All Furniture List
Furniture in Starsand Island spans hundreds of items, from functional crafting stations and storage chests to purely decorative tables, chairs, beds, lamps, and wall hangings. Furniture comes in themed sets, individual pieces, and seasonal exclusives, and can be obtained through shops, the Gacha Machine, festivals, Drift Bottles, exploration, Island Life milestones, and DLC packs. This guide catalogs every known furniture set, explains where each piece comes from, and covers the Build Mode system used to place and arrange furniture in your home.
Where to Get Furniture
Furniture in Starsand Island comes from seven main sources. Most pieces require a blueprint before you can craft them at a Worktable, though some are sold as finished items ready to place.
Source | Description | Currency |
|---|---|---|
Lex Woodworks | Primary furniture shop in Starsand Town (near the Newsstand). Sells blueprints, finished pieces, decorations, and Glowing Shell Exchange exclusives. Open 8 AM to 10 PM. | Coins, Glowing Shells |
Gacha Machine | Located at Chrono Arcade (Loren's shop). Random furniture drops among crafting materials and exclusive items. 20 tokens per pull. | Arcade Tokens |
Island Life Milestones | Progression rewards tied to the Island Life app. Completing milestones (Home Builder rank, Bright Star rank, etc.) unlocks furniture sets. | Free (progression) |
Drift Bottles | Washed up on beaches around the island. Open them for random furniture blueprints and items. | Free (random) |
Festivals | Seasonal events (Beach Festival, etc.) offer exclusive furniture as event rewards. | Event currency |
Exploration | Treasure chests in the Moonlit Forest and hidden locations across the island occasionally contain furniture blueprints. | Free (looted) |
Profession Quests | Advancing through the Crafter, Farmer, Rancher, and other professions unlocks equipment and decorative blueprints as rewards. | Free (quest reward) |
Lex Woodworks
Lex Woodworks is the primary furniture shop, owned by Alex. It is located down the road from the Newsstand in Starsand Town. The shop stocks four categories of items:
Furniture Blueprints that you purchase, then craft at your Worktable using gathered materials
Finished Furniture that is ready to place immediately without crafting (typically more expensive)
Decorations including wall items, rugs, plants, and accessories
Glowing Shell Exchange section with exclusive items that cannot be purchased with coins, only with Glowing Shells collected from the beach and ocean
The Glowing Shell Exchange stock rotates weekly, so check back regularly for new exclusives. Regular inventory expands as you progress through the game and unlock more blueprints through profession advancement.
Fruit-Themed Furniture Sets (Lex Woodworks)
Lex Woodworks sells several fruit-themed furniture sets that use crop-derived crafting tokens. These sets have a playful, colorful aesthetic:
Set Name | Pieces | Source |
|---|---|---|
Pineapple Set | 6 pieces | Lex Woodworks |
Watermelon Set | 8 pieces | Lex Woodworks |
Winter Melon Set | 7 pieces | Lex Woodworks |
Pumpkin Set | 9 pieces | Lex Woodworks |
These sets are crafted using fruit and crop tokens obtained from your farming activities. Purchase the blueprints from Alex, then craft each piece at your Worktable.
Gacha Machine
The Gacha Machine at Chrono Arcade is a randomized reward system run by Loren. Each pull costs 20 Arcade Tokens and yields a random item, which can include furniture pieces, crafting materials, and exclusive decorations unavailable elsewhere. The color capsule you choose does not affect the contents; all pulls are completely random.
Getting Arcade Tokens
20 free tokens daily from the register at Chrono Arcade. Visit every day to collect.
Buy additional tokens at 10 coins per token from the same register.
Play arcade games for bonus tokens based on high scores.
The Gacha Machine is one of the few sources for certain exclusive furniture items. If you are trying to complete a specific set, you may need to pull many times due to the random nature of the system. Some furniture items obtained from the Gacha Machine cannot be found anywhere else, making daily token collection valuable even if you do not need pulls right away.
All Known Furniture Sets
Starsand Island organizes much of its furniture into themed sets. Each set contains a coordinated collection of items designed to furnish a room or area in a matching style. Below is a catalog of all documented sets and their sources:
Base Game Furniture Sets
Set Name | Pieces | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|
Pineapple Set | 6 | Lex Woodworks (blueprints) |
Watermelon Set | 8 | Lex Woodworks (blueprints) |
Winter Melon Set | 7 | Lex Woodworks (blueprints) |
Pumpkin Set | 9 | Lex Woodworks (blueprints) |
Pinecrest Haven | 12 | Lex Woodworks (blueprints) |
Millennium Eve | 30 | Island Life, Gacha Machine, Lex Woodworks, Exploration, Drift Bottles |
Cloud Mousse | 5 | Exploration, Gacha Machine, Beach Festival |
Remote Work | 6 | Various sources |
Sylvan Home | 50 | Various sources (largest base-game set) |
The Sylvan Home set is the largest furniture collection in the base game at 50 pieces, offering a complete woodland-themed furnishing package. The Millennium Eve set at 30 pieces is the second largest and draws from the widest variety of sources, making it one of the most involved sets to complete. The Cloud Mousse set is the smallest at just 5 pieces, but some of its items are locked behind the Beach Festival event, making it seasonally limited.
DLC Furniture Sets
Two paid DLC packs add additional furniture sets to the game. Both require completing the main story quest "Return to the Cabin in the Woods" before their items become available. Once the quest is complete, visit the Community Center's self-service terminal to claim the DLC reward.
DLC | Set Name | Theme |
|---|---|---|
Classic European DLC | Classical Furniture Set | Castle-inspired luxury with intricate details and a sophisticated color scheme; includes the Pumpkin Carriage vehicle |
Chinese New Year DLC | Traditional Chinese New Year Furniture Set | Ornate latticework, elegant furnishings, and authentic Chinese New Year symbols; includes the Neo-Chinese Outfit |
The Classic European DLC also includes the Pumpkin Carriage, a fairy-tale themed vehicle that functions as a unique form of transportation. The Chinese New Year DLC includes the Neo-Chinese Outfit, a clothing set blending ink-wash landscape aesthetics with festive themes.
Early Access and Supporter Content
Players who purchased the Early Access Supporter Bundle received the Sylvan Cabin furniture set as a bonus. This set features rustic, cabin-themed furnishings that complement the island's natural environment.
Furniture Categories
All furniture and decoration items fall into broad categories within the Build Mode menu. Understanding these categories helps you find specific items quickly:
Category | Examples | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Seating | Chairs, sofas, benches, stools | Functional and decorative; some NPCs sit on placed chairs |
Tables | Dining tables, desks, side tables, coffee tables | Various sizes for different room layouts |
Beds | Single beds, double beds, bunk beds | Required for sleeping in your home; some provide better stamina recovery |
Storage | Storage Boxes (I, II, III), wardrobes, cabinets | Functional; expand your item storage capacity |
Lighting | Lamps, wall lights, ceiling lights, stone lamps | Some outdoor lights (e.g., vintage stone lamps) add nighttime visibility |
Rugs and Carpets | Area rugs, doormats, decorative carpets | Placed on floors for visual accenting |
Wall Decorations | Paintings, shelves, clocks, wall hangings | Attached to walls; some from Gacha Machine exclusives |
Plants | Potted plants, flower arrangements, terrariums | Can use flowers collected from the island; placed indoors or outdoors |

Crafting Stations | Worktable, Furnace, Spinning Wheel, Loom, etc. | Functional items that double as furniture in workshop areas |
Build Mode
All furniture placement in Starsand Island happens through Build Mode, accessed by pressing the C key. Build Mode opens a free-camera view where you can place, move, resize, and remove items within your property boundaries.
How to Place Furniture
Press C to enter Build Mode
Select the decoration/furniture tab from the icons at the bottom of the screen
Choose the item you want to place from your crafted inventory
Position it using the camera and confirm placement
Many building pieces can be resized after placement using the large yellow arrows that appear
There are two types of placeable items. Building pieces (walls, floors, stairs, blocks) consume raw materials when placed and do not need to be pre-crafted. Decorative items and furniture must be crafted at a Worktable beforehand and placed from your inventory.
Moving and Removing Furniture
To move or remove placed furniture:
Press C to enter Build Mode
Click on the placed item
Select the remove option from the popup menu
The item returns to your inventory with no material loss
Place it again in a new position, or store it in a chest
This system applies to both decorative items and functional crafting stations. You can freely rearrange your entire home layout without any cost or penalty.
Wall Painting
In addition to placing furniture, Build Mode allows you to paint walls and floors with different colors and textures. Painting uses the same Build Mode interface but operates through a paint tool rather than item placement. This is useful for creating distinct room themes; for example, painting a kitchen in a warm tone and a bedroom in a cool tone before placing matching furniture.
Properties and Land Expansion
Furniture can be placed in any property you own. The game features four build areas:
Property | Location | How to Unlock |
|---|---|---|
Hopeland | Your main farm | Available from the start; expandable via land purchases |
Cloudrest Lake | Lakeside property | Home Builder rank (6 land expansions at Hopeland) |
Blue Beach | Beachfront property | Bright Star rank in Island Life |
Windflute Island | Island property | Starsand Legend rank in Island Life |
Hopeland is expandable through land purchases that unlock as you reach Junior level in any profession and complete 5 Community Center bulletin board requests. Each expansion costs progressively more coins and Starsand:
Expansion | Cost |
|---|---|
Upgrade 1 | 2,000 coins + 50 Starsand |
Upgrade 2 | 15,000 coins + 75 Starsand |
Upgrade 3+ | Progressively increasing up to 160,000 coins + 300 Starsand |
The additional properties (Cloudrest Lake, Blue Beach, Windflute Island) are late-game rewards that provide entirely new land plots to build on. Cloudrest Lake, the first extra property, costs 6,000,000 coins and 750 Starsand for the initial purchase, making it a major long-term investment.
Crafting Furniture
Most furniture is crafted at one of three Worktable tiers:
Worktable | Unlock | Furniture Tier |
|---|---|---|
Worktable I | Available from the start | Basic furniture, starting crafting stations, simple decorations |
Worktable II | Junior Crafter certification with Zerine | Mid-tier furniture, upgraded stations, themed set pieces |
Worktable III | Senior Crafter certification | Advanced furniture, luxury items, high-tier crafting stations |
The Crafter profession under Zerine is the primary path for unlocking furniture crafting capabilities. Each Crafter tier grants access to more complex blueprints and higher-quality materials. Furniture crafting is instant (unlike material processing, which takes time), so once you have the materials, the item appears in your inventory immediately.
Common Crafting Materials
Furniture recipes draw from a wide pool of materials. The most commonly used include:
Material | Source | Common Uses |
|---|---|---|
Softwood | Chopping trees | Wooden furniture, tables, chairs, shelves |
Softwood Plank | Crafted from Softwood at Worktable | Most wooden furniture blueprints |
Hardwood | Chopping mature/special trees | High-quality furniture |
Hardwood Plank | Crafted from Hardwood | Premium wooden pieces |
Stone | Mining rocks | Stone furniture, outdoor items |
Iron Ingot | Smelting Iron Ore in Furnace | Metal furniture, fixtures, lamps |
Fabric (various) | Loom (from wool/fur) | Upholstered furniture, cushions, rugs |
Leather | Loom (from cow fur) | Chair seats, decorative items |
Glass | Smelting sand in Furnace | Windows, display cases, lamps |
Fabric is particularly important for furniture crafting because many items require colored fabric for upholstery. The textile crafting chain (Spinning Wheel, Loom, Sewing Table) produces the fabric varieties needed for these recipes. Starting your ranching activities early ensures a steady supply of wool and fur for the Loom.
Decorating Tips
Plan your room layout first. Use wall painting to mark room boundaries before placing furniture. This helps you visualize the space and avoid cluttered arrangements.
Leave breathing room. A common mistake is filling every open space with furniture. The modern design principle in Starsand Island favors open areas that let the architecture shine. Three or four well-placed pieces look better than a dozen crammed together.
Match sets within rooms. Each furniture set has a consistent visual theme. Mixing pieces from different sets in the same room can look chaotic. Pick one set per room for a cohesive look.
Use lighting strategically. Place lamps and wall lights near functional areas (desks, kitchen counters) and in dark corners. Outdoor stone lamps along pathways and patio edges provide nighttime visibility and atmosphere.
Visit the Gacha Machine daily. Collect your 20 free tokens every day from Chrono Arcade. Even if you do not need furniture immediately, stockpiling tokens lets you do bulk pulls later when hunting for specific items.
Check Drift Bottles. Walk the beaches regularly and open any Drift Bottles you find. They occasionally contain furniture blueprints that are difficult to obtain elsewhere.
Use outdoor areas. Do not neglect your yard and patio. Benches, planters, fences, and stone lamps transform the area around your house into an inviting space. Potted plants can use flowers you have collected during exploration.
Experiment freely. Removing furniture returns it to your inventory with no material cost, so there is no penalty for trying different arrangements. Rearrange as often as you like until you find a layout you enjoy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pick up furniture I already placed?
Press C to enter Build Mode, click on the placed item, and select the remove option. The item returns to your inventory intact, with no loss of materials. You can then reposition it or store it in a chest.
Can I place furniture outdoors?
Yes. Many items can be placed both indoors and outdoors. The Build Mode menu includes categories specifically for outdoor items like fences, benches, pillars, and garden decorations. Outdoor stone lamps are particularly useful for lighting pathways at night.
Are crafting stations considered furniture?
Yes. Crafting stations like the Worktable, Furnace, Spinning Wheel, Loom, and Ammo Maker are all placed through Build Mode and can be moved or removed just like decorative furniture. They function as both practical tools and room furnishings.
What are Glowing Shells and where do I find them?
Glowing Shells are a special currency found on beaches and in the ocean. They are used exclusively at Lex Woodworks' Glowing Shell Exchange for furniture items that cannot be purchased with regular coins. The exchange stock rotates weekly.
Do I need to complete the story to access DLC furniture?
Yes. Both the Classic European and Chinese New Year DLC furniture sets require completing the main story quest "Return to the Cabin in the Woods." After that, visit the Community Center's self-service terminal to claim the DLC reward.
Can I place furniture at other properties besides my main farm?
Yes. Once you unlock additional properties (Cloudrest Lake, Blue Beach, Windflute Island) through Island Life milestones, you can decorate them independently. Each property has its own build area with separate land expansion options.
Is there a furniture limit per property?
The game does have placement limits per property to maintain performance, but the cap is generous enough that most players will not hit it during normal play. If you are building very large, densely decorated homes, you may eventually reach the limit on a single property.
