Delphin

Overview

Delphin is the Fishing Mentor and runs the AquaBlue Outpost on the pier at Half-Moon Bay. He is a former professional surfer from a noble family who left an unhealthy home life to live with his aunt on Starsand Island. As a child, he became close friends with the player before the player left the island. He is eager to reconnect when you return.

Delphin is one of 15 romanceable characters and one of two childhood romance options alongside Solara. He also maintains the island's deep-sea observatory, where players can watch fish and whales in their natural habitat.

Note: This character was originally named Francis in pre-release materials and some trailers used the spelling Delfin. The Early Access build uses the name Delphin. Some older guides still reference him as Francis.

Personality

Delphin is passionate about everything related to the ocean; fishing, surfing, and diving are part of his daily routine. He is honest, direct, and never beats around the bush. Beneath his laid-back surfer exterior, he is fiercely loyal and protective of the people he cares about. He is patient and friendly, making him one of the most approachable characters on the island.

Where to Find Delphin

Delphin can usually be found at the AquaBlue Outpost on the pier at Half-Moon Bay. He often lifts weights outside the shop entrance. If he is not out front, head inside and take the elevator down to the ocean observatory below the store. His home is on the pier opposite the AquaBlue Outpost, but you need at least 3 hearts before you can enter.

Daily Schedule

• 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM: At the AquaBlue Outpost counter or nearby on the docks

• Sometimes found out front lifting weights

• Sometimes in the ocean observatory below the shop (take the elevator down)

• During the Beach Festival (Summer 25 to 27): at the beach helping with festival preparation

How to Track Delphin

Once you have interacted with Delphin, his contact appears in your phone's Social app. Use Locate to see his current position on the map and draw a route. Use Follow to track his movements in real time with a flag that moves with him.

Shop Inventory

Delphin's shop at the AquaBlue Outpost sells fishing rod blueprints, aquarium blueprints, chopper station blueprints, and bait. New items unlock as you advance through the Angler profession tiers.

Angler Profession Quests

Delphin mentors the Angler profession from Apprentice through Expert. Each tier has a certification trial.

Apprentice Angler

Visit Delphin at the AquaBlue Outpost. He gives you a Wooden Rod and asks you to catch 3 fish of any type. Return with the fish to earn the Apprentice certificate. This also unlocks the Workpedia app for Starsand Point skill upgrades.

Junior Angler

Requires the Starsand Port to be completed first (15 Stone + 15 Softwood donated to Marston). You must also acquire a personal watercraft. The cheapest option is the Bamboo Raft (blueprint from Neona at G-Power Bike for 400 Coins). Travel to Luminwave via the Parrot Ship and catch 10 fish (some are auto-collected during sailing). Deliver the fish to Zerine at the General Store, then return to Delphin.

Intermediate Angler

Purchase blueprints for a Small Fish Pond and Chopper II from the AquaBlue Outpost. Learn fish breeding mechanics using an incubator.

Senior Angler

Capture 20 types of fish and submit them to an aquarium (3 specimens of each). Click the Submit button at the bottom of the aquarium menu to complete the trial. Note that some fish are season-exclusive, so this quest can take a while if you miss a season. Unlocks the Titanium Rod blueprint.

Expert Angler

The highest Angler tier. Specific requirements are not fully documented in the current Early Access build. Unlocks the Cube Aquarium (XL) blueprint.

Romance

Delphin is one of 7 bachelor romance options. His romance arc plays on the childhood-friends-to-lovers dynamic. Romance is available regardless of player gender. Build affection through daily conversations (+5 points), liked gifts (+10), loved gifts (+15), and completing his quests (+50).

At Heart Level 3 (370 points), you gain access to his house. His bedroom is above his home (stairs at the back of the building) and contains a treasure chest with exclusive decor.

At Heart Level 5 (750 points), you can ask him to move in with you. He will then help around the farm at Hopeland, clearing debris, tending animals, and watering plants.
