Gust and Ginger

Overview

Gust and Ginger are crossover characters from Pathea Games' My Time at Portia. They are available from the start of the game and can be found at Starsand Station when the player first arrives on the island. Both are permanent residents of Starsand Island and can be interacted with daily, given gifts, and befriended through the relationship system.

They are part of a collaboration between Seed Sparkle Lab and Pathea Games. A second pair of crossover characters, Fang and Nia from My Time at Sandrock, arrive later in the game on the first day of Autumn.

Gust

In My Time at Portia, Gust is a talented architect and the son of the town mayor. He is known for his aloof personality, sharp tongue, and hidden romantic side. On Starsand Island, he lives across the street from Bloom Atelier (Serena's beauty salon), in the northeastern part of town.

Gust retains his reserved personality from Portia. He can be found sketching in town, visiting shops, or walking near the waterfront during the day.

Ginger

Ginger is Gust's sister. In My Time at Portia, she suffers from a chronic illness and is one of the most beloved characters. On Starsand Island, she appears in good health and lives at Unit 308, located due south of the town square.

Ginger is gentle, kind, and quietly curious about island life. She can often be found near gardens or the town plaza during the day.

Romance status

Gust and Ginger are not romanceable. Their affection cap is 4 hearts, compared to 5 hearts for the 15 romanceable characters. You can still give them daily gifts and build friendship, but the relationship does not progress beyond close friendship.

Both characters are voiced by their original My Time at Portia voice actors:

The returning cast is a deliberate nod to Portia fans, and both actors recorded new dialogue specific to Starsand Island.

Crossover bundle

Starsand Island is available as part of the "My Time at Starsand Island" bundle on Steam, which includes My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock, and Starsand Island at a combined discount. The bundle highlights the shared universe between the Pathea and Seed Sparkle Lab titles.

Other crossover characters

Fang and Nia from My Time at Sandrock arrive on the first day of Autumn, after the train line to Starsand Station has been repaired. Unlike Gust and Ginger, they must be found proactively at the station, they do not appear in a cutscene.
