Overview
Royler is one of three legendary horses in Crimson Desert. Known as the Legendary White Horse, Royler stands out for its superior stamina and speed, making it the best legendary horse for extended exploration and long-distance travel across Pywel. While the other legendary horses, Rokade and Camora, specialize in combat durability and offensive power respectively, Royler excels at sustained riding without fatigue.
Royler is widely considered the best legendary horse in Crimson Desert because of its ability to cover vast distances without getting tired. Its speed can be further increased through proper saddles and horse equipment, making it the optimal choice for players who prioritize fast travel and exploration over mounted combat performance.
Location
Royler can be found at the lake by Snowgrass Shelter in Silver Wolf Mountain, Pailune. To reach this location, head south of the 'P' in 'Pailune' on the world map. You will find a lake with the Snowgrass Shelter nearby. Royler roams the lakeshore area and is distinguishable by its bright white coat.
The Pailune region is cold, so wearing appropriate cold-resistant gear before heading to this area is recommended. The cold does not directly affect the taming process, but it drains your stamina faster, which makes the taming attempt more difficult if you are not prepared.
Stats
Royler has the highest stamina among all three legendary horses, along with strong movement speed. These stats make it the ideal mount for long-distance travel. Here are Royler's base stats:
Stat | Value |
|---|---|
Health | 375 |
Stamina | 315 |
Attack | 12 |
Defense | 50 |
Movement Speed | 4 |
Acceleration | 3 |
Handling | 2 |
Jump Power | 2 |
Royler's standout stat is its Stamina at 315, the highest of any legendary horse. This allows Royler to sprint for longer periods before becoming fatigued, reducing the number of rest stops needed during long rides. Combined with a Movement Speed of 4, Royler covers ground faster and for longer than any other horse in the game.
How to Tame Royler
Taming Royler follows the standard horse taming mechanics, but legendary horses are significantly harder to tame than regular wild horses. You need at least 6 Stamina attribute points to have a realistic chance of filling the taming circle before getting thrown off.
The taming process works as follows:
Approach Royler slowly. Sprinting directly at a legendary horse causes it to flee.
Jump onto Royler's back to initiate the taming minigame.
During the minigame, hold the movement stick in the direction of the horse's tail (holding S or back on the controller is the easiest method).
Fill the rope icon before your stamina depletes. If your stamina runs out, you get thrown off and must retry.
Once the taming circle is full, Royler is added to your stable.
Tip: Save your game before attempting to tame Royler. The taming minigame can be punishing, and a failed attempt wastes stamina. Having at least 6 Stamina is the minimum, but 7 or higher makes the process much more forgiving.
Horse Equipment
Like all horses in Crimson Desert, Royler supports four equipment slots that significantly enhance its performance:
Slot | Effect |
|---|---|
Champron | Protects the horse's head and face, increasing defense |
Barding | Covers the body, reducing incoming damage to the horse |
Saddle | Improves handling and stamina efficiency while riding |
Stirrups | Increases rider stability and mounted attack power |
Investing in a high-quality Saddle is especially worthwhile on Royler, as it further amplifies the horse's already excellent stamina efficiency.
Tips
Royler is the best horse for general exploration and fast travel due to its unmatched stamina and speed combination.
Equip the best Saddle you can find to maximize Royler's stamina efficiency. This turns an already long-distance horse into a nearly inexhaustible one.
If you plan to use your horse primarily for mounted combat, consider Camora instead, as it has higher attack and defense stats.
Royler levels up the more you ride it, which further boosts its defense, speed, stamina, and other attributes over time.
You can check Royler's current stats at any time through the horse management menu at a stable.
