Overview
Rampardos is a Rock-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Head Butt Pokemon (Dex #273). In ancient times, people would dig up fossils of this Pokemon and use its skull, which is harder than steel, to make helmets. Rampardos is the evolved form of Cranidos in the main series. It carries two specialties: Litter (Stone) and Crush, making it a dual-purpose resource Pokemon for both producing and breaking stone materials.
Habitat
Rampardos can be found at one habitat.
Headbutt Fossil Display (#195)
A display of ancient Pokemon fossils. This specimen's skull was harder than steel.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Pedestal / Exhibition Stand | 1 | Display base |
Headbutt Fossil (head) | 1 | Cranial fossil piece |
Headbutt Fossil (body) | 1 | Torso fossil piece |
Headbutt Fossil (tail) | 1 | Tail fossil piece |
Rampardos is a Common visitor at the Headbutt Fossil Display. It is the only Pokemon that visits this habitat. The display requires four items: one pedestal and three Headbutt Fossil fragments.
How to Befriend
Build the Headbutt Fossil Display by placing a Pedestal along with the three Headbutt Fossil pieces (head, body, and tail). This habitat requires you to find three fossil fragments, which is fewer than Aerodactyl's Wing Fossil Display but more than Cranidos's Skull Fossil Display. Once assembled, Rampardos is a Common visitor and should appear regularly. Walk up and interact with it to befriend it.
Specialties
Litter (Stone)
Rampardos has the Litter (Stone) specialty. Pokemon with the Litter specialty periodically leave behind materials for you to collect. Rampardos specifically produces stone materials, dropping rocks, pebbles, and other stone resources around your island. This provides a passive source of stone for crafting and construction.
Crush
Rampardos also has the Crush specialty. Pokemon with the Crush specialty can break apart rocks, boulders, and other hard objects on your island. Combined with its Litter (Stone) specialty, Rampardos creates a self-sustaining stone cycle: it produces stone materials passively and can also break down existing rock formations into usable resources.

Related Pokemon
Rampardos is the evolved form of Cranidos (Dex #272) in the main Pokemon series. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Rampardos gains the Litter (Stone) specialty on top of Cranidos's Crush specialty, making it strictly superior for stone resource management. The PokopiaDex notes that Rampardos's fossils have been found together with Bastiodon's fossils, seemingly from after they had fought to the finish, hinting at an ancient rivalry between the two.
Tips
Rampardos carries both Litter (Stone) and Crush, making it one of the best Pokemon for stone resource management. It can passively produce stones and actively break down rock formations.
The Headbutt Fossil Display requires three fossil pieces plus a pedestal. Compared to Cranidos's two-item Skull Fossil Display, it takes more effort to build, but Rampardos's dual specialties make it worth the investment.
Rampardos and Bastiodon are natural rivals in Pokopia lore. Consider placing their fossil displays near each other for a thematic paleontology exhibit.
If you only need the Crush specialty and want a quicker setup, start with Cranidos at the simpler Skull Fossil Display, then upgrade to Rampardos later for the added Litter (Stone) benefit.
