Overview
Gold Ore is a premium mineable material in Pokemon Pokopia found in the mines of Rocky Ridges. It is the rarest of the three standard ores (Copper, Iron, Gold) and is smelted into Gold Ingots for use in high-end crafting recipes and decorative items.
How to Obtain
Method | Details |
|---|---|
Mining | Break down Gold ore blocks in the Rocky Ridges mines using Rock Smash |
Gold ore blocks have a distinctive golden shimmer. They are less common than Copper or Iron ore blocks and tend to appear deeper in the cave systems of Rocky Ridges. Some Gold ore blocks require a powered-up Rock Smash (via Hamburger Steak) to break.
Smelting
Gold Ore is smelted into Gold Ingots at a Smelting Furnace operated by a Pokemon with the Burn specialty.

Tips
Gold Ore is scarce, so prioritize which recipes to use Gold Ingots for. High-value decorative items and certain quest-related crafts require Gold Ingots. Mine the deeper sections of Rocky Ridges caves for the best Gold Ore yields. Since Gold has no recycling alternative (unlike Iron Ore), mining is the only source.
