Overview
Pokemetal is a special material found in Pokemon Pokopia, used primarily for advanced crafting recipes and late-game construction. It is rarer than standard ores like Iron and Copper and is found primarily in Sparkling Skylands. There is also Rare Pokemetal, an even scarcer variant needed for crafting items related to Legendary Pokemon.
Where to Find Pokemetal
Pokemetal deposits are located exclusively in Sparkling Skylands. Known deposit locations include:
Next to the waterfall on the Pokemon Center island in Sparkling Skylands
Behind Tinkmaster's tower, near another waterfall
Various locations on floating islands throughout the area
Like other ores, Pokemetal blocks require a powered-up Rock Smash (boosted by eating Hamburger Steak) to break. Players should stock up on food before mining runs in Sparkling Skylands.

Rare Pokemetal
Rare Pokemetal is an upgraded version of Pokemetal that is significantly harder to obtain. It can be produced by Porygon2, which has the Rarify specialty. Porygon2 converts Star Pieces into Rare Pokemetal, though this process is expensive. Rare Pokemetal is required for crafting the Tidal Bell and Clear Bell used to summon Lugia and Ho-Oh respectively.
Tips
Pokemetal respawns over time, so revisit the same locations periodically.
Always bring Hamburger Steak when mining in Sparkling Skylands to break Pokemetal deposits.
Save Rare Pokemetal for the Tidal Bell and Clear Bell crafting recipes, as these are the primary uses.
If you have Porygon2, keep a supply of Star Pieces ready for conversion to Rare Pokemetal.
