Overview
Tangela is a Grass-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Vine Pokemon (Dex #040). Tangela is found in the Withered Wasteland at the Nothin' but Poke Balls habitat. It carries the Grow and Litter specialties, making it useful for both accelerating plant growth and producing Vine Rope as a passive resource. Tangela is the pre-evolution form of Tangrowth in the main series, though there is no evolution mechanic in Pokopia. Professor Tangrowth, the game's main guide, was once a Tangela before evolving.

Tangela is the only Pokemon that spawns at this habitat, appearing as a Common visitor. Place all four Poke Ball furniture pieces near each other and wait for the habitat to activate.
Location
Tangela appears in Withered Wasteland. The Poke Ball furniture recipes become available after progressing through the early story and unlocking additional crafting options. Tangela is available at all times of day and in all weather conditions.
How to Befriend
Build the Nothin' but Poke Balls habitat by placing a Poke Ball Sofa, Poke Ball Bed, Poke Ball Table, and Poke Ball Light near each other. After a short wait, Tangela will appear at the habitat. Walk up and interact with Tangela to befriend it.
Specialties
Grow
Tangela has the Grow specialty. Pokemon with this specialty accelerate nearby plant growth. Place Tangela near crops, flowers, or tall grass patches, and it will speed up their growth rate during its free time. Grow is one of the most useful specialties for farming and landscaping.
Litter
Tangela also has the Litter specialty. As Tangela walks around, it drops Vine Rope as a resource. Vine Rope is a useful crafting material. Litter Pokemon passively produce items as they move through the world, so having Tangela as a follower or stationed in a busy area generates a steady supply of Vine Rope.

Lore
In the backstory of Pokemon Pokopia, Professor Tangrowth was once a Tangela living with a human Pokemon Professor in the Kanto region. Before the humans disappeared, Tangela developed a fascination with human tools and technology. After everyone evacuated, Tangela eventually evolved into Tangrowth and became the sole caretaker of the withered world. Professor Tangrowth still wears the broken glasses from his former human companion.
