Vendor Directory
Comprehensive directory of every vendor, merchant, and shop NPC in Crimson Desert. Region-by-region listings for Hernand City, Hernand Region, Greymane Camp, Goldleaf Trading Posts, Demeniss, Pailune, Delesyia, Contribution Shops, black market vendors, Street Vendors, witch vendors, the Trust system, and tips for getting the best prices.
Overview
The Vendor Directory is a region-by-region reference listing every verified merchant, shopkeeper, and service NPC in Crimson Desert. Vendors are scattered across the continent of Pywel, selling everything from weapons and armor to cooking ingredients, horse tack, dyes, and Abyss Cores. Each major settlement has its own cluster of shops, and additional merchants appear at farms, docks, arenas, and remote landmarks as the story progresses.
Vendor availability is tied to story progression and regional Contribution. Settlements under hostile occupation may have limited or no vendor access until they are liberated through faction quests. Building trust with individual merchants through daily greetings, gift-giving, and completing their requests can unlock trade agreements that expand shop inventories. See the Vendors hub article for general buying and selling mechanics, currencies, and money-making strategies.
How the Vendor System Works
Every vendor operates on the same core rules. Interacting with a merchant opens a trade window where you can buy their stock or sell items from your inventory. Sales pay out in copper or silver depending on the item value, and the exchange rate is 100 copper to 1 silver. A few key mechanics apply across all vendors:
Uniform sale prices. You receive the same amount of currency for a given item regardless of which merchant you sell it to. There is no benefit to shopping around for a better offer when selling.
Midnight restock. Vendor inventories refresh every in-game midnight (0:00). Limited-stock items like bags, refined materials, and food ingredients become available again at that time.
Repurchase tab. If you sell an item and later want it back, open the vendor's Repurchase menu. The buyback price is higher than what you originally received, and the item stays in the tab for roughly two to three in-game days before it disappears for good. Items can only be repurchased from the same vendor you sold them to.
Regional inventories. Vendor stock varies by region. Shops in Hernand carry different equipment than shops in Demeniss or Delesyia. Visiting vendors in every settlement you discover is worth the effort.
Trust System and Trade Agreements
Every vendor and NPC in the world has a trust meter that tracks your relationship with them. Positive interactions fill the green side of the meter, while negative actions (theft, assault) push it into the red. Three primary methods build trust:
Daily greetings. Speaking to a merchant each day grants +5 Trust. After roughly 20 greetings you reach maximum trust with that NPC.
Completing requests. Side quests commissioned by a specific NPC reward trust increases displayed in a popup after completion.
Giving gifts. Recipes, books, and pouches looted from bandits can be gifted to merchants. Pouches from bandit camps are a renewable source of trust.
Once you reach maximum trust with a merchant, they may sell trade agreements or supply contracts. Using a supply contract from your inventory automatically expands the corresponding shop's stock. For example, the Hernandian Cooking Supply Contract obtained from Dahlia at the Hernand Inn expands Ronnie's camp food shop. Before activation, Ronnie sells only Chewy Rice Cakes and Meat and Vegetable Porridge. Afterward, his inventory adds Pickled Vegetables, Braised Fish, and Pan-Fried Rice Cakes. This centralizes more goods at Greymane Camp, reducing the need to travel back to town.
Hernand City Vendors
The city of Hernand Town contains the largest concentration of vendors in the early game. These shops cluster around the town square and surrounding streets. Most are available as soon as you arrive in the Hernand region during the main story.

Hernand Region Vendors
Beyond the city walls, the broader Hernand region houses specialty vendors at farms, religious sites, trading posts, fishing docks, and remote outposts. Several of these merchants deal in goods that cannot be found at standard city shops.

Ugmon | Goldleaf Guildhouse | East of Hernand | Director of the Goldleaf Merchant Guild. Manages trade goods that can be purchased, packed, and transported by wagon for profit. Unlocked after completing Chapter 2. |
Greymane Camp Vendors
The Greymane Camp near Hernand is the player's home base and primary hub. It starts as a small tent settlement and expands into a full base with multiple vendor NPCs as you invest resources. Camp vendors are convenient because they eliminate the need to ride back to Hernand for basic supplies and services.
Vendor | Service | Specialization |
|---|---|---|
Tranan | Base Camp Equipment Shop | The Greymane blacksmith. Sells weapons, ammunition, and refinement materials. Provides weapon refinement and crafts gear from player-gathered materials. |
Ronnie | Base Camp Food Shop | The Greymane cook. Sells prepared meals and provisions including barley, meat jerky, salt-grilled fish, and fruit juice. Inventory expands when you activate trade agreements from town merchants. |

Barber NPC | Barber Shop | Hairstyle changes, hair and eyebrow color, beard modifications, and face/body tattoos for all three playable characters. Purely cosmetic. |
Black Market and Fence Vendors
The black market operates alongside the legitimate economy. Stolen goods, illegal trade items, and contraband livestock cannot be sold to regular merchants. Instead, you need to find a fence or back-alley dealer. Black market vendors are scattered across Pywel and are often located off the beaten path.
Vendor | Shop Type | Location | Specialization |
|---|---|---|---|
Grimrak | Back Alley Shop | Hernand Farmhouse (southeast of Hernand Town) | Discreet specialty items including masks (10 copper) and keys. His main customers are Hernand's farmers, and he supplies items that cannot be found through legitimate channels. |
Edmond | Livestock Fence | Hernand Farmhouse (opposite Grimrak) | Buys stolen livestock. If you have stolen an animal, you must carry or ride it to Edmond to sell it. Regular vendors will not accept stolen creatures. |
Groks | Goldleaf Black Market | Goldleaf Tradepost (Serkis Estate, south of Hernand) | Veteran guild member handling both legal and black-market trade goods. One of the best early-game options for fencing stolen paintings, vases, and other valuables. |
Prox | Goldleaf Trading Post | Three Saints' Falls | Black-market merchant balancing legitimate and illicit trade at a remote location. |
Serge | Goldleaf Trading Post | Rocca's Hill | Black-market merchant operating at a remote trading post in the hills. |
Goldleaf Trading Posts accept trade items directly for copper and silver. Beyond fencing goods, a Wagon Black Market location north of Unicorn Cliff handles stolen wagons specifically. See the Crime System article for details on stealing, bounties, and paying fines at a confessional.
Goldleaf Trading Posts
After completing Chapter 2 of the main story (defeating Kailok the Hornsplitter), players unlock access to the Goldleaf Trading Post network. These posts buy and sell trade goods for copper and silver. The trading system revolves around buying low at one location and selling high at another.
Royal Trading Post. Located inside major cities, including Hernand. Managed by Bentley. Automatically accepts goods upon arrival.
Goldleaf Guildhouse. Situated south of Unicorn Cliff. Speak with Ugmon, the trading center manager, to initiate transactions. The Guildhouse only buys a minimum of 25 stacks of an item.
Remote Trading Posts. Smaller posts appear at various landmarks across Pywel. Each post has a black-market merchant alongside the legitimate trader.
Trade goods are high-value items with a blue background in your inventory. They include calligraphic paintings, tobacco, red ginseng, and ceramics. Check the map screen's trading post tab and hover over locations to view what each post buys and sells. Watch the value trend indicators to time your sales for maximum profit.
Contribution Shops
Each region in Pywel has its own Contribution system that tracks the good deeds you perform locally. Contribution Points are earned by completing faction quests, finishing requests, clearing bandit camps and strongholds, freeing captives, and giving alms to beggars. Criminal activities reduce your total: stealing costs 5 points per item, assault costs more, and murder carries the heaviest penalty (around 30 points). Importantly, you lose points regardless of whether you are caught.
Each level of Contribution requires 100 points, and you receive 1 Contribution Point to spend per level reached. Contribution is tracked separately by region, so your standing in Hernand does not affect your reputation in Demeniss or Delesyia. Points spent at one region's shop cannot be recovered for use in another.
Hernand Contribution Shop
Managed by Haldwin, the Hernand Contribution Shop is inside Hernand Castle. Head through the door to the right of the main path that leads to the castle to find Haldwin.
Item | Type | Cost (Points) |
|---|---|---|
Bolton Plate Helm | Headgear | 4 |
Bolton Plate Cloak | Cloak | 6 |
Bolton Plate Armor | Body Armor | 7 |
Hernand Ceremonial Guard Armor | Body Armor | 21 |
Hernand Ceremonial Guard Cloak | Cloak | 19 |
Hernand Ceremonial Guard Gloves | Gloves | 15 |
Hernand Ceremonial Guard Boots | Footwear | 14 |
Banners | Decoration | 30 |
Hernand Signet | Accessory | 65 |
Hernand Crown | Headgear | 70 |
The Bolton Plate Set is one of the best early-game armor options. It costs only 17 total points for the full set (Helm, Cloak, and Armor) and can be obtained before tackling the first major story bosses.
Demeniss Contribution Shops
Demeniss has three separate Contribution Shops scattered across the capital:
Castle shop (main). Located on the second floor of the castle. The entrance requires scaling the exterior battlements, as guards will not let you walk in through the front gate.
Cathedral shop. Found in the cathedral in the southeastern part of Demeniss city.
Bank district shop. Located in a building near the Bank in Demeniss.
Item | Type | Cost (Points) |
|---|---|---|
Demeniss Ceremonial Plate Helm | Headgear | 17 |

Demeniss Ring | Accessory | 25 |

Demeniss Signet | Accessory | 65 |
Demeniss Crown | Headgear | 70 |
Delesyia Contribution Shop
The Delesyia Contribution Shop is in a building near the main hall of Delesyia Castle, specifically in the town of Tommaso. You need to wear a Visione just to be allowed on the castle grounds.
Item | Type | Cost (Points) |
|---|---|---|
Helm of Loyal Friendship | Headgear | 17 |
Armor of Loyal Friendship | Body Armor | 23 |
Cloak of Loyal Friendship | Cloak | 19 |
Mortain Chainmail | Body Armor | 23 |
Delesyian Barding | Horse Armor | 23 |
Delesyia Signet | Accessory | 65 |
Delesyia Crown | Headgear | 70 |
Pailune Vendors
The coastal settlement of Pailune is a port town with its own merchants and services. Vendor availability in Pailune may require liberation of the settlement through the story. The Pailune Contribution Shop unlocks after the area is liberated.
Vendor | Shop | Specialization |
|---|---|---|
Big Mara | The Salty Kraken (Tavern) | Tavern keeper who knows everything happening in Pailune. Shares rumors and local intelligence for the price of a drink. |
Pailune also hosts the standard array of vendor types found in other major settlements, including a blacksmith, general goods merchant, and stable. Regional Pailune Contribution Shop rewards include Ceremonial Plate armor sets similar in pricing to the Demeniss shop (17 to 23 points per piece).
Street Vendors
Wandering Street Vendors run stalls at landmarks across southern Pywel, serving the Hernand, Demeniss, and Delesyia regions. They carry rotating stock of consumables and common goods, making them useful rest stops when you are far from a town.
Known Street Vendor locations include:
Bloomwood Ranch
Timberturner Wainwright
Halssius Apothecary
Totesmith Tannery
Boomveld Bombworks
Street Vendor inventory rotates, so the selection changes each time you visit. They do not have a repurchase tab, so be sure about any sale before confirming.
Witch Vendors
Witches are special vendors who become accessible from Chapter 5 onward. They craft and socket Abyss Cores into your gear, sell Abyss Gear blueprints, and provide Faded Abyss Artifacts that serve as skill reset items. To unlock witch vendors, players need to perform acts of kindness, complete specific quests, and explore hidden locations.
Elowen (Witch of Wisdom) operates from the Witch's House in the Hernand region. She offers guidance, Abyss Gear crafting services, and rare materials.
Additional witches appear in other regions as the story progresses. Each witch specializes in different Abyss Core types and crafting recipes.

Tips for Getting the Best Prices
Build trust with every merchant you visit. Daily greetings cost nothing but steadily increase your relationship. After about 20 days of greetings, you reach maximum trust, which can unlock trade agreements and supply contracts.
Activate supply contracts early. Trade agreements from town merchants expand camp vendor inventories, centralizing more goods at Greymane Camp and saving travel time.
Buy Small Bags from every vendor. Multiple merchants sell them (Alden, innkeepers, butchers, and even some less obvious NPCs). They grant one extra inventory slot each and restock at midnight.
Check Contribution Shops before buying gear with silver. The Bolton Plate Set from Haldwin in Hernand Castle costs only 17 total Contribution Points and is one of the strongest early-game armor options. Spending silver on inferior gear when Contribution alternatives exist is wasteful.
Stock up on food before boss fights. Renee's Butchery and Ronnie's Food Shop sell ingredients and prepared meals that fuel cooking recipes with combat buffs.
Buy gathering tools immediately. The Pickaxe and Logging Axe from Alden's Provisioner's Shop unlock mining and logging from the start. These tools pay for themselves quickly through material sales.
Use the repurchase window wisely. You have roughly two to three in-game days to buy back sold items. After that window closes, the items are gone permanently.
Time your trade good sales. Watch the value trend indicators on the trading post map screen. Selling when prices are above market value and buying when they dip below yields the most profit.
Visit Grimrak for masks. Masks from the Back Alley Shop cost only 10 copper and are required for certain stealth activities. They can also be looted from bandits, but buying is faster and more reliable.
Do not neglect remote vendors. NPCs like Grania at the Kharonso Inn and Finley at the Nas River Fishing Dock sell unique recipes and equipment not available in Hernand City.
