Overview
Vending machines in Pokemon Pokopia dispense drinks that serve a dual purpose: they can be consumed for flavor effects, and they fill Ditto's mouth with a specific liquid type that can be spat out to create water sources, hot springs, lava, and other liquids. Each powered vending machine dispenses one random drink per day. Vending machines require electricity to operate.
All Drinks
Drink | Liquid Created | Flavor | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
Fresh Water | Regular water | Bland | Delicious water perfect for making soup. Spit it out to make things wet. |
Soda Pop | Seawater | Dry | Fizzy, sparkling soda. Spit it out and it becomes seawater. |
Moomoo Milk Coffee | Muddy water | Sweet | Milky coffee with a sweet taste. Spit it out and it becomes muddy water. |
Roserade Tea | Hot-spring water | Bitter | Tea with a delicate aroma. Spit it out and it becomes a hot spring. |
Chili Sauce | Lava | Spicy | Sauce with an enticingly spicy flavor. Spit it out and it becomes lava. |
How to Use
Find a powered vending machine (see Locations below).
Interact with it to receive one random drink.
The drink fills Ditto's mouth with the corresponding liquid type.
Travel to the desired placement location (must be within the same biome).
Press A to spit out the liquid, creating a new liquid source on the ground.
Each vending machine dispenses one random drink per day. The selection resets at the daily turnover (5:00 AM local time). If you do not get the drink you want, try again the next day or use a different vending machine.
Locations
Area | Machines | Nearby Power Source |
|---|---|---|
2 (northern area) | Windmill nearby; connect via Utility Poles | |
2 (near waterwheels) |
Power Requirements
Vending machines must be connected to an electricity source to function. Three methods:
Utility Poles: Build a line of poles from a power generator (windmill, waterwheel, or furnace) to the vending machine.
Generate specialty: Have a Pokemon with the Generate specialty (Elekid, Electabuzz, Pichu, Pawmo, etc.) near the machine to temporarily power it.
Wireless Power Transmitter: Late-game option for powering machines without physical pole connections.
Practical Uses
Drink | Best Use |
|---|---|
Fresh Water | Creating pools, ponds, and rivers for habitats and waterwheels |
Soda Pop | Creating seawater areas for ocean-themed habitats |
Moomoo Milk Coffee | Creating muddy terrain for mud-themed habitats |
Roserade Tea | Creating hot springs anywhere (essential for Hot-Spring Shower habitat and attracting Psyduck) |
Chili Sauce | Creating lava for volcanic habitats. Combine with Water Gun to turn lava into solid walkable blocks for bridges. |
Mosslax Offerings
Vending machine drinks can be offered to Mosslax at the Gourmet's Offering altar. The drink's flavor determines the buff granted (see Cooking for the full flavor-to-buff table). Cooked food has stronger effects than raw drinks, but vending machine drinks work in a pinch.
Tips
Power up vending machines early in Withered Wasteland. The nearby windmill makes this straightforward with a few Utility Poles.
Roserade Tea is the most sought-after drink for creating hot springs outside Rocky Ridges. Visit vending machines daily until you get one.
Chili Sauce lava combined with Water Gun is a creative building technique. Spit lava on a gap, hit it with Water Gun to solidify, and you have a custom bridge.
With 4 total vending machines across two areas, you can collect up to 4 drinks per day by visiting all of them.
Remember the same-biome restriction: liquid from a Withered Wasteland vending machine can only be placed in Withered Wasteland.
