Copper Ingot
Copper Ingot is a processed metal material in Pokemon Pokopia obtained by smelting Copper Ore. It is used in crafting recipes for furniture, cooking stations, and walls, as well as major building kits including the Abandoned Power Plant (Zapdos) and Altar of the Flame (Moltres).
Overview
Copper Ingot is a processed metal material in Pokemon Pokopia created by smelting Copper Ore at a Smelting Furnace. It is the most basic metal ingot available and appears in a wide range of early-to-mid game crafting recipes. Copper Ingots are needed for cooking stations, decorative furniture, wall panels, and several large-scale building kits. Because Copper Ore is the easiest ore to mine, Copper Ingots are generally the first ingots players produce in bulk.
How to Obtain
Copper Ingots are produced by placing Copper Ore into a Smelting Furnace and assigning a Pokemon with the Burn specialty to operate it. The conversion ratio is 1:1, so each piece of Copper Ore yields exactly one Copper Ingot. You can collect finished ingots while the furnace is still processing the rest of the batch; there is no need to wait for all ore to finish before picking up completed ingots.

Copper Ore Sources
Copper Ore is gathered by breaking reddish-brown ore blocks using the Rock Smash move. Unlike Iron Ore and Gold Ore, Copper Ore blocks near the surface do not require a powered-up Rock Smash, making them accessible early in the game. There are two main sources of Copper Ore.

Copper Ore blocks are found near the mine entrances on either side of the Pokemon Center. Deeper levels may require an upgraded Rock Smash (eat a Hamburger Steak to power it up). | |
Rock Peak Dream Island | Accessed by giving a Clefairy Doll to Drifloon. This island is rich in Copper Ore along with Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Cave Mushrooms, and other mining materials. You can visit once per day. |

Building Kit Uses
Copper Ingots are required in large quantities for three major construction projects. These building kits are among the most material-intensive in the game and play key roles in island development and legendary Pokemon encounters.
Building Kit | Copper Ingots | Other Materials | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
Abandoned Power Plant Kit | 50 | Iron Ingot x50, Sea Glass Fragment x50, Brick x50, Pokemetal x10 | Unlocks Zapdos |
Altar of the Flame Kit | 50 | Gold Ingot x50, Lava Rock x50, Pokemetal x10 | Unlocks Moltres |
25 | Stone x25, Iron Ingot x25, Crystal Fragment x5 | Rebuilds the Pokemon Center in Rocky Ridges |
The Abandoned Power Plant and Altar of the Flame each require 50 Copper Ingots, making them the largest single consumers of this material. Both kits also need 15 Pokemon assigned to construction with specific specialty requirements. For full details on these legendary encounters, see How to Get Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.
Comparison with Other Ingots
There are three standard ingot types in Pokemon Pokopia. Each is smelted from its corresponding ore at a Smelting Furnace. Copper Ingots are the most accessible but are used less frequently in late-game recipes compared to Iron Ingots and Gold Ingots.
Ingot | Source Ore | Mining Difficulty | Main Uses |
|---|---|---|---|
Copper Ingot | Easy (no upgrade needed near surface) | Furniture, cooking stations, walls, early building kits | |
Medium (deeper mine levels) | Tools, advanced construction, Pokemon Center kits | ||
Hard (volcano interior) | Premium furniture, Altar of the Flame |
Tips
Copper Ore is the most abundant ore in Rocky Ridges, and it does not require a powered-up Rock Smash to mine at the surface level. This makes Copper Ingots relatively easy to produce in bulk early in the game.
Set up multiple Smelting Furnaces to process ore in parallel. Place storage boxes nearby to manage your supply efficiently. Since you can pick up finished ingots while the furnace continues working, check back periodically rather than waiting for the entire batch to complete.
If you need to stockpile Copper Ore beyond what Rocky Ridges provides, visit the Rock Peak Dream Island daily by giving a Clefairy Doll to Drifloon. This island contains Copper Ore alongside Iron Ore, Gold Ore, and other mining materials.
Plan ahead for the legendary bird building kits. The Abandoned Power Plant (Zapdos) and Altar of the Flame (Moltres) each demand 50 Copper Ingots. Combined with the 25 needed for the Rocky Ridges Pokemon Center, you will want at least 125 Copper Ingots stockpiled before tackling these projects. Start smelting early and keep a steady supply in storage.
