Overview
Chansey (Pokedex #101, Egg Pokemon) is a Normal-type Pokemon known throughout the Pokemon series for its healing abilities. How to Befriend Chansey
Full Recovery Habitat
Chansey is attracted by building the Full Recovery habitat. The habitat provides a restful, medically-themed recovery space. Required items:
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Plain Chest | 1 | Crafted at Workbench using 5 Lumber |
First Aid Kit | 1 | Crafted at Workbench |
Bed (any) | 1 | Any bed variant works |
The Full Recovery habitat must meet Bright environment requirements. Add lighting and bright-themed decorations to ensure the comfort tier is met. Note that the Full Recovery habitat can also occasionally attract Peakychu as a secondary spawn (Rare rarity), making it valuable beyond just Chansey.
Where to Find
Chansey spawns in every region and on Cloud Islands:

Trade Specialty
Chansey staffs Cash Register shops, allowing barter trades for materials and items. Place Chansey at a Cash Register and assign it to a habitat near your trading hub. Other Trade-specialty Pokemon include Slowbro, Hoothoot, Noctowl, Zorua, Snorlax, Audino, and many more.
PP Restoration Note
Chansey is famous in mainline Pokemon games for healing other Pokemon. In Pokopia, Chansey does NOT provide passive PP regeneration. Ditto's PP is restored through other methods:
Resting on Relaxation furniture (beds, chairs)
Eating Leppa Berries and other berries
Eating cooked food
Healing Machine at any Pokemon Center (free, once per day)
PP Up items from the PC Shop (300 Life Coins)
Evolution Family
Happiny (#100) - pre-evolution; Trade specialty
Chansey (#101) - this Pokemon; Trade specialty
Blissey (#102) - post-evolution; Trade specialty
Tips
Build the Full Recovery habitat as a multi-purpose location. It attracts Chansey reliably and has a chance to bring in Peakychu, doubling its value.
Place bright, colorful decorations around the habitat to maximize Bright comfort tier and Chansey's preferences for Soft, Fabric, and Healing items.
Sweet-flavored cooked food (Sweet Bread, Sweet Soup) raises Chansey's comfort level. Stockpile while befriending it.
Chansey at a Cash Register provides a rotating barter inventory. Different Trade Pokemon have different inventory pools, so multiple Trade Pokemon working in parallel maximize options.
