Overview
Paldean Wooper is a Poison/Ground-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia (Dex #117). Found in the Bleak Beach region, Paldean Wooper teaches Ditto the Suck Up Liquids move, which is the primary tool for manipulating water sources throughout the world. It also has the Litter specialty, which causes it to drop useful crafting materials near its home. Clodsire also shares the Marshy Tall Grass habitat.
Habitat
Paldean Wooper lives in the Marshy Tall Grass habitat. This habitat combines tall grass with muddy water:
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Yellow Tall Grass | 4 | Found naturally in Bleak Beach's marshy areas |
Muddy Water | 2 tiles | Located near waterfalls and swampy spots in Bleak Beach |
Location
Paldean Wooper is found near the muddy waterfall along the main mountain area of Bleak Beach. You can also spawn Paldean Wooper by using the Leafage move around the waterfall area to grow yellow tall grass and establish the Marshy Tall Grass habitat.
How to Befriend
After building the Marshy Tall Grass habitat, Paldean Wooper will spawn within a short time. Speak to it and it will ask you to deliver three Tomatoes. You can find tomatoes at the small crop farm near the houses in Bleak Beach's northern water area. Water the vines with Water Gun and harvest the red tomatoes (each vine produces three). Hand over the tomatoes to learn Suck Up Liquids.
Move Taught: Suck Up Liquids
Paldean Wooper teaches Ditto the Suck Up Liquids move. This move lets you collect and redistribute liquids throughout the game world. To use it, hold Y and press ZR while standing in a liquid source. Ditto absorbs the liquid, which can then be placed elsewhere by pressing A.
Suck Up Liquids works on multiple liquid types:
Liquid Type | Source Location |
|---|---|
Rivers, ponds, rain collection | |
Ocean Water | Coastlines and beaches |
Muddy Water | Swamps and marshy areas |
Hot-Spring Water | Volcanic and thermal areas |
Lava | Underground volcanic zones |
This move is critical for water management, creating artificial ponds and rivers, building waterfalls, and establishing water-based habitats.
Specialty: Litter
Paldean Wooper has the Litter specialty. Pokemon with this specialty will sometimes drop useful crafting items near their home. The items Paldean Wooper drops can include materials used for building and crafting, providing a passive source of supplies.

Tips
Grow tomatoes in advance so you can befriend Paldean Wooper immediately when you reach Bleak Beach. Each tomato vine produces three tomatoes, so a single vine is enough.
Suck Up Liquids combined with Surf gives you complete control over water in your world. Suck water from one place and deposit it on a cliff to create a waterfall.
Paldean Wooper's Litter specialty provides free crafting materials over time. Check around its habitat regularly for dropped items.
Place dirt, stone, and humid items near the habitat to increase Paldean Wooper's Comfort Level.
