Overview
Copper Ore is a metal ore with excellent ductility and malleability. It conducts heat and electricity well, and the extracted copper is used for various purposes such as machinery, tableware, and jewelry. Copper Ore is commonly found in exposed veins on rocks throughout Pywel and is a mid-tier refinement material for equipment upgrades.

Where to Find
Copper Ore veins have a distinct greenish tint, similar to patinated copper. Unlike Iron Ore, they appear in smaller nugget formations rather than large rock faces. Search lower terrain and exposed rocks rather than high cliff faces.
Anvil Hill (southeast of Hernand): Found at the base of the hill, alongside Iron Ore deposits.
Southwest of Glenbright Manor (Hernand Highlands): A convenient early-game location accessible from the road leading southwest from the manor.
South of Goldenfist Arena: Walk along the northern side of the river just southwest of the arena to find accessible copper veins.
Once discovered, copper veins are permanently marked on your map and respawn periodically.
Vendors
Local smithies in major towns carry a small stock of Copper Ore, though quantities are limited. Mining is the primary way to obtain larger amounts, especially for mid- and late-game upgrades.
Uses
Copper Ore is required for refinement upgrades at the smithy, serving the same equipment categories as Iron Ore but at higher upgrade tiers:
Weapons (metallic weapons)
Plate Armor (metal body armor)
Metal Shields (shield upgrades)
Material requirements for each upgrade tier are fixed and cannot be substituted. You will need Copper Ore when your equipment requires materials beyond basic Iron Ore.
Farming Routes
The most efficient way to farm Copper Ore is to run the Howling Hill to Anvil Hill loop. Start at the Howling Hill cliffs along the river-facing walls south of Hernand, then circle the hill base collecting Copper and Iron Ore deposits together. Head east to Anvil Hill's lower edges and riverbed, then extend north along the Unicorn Cliff path through to the quarry for the largest cluster of nodes on the route.
Ore deposits respawn after roughly 7 in-game days. Mine every deposit on your route so they all reset at the same time, allowing consistent harvests on a weekly schedule. Use the time skip function (sleeping at campfires or beds, or the Wait function) to advance time between farming runs.
Additional Vendors
Beyond local smithies, additional vendor sources for Copper Ore include:
The trader at Howling Hills camp stocks 15 Copper Ore.
The NPC at Cairn House (north of Hernand) also sells Copper and Iron Ore.
Tips
Mine Copper Ore whenever you spot it during exploration. Mid-game upgrades require it, and veins are less common than Iron Ore.
Plan ahead for upgrade costs by visiting the smithy to check material requirements before committing to a weapon path.
Use Force Palm to instantly destroy copper deposits if you need to gather quickly.
The Mining Knuckledrill provides a 10% chance (up to 30% when fully refined) to mine additional ore, making it a direct upgrade over the standard pickaxe for farming.
Use the Charged Shot bow skill to break deposits in high-up, hard-to-reach places. The ore drops to the ground for easy collection.
Ore deposits respawn after roughly 7 in-game days. Mine all deposits on a route in a single trip so they reset together.
Island East of Demeniss: Copper and Azerite Farm
A small island located on the very right of the Demeniss label on the world map is one of the highest-density Copper Ore farms in the current build. The same island also produces Azerite, a rare alchemy material used in the upper-tier Aeserion Longsword and sibling Aeserion crafts. Both materials repopulate together every few in-game days, so the island is a fully repeatable two-for-one farming stop.
Why This Farm is Worth a Detour
Two materials in one location: Copper Ore is the steady mid-tier refinement currency you already farm regularly, and Azerite is one of the rarer alchemy ingredients gated behind specific farms. Pulling both from the same island cuts your travel time substantially.
Stable respawn cadence: both ore types repopulate on a multi-day in-game timer. Skip the time forward using a campfire, bed, or the Wait function to reset both at once.
Pairs naturally with the Bismuth Ore farm at Drakefall Castle. If you are already in the area to craft an Aeserion weapon, a single trip can cover Bismuth Ore, Copper Ore, and Azerite without doubling back.
Approach
From the Demeniss Abyss Nexus, head east toward the coast.
Look on the world map for the small island sitting on the very right side of the Demeniss label. The island has no built-up structures, just scattered ore patches across its surface.
Cross the water and land on the island. Sweep the surface for the Copper Ore patches (greenish patina on the rock) and the Azerite nodes.
Use Force Palm or a pickaxe to break each deposit. The Mining Knuckledrill speeds up pickup if you have one.
Mine every visible deposit so they all reset on the same in-game day. This keeps your farming runs synchronized.
Farm Reference
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Location | Small island on the very right (east) of the Demeniss label on the world map |
Materials Produced | Copper Ore and Azerite |
Respawn Cadence | Both materials repopulate every few in-game days |
Recommended Tool | Mining Knuckledrill for auto-pickup; Force Palm works fine if you do not have one |
Synergy | Pairs with the Bismuth Ore farm at Drakefall Castle for a single-trip Aeserion Longsword material run |
Tip: Sync Respawns Across Multiple Farms
Because both this island and the Bismuth Ore patches at Drakefall Castle reset on similar multi-day cadences, hitting both on the same in-game day means they will refresh together. The next time you advance the clock with a campfire, bed, or the Wait function, all three materials (Copper, Azerite, and Bismuth) become available at the same time. This is the recommended approach when stockpiling for Aeserion forging trips.
