Overview
Grimrak is a back-alley merchant NPC found at the Hernand Farmhouse, southeast of the City of Hernand. His main customers are Hernand's simple farmers, whom he discreetly supplies with items that would be mortifying if discovered through regular trade channels. Grimrak doubles as a fence for stolen goods, making his shop a one-stop destination for anyone involved in the Crime System.
Grimrak is one of the earliest black-market vendors players encounter, and his shop is essential for anyone looking to engage with the stealing and crime mechanics in the Hernand region.
Location
Grimrak operates a Back Alley Shop at the Hernand Farmhouse, located southeast of the City of Hernand. To reach him, head east out of Hernand Town past the large model castle on the left, then turn left down the road and follow the track toward the farmhouse buildings near the river. His shop is not marked on the main map by default, so players need to look for it manually. The Equinsher Saddlery and Edmond's Livestock Black Market are located in the same area.
Role in the Crime System
Grimrak plays a central role in the Crime System. He sells Masks for just 10 Copper, which are required equipment before the player can steal anything. Without a Mask equipped, the steal prompt does not appear when approaching items or NPCs.
Beyond selling criminal supplies, Grimrak also buys stolen goods. After pickpocketing coin pouches, lifting artwork from noble estates, or pilfering trade goods, players can sell their haul directly to Grimrak. This makes the Hernand Farmhouse area a convenient loop for early criminal activity: buy a Mask, steal nearby items, then sell the loot right back to Grimrak.
Note that most theft results in a loss of 5 Contribution in the region where the theft occurs, regardless of whether the player is caught. Selling stolen livestock requires a separate Livestock Fence vendor, not Grimrak.
Vendor Inventory
Grimrak stocks a diverse range of items spanning ammunition, food, criminal supplies, equipment, and crafting blueprints. Prices are listed in Copper (c) or Silver (s) coins.

Grimrak's inventory restocks over time, so players can return periodically for ammunition and supplies. The Disguise Cloak and Camouflage Outfit are particularly useful for players who want to reduce the chance of being identified while committing crimes.
Nearby Points of Interest
The Hernand Farmhouse area contains several other points of interest in addition to Grimrak's shop:

Equinsher Saddlery: Sells horse equipment and saddles. Rhett's assistant also works nearby.
The earliest Livestock Fence is located on the eastern road next to Hernand, on the west side of the river.
Tips
Buy a Mask from Grimrak for 10 Copper before attempting any theft. Without one, the steal option will not appear.
