1 revisionsRadiant Crystal is a refined crystal component in Starsand Island, produced at the Gear Smith from Fluorite-based Radiant Core. It is one of the earliest crystal components players craft, gating the Junior-tier Impact Axe and Impact Hammer and feeding into the Senior-tier Solid-State Battery used in mechanical-power recipes.
Step | Recipe | Station |
|---|---|---|
1. Smelt Fluorite | 4 Fluorite + 1 Charcoal -> Radiant Core | |
2. Refine | Radiant Core -> 1 Radiant Crystal |
The Gear Smith is unlocked at Intermediate Crafter and is the dedicated station for mechanical components and refined crystals. It runs passively like the Cutter, so multiple stations can run in parallel for large batches.
Impact Axe (2 Radiant Crystal). The Junior axe upgrade uses 2 Radiant Crystals.
Impact Hammer (2 Radiant Crystal). The Junior pickaxe upgrade uses 2 Radiant Crystals.
Solid-State Battery (1 Radiant Crystal). The Senior-tier power component requires 1 Radiant Crystal alongside 2 Tin Ingots and 1 Iron Sheet.
Other tool recipes. Several mid-tier tools and equipment items list Radiant Crystals among their materials.
Stockpile Fluorite first. Each Radiant Crystal traces back to 4 Fluorite. Plan an early Moonlit Forest run dedicated to Fluorite before chasing the Junior tool upgrades.
Build the Gear Smith promptly. Without it, Radiant Cores cannot be refined into crystals. The Intermediate Crafter unlock for the Gear Smith is one of the bigger mid-game power spikes.
Pair with Cutter and Furnace queues. Smelt Fluorite into Radiant Core in batches of 4, then send the cores into the Gear Smith. Running both stations in parallel keeps tool upgrades flowing.
