This article has been recognized for its exceptional quality and comprehensive coverage.
Blue Beach is a small sandy shore near Hopeland (your home). It is separate from Half-Moon Bay, which is further along the coast where the town shops and docks are. Blue Beach is quieter and more personal: a strip of sand with a pier, stairs leading down to the water, and a direct swimming route to Windflute Island to the southwest.
Blue Beach sits south of your farm, along the coast. You can reach it by walking south from Hopeland. The pier and stairs are visible from the path. Half-Moon Bay (with the AquaBlue Outpost and Starsand Port) is a separate coastal area further along.
Blue Beach is not accessible from the start. You unlock it at the Bright Star rank in the Island Life app. You must have previously purchased access to Cloudrest Lake first. Once unlocked, Blue Beach offers purchasable farm plots for expanding your farming operations beyond Hopeland.
Ocean fishing is available along the Blue Beach coastline. The surrounding waters count as General Ocean, meaning you can catch the standard saltwater species: Clownfish, Butterflyfish, Tiger Puffer, Red Porgy, and others. Weather matters here: Lionfish and Emperor Angelfish only appear during rain, while other species are sunny-day exclusives. Check the Islandpedia for the full ocean fish table.
You can swim directly from Blue Beach southwest to Windflute Island. The swim is short but costs stamina. If you have a speedboat rented from the pier, that works too. Swimming to Windflute Island is the primary reason most players visit Blue Beach before the land expansion becomes relevant.
Shells and coastal plants spawn along the beach. These are basic forageable items useful for early-game crafting and gifting. Nothing rare spawns here, but the pickups are free and require no tools.
After unlocking Blue Beach, you can purchase farm plots here to grow crops outside of Hopeland. This is part of the island's land expansion system. Blue Beach plots must be purchased before Windflute Island plots become available. The extra farmland is useful once your Hopeland fields are fully built out.
Several treasure chests are scattered around Blue Beach:
One on the Blue Beach pier.
One by the stairs leading down to the sand.
One south of the beach, slightly off the main path.
One on the wooden podium on the small island across from the beach (near Windflute Island).
See the treasure chest guide for a full island-wide list.
Blue Beach (and the surrounding coast) hosts the Beach Festival each summer. Preparation runs on Summer 25 and 26, with the festival itself on Summer 27.
Five NPCs ask for crafting materials to set up the festival. Each NPC you help rewards 200 Coins, 15 Starsand Points, 50 Beach Coins, and 20 Affection.

Swim to Windflute Island from Blue Beach for honeycomb and Bumblebees. It is the shortest route.
Fish here on rainy days for high-value rain-exclusive species like Lionfish and Emperor Angelfish.
Stockpile Hardwood Planks, Iron Ingots, Coal, and Bronze before Summer 25 to be ready for the Beach Festival preparation.
Grab the treasure chests on your first visit. They are easy to miss if you walk past the pier without checking.
Blue Beach farm plots are a good investment once your Hopeland fields are maxed out.
