Overview
The Parrot Ship is a named ferry docked at Starsand Port in Half-Moon Bay. It is your primary way to reach the three deep-sea fishing zones (Coral Sea, Luminwave, and Celestwave). The ship shows up on your map labeled as "Parrot" once the port is built.
Unlocking Starsand Port
The port starts as a run-down dock. To rebuild it:
Find Marston at the derelict port in Half-Moon Bay.
Accept the Starsand Port Construction quest.
Deliver 15 Stone and 15 Softwood.
Wait one in-game day. The port rebuilds overnight.
Return the next morning to find the Parrot Ship, yacht rentals, and the Merchant Ship all available.
Both Stone and Softwood are basic resources you have been collecting since the first hour of gameplay, so this quest is straightforward. The only barrier is reaching Half-Moon Bay and meeting Marston.
How the Parrot Ship works
Walk to the dock at Starsand Port and interact with the Parrot Ship. Speak to the captain and choose one of three destinations:

After sailing to your destination, press F to leave the captain's wheel and start fishing. You fish directly from the ship's deck in the open ocean.
Connection to the Angler profession
The Parrot Ship is directly tied to the Angler profession progression. The Junior Angler trial requires you to:
Complete the Starsand Port Construction quest (prerequisite).
Prepare Meat Bait at the Chopper station.
Sail to Luminwave via the Parrot Ship.
Catch 10 fish (some are auto-collected while sailing, the rest you fish manually).
Deliver the fish to Zerine at the General Store.
Return to Delphin at the AquaBlue Outpost to complete the trial.
Note that owning a personal watercraft (Bamboo Raft, Sailboard, or Speedboat) is a separate requirement from using the Parrot Ship. The trial asks you to "acquire a boat," and the Parrot Ship alone does not satisfy that step.
Other Starsand Port services
Rebuilding the port also unlocks these additional services alongside the Parrot Ship:

Tips
Complete the port construction quest early. The 15 Stone and 15 Softwood cost is trivial, and the port unlocks a lot of content.
Craft bait before boarding. You cannot use crafting stations while at sea.
Bring food for stamina recovery. Deep-sea fishing burns 10 stamina per catch.
Visit the Merchant Ship every Monday for refreshed stock. It sometimes carries rare items not available in mainland shops.
The Speedboat Rental is useful for general ocean exploration beyond the three fishing zones.
