" challenge.
Complete the challenge to receive your first Ditto Flag.
Step 1: Acquire a Ditto Flag
First Flag
Your first Ditto Flag is awarded automatically after progressing through the game, building a house, and speaking with Professor Tangrowth about living there. No crafting is required for this initial flag.
Crafting Additional Flags
After setting up your first Ditto house, you unlock the recipe to craft additional Ditto Flags at any workbench. The crafting recipe requires:
Material | Amount |
|---|---|
Sturdy Stick | 1 |
Twine | 1 |
Leppa Berry | 1 |
This lets you set up multiple Ditto houses across different regions, each serving as a fast travel point.
Step 2: Place the Ditto Flag
Once you have a Ditto Flag, set it on top, inside, or near the building you want to claim. The flag marks that structure as your personal Ditto house.
Any house you create can be assigned as a Ditto house, even if it is already occupied by another Pokemon. This means you can live alongside other Pokemon in the same space if you wish.
Changing Your House
To change which building is your Ditto house, simply pick up the Ditto Flag from the current house and place it near your new desired residence. The fast travel point will update to the new location.
If you want to physically relocate the building itself, use a Relocation Kit for kit-built houses. Block-built houses must be moved by dismantling and rebuilding them block by block. Remember to remove the Ditto Flag before relocating the structure.
Benefits
Benefit | Details |
|---|---|
Fast Travel | Each Ditto house becomes a fast travel point. You can teleport to any Ditto house from anywhere on the map, saving significant travel time. |
Environment Level Boost | Establishing a Ditto house raises the Environment Level of the surrounding area, increasing comfort and unlocking new features. |
Shared living | You can share a house with other Pokemon, combining your home base with an active habitat. |
Tips
Set up a Ditto house in every region as you unlock them. This creates a fast travel network across the entire map.
The crafting materials for additional Ditto Flags (Sturdy Stick, Twine, Leppa Berry) are common items. Craft several flags early to prepare for new regions.
Place your Ditto Flag in a house near your main crafting area or Storage Box setup for the most convenient fast travel destination.
If you want to move a Ditto house with a Relocation Kit, always remove the Ditto Flag first. The Relocation Kit will not work while the flag is attached.
