Overview
Building Kits are pre-designed blueprints in Pokemon Pokopia that automate the construction of houses, public buildings, power structures, and special facilities. Unlike manual block-by-block building, kits provide complete structures that Pokemon assemble for you once you supply the required materials and workers. Kits range from small one-Pokemon dens to massive legendary bird facilities requiring 15 Pokemon and dozens of materials.
Building kits are organized into several categories: residential kits for housing Pokemon, Pokemon Center rebuilding kits for restoring area services, power and utility structures, commercial and decorative buildings, and the three legendary bird kits found in Palette Town.
How Building Kits Work
Obtain the kit from the PC Shop at a Pokemon Center (limited daily stock that replenishes the next day), from sparkling ripples in the environment, or from Poke Balls found in the world. Legendary bird kits are found as collectible items in Palette Town.
Place the kit at the desired location. A Construction Area is designated around the placement site.
Supply materials by interacting with the supply box at the Construction Area. The required materials are listed on screen.
Assign Pokemon with the required specialties. Most kits need at least one Pokemon with the Build specialty. Some also require Bulldoze, Burn, Water, Fly, or other specialties.
Start construction by pressing the build button. Assigned Pokemon work on the project and cannot be used for other tasks during the build period.
Wait for completion. Small structures like Dens finish in about 15 minutes. Larger buildings, including Pokemon Centers, complete at 5:00 AM the next in-game day.
The Engineer specialty (exclusive to Tinkmaster) reduces construction time for Building Kit projects. Having Tinkmaster participate in a build can significantly speed up larger projects.
Upgrading and Restrictions
You can upgrade a kit-built house by placing another Building Kit over it. The new structure replaces the old one while preserving all furniture inside.
You cannot downsize a house. A Cottage cannot be replaced with a Hut.
If a Pokemon is currently living inside, ask it to follow you first before placing the upgrade kit.
Building Kit structures cannot be duplicated on the 3D Printer.
Residential Kits
Residential kits come in four sizes and four aesthetic styles, plus several special variants. The four sizes are Den, Hut, Cottage, and House, and the four styles are Leaf, Sand, Stone, and City. This creates 16 core residential kits. Each style is purely cosmetic; the size determines capacity and floor count.

Pokemon Center Rebuilding Kits
Each of the four story areas has a ruined Pokemon Center that can be rebuilt. Rebuilding a Pokemon Center unlocks the PC Shop, healing machine, and various services for that area. All four kits require Environment Level 3 in the target area and cost 1,000 Life Coins from the PC Shop. Each requires 8 Pokemon workers.

Onix is hardcoded as one of the eight required workers for the Withered Wasteland Pokemon Center. If you have not rescued Onix during the "Yawn Up a Storm" quest in the Withered Wasteland, you will be stuck at seven out of eight workers.
Power and Utility Kits
Power structures supply electricity to lamps, machines, cooking appliances, and other electrical items. They are connected to buildings through Utility Poles. See the Building article for details on the electricity system.

All four power structures build in about one hour. Connect them to your buildings using Utility Poles (5 poles per craft: 2 Iron Ore, 2 Stone) to distribute electricity across your settlement.
Commercial and Decorative Kits
Commercial and decorative kits add functionality or visual flair to your settlement. Commercial buildings like the Poke Mart provide services, while decorative kits are primarily aesthetic.

Legendary Bird Kits
Three special building kits allow you to construct facilities for the legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Unlike other kits, these are not purchased from the PC Shop. Instead, they are found as collectible items on specific islands in Palette Town. Each requires 15 Pokemon workers and large quantities of materials.

Once a legendary bird facility is fully constructed, the corresponding legendary bird becomes a permanent resident of your island. Completing all three legendary bird facilities unlocks the Tidal Bell recipe, which can be used to summon another legendary Pokemon.
The legendary bird kits are the most expensive construction projects in the game. Plan your material stockpiles well in advance, especially for Pokemetal, Gold Ingot, and Lava Rock, which are only available in later game areas.
Tips
The Leaf Den is the cheapest and fastest building kit. Use it early to provide quick shelter for newly befriended Pokemon while you gather materials for larger structures.
Keep a stock of Lumber, Stone, and Iron Ore at all times. These three materials are used across most building kit recipes.
The PC Shop restocks building kits daily. If a kit you need is sold out, check again after 5:00 AM the next in-game day.
Upgrade houses rather than building new ones when possible. Placing a Cottage kit over a Hut preserves all furniture inside.
Pokemon Center rebuilding kits require Environment Level 3. Focus on raising your Environment Level by building habitats and increasing Comfort Levels before attempting the rebuild.
For legendary bird kits, start stockpiling materials in Rocky Ridges and Sparkling Skylands where advanced materials like Gold Ore and Lava Rock are available.
Station multiple Pokemon with the Build specialty near your construction sites. Having more builders assigned speeds up the process.
You can skip construction wait times by opening Settings, disabling internet time synchronization, and setting the system clock past 5:00 AM.
