Overview
Fang and Nia are crossover characters from Pathea Games' My Time at Sandrock. They arrive on Starsand Island on the first day of Autumn, after the train line to Starsand Station has been repaired. Unlike Gust and Ginger, who are available from the start of the game, Fang and Nia must be found proactively. They do not appear in a cutscene when they arrive.

Both characters originate from the desert town of Sandrock. In My Time at Sandrock, Fang is a Civil Corps fighter and Nia is a researcher at the local museum. Their appearance on Starsand Island is part of the collaboration between Seed Sparkle Lab and Pathea Games, the same partnership that brought Gust and Ginger to the island.
How to find them
On the first day of Autumn (Fall 1), head to Starsand Station. Fang and Nia arrive by train but will not seek you out. You need to go to the station yourself and talk to them. If you miss them on the first day, they will still be on the island. Check the station area or wander around town.
The train line only becomes operational after you complete the main quest to repair Starsand Station. If you have not reached that point by Autumn, the crossover characters will arrive once the station is open.
Fang
Fang is a skilled fighter from the Civil Corps of Sandrock. He carries a large sword and has a serious, no-nonsense attitude. In Sandrock, he is known for being blunt, reliable in combat, and surprisingly thoughtful in quiet moments. On Starsand Island, he retains his stoic personality but seems curious about the island's peaceful lifestyle.
Players who romanced Fang in My Time at Sandrock will recognize his gruff charm. He can be found around town after his arrival, often near open spaces or the waterfront.
Nia
Nia is a researcher and museum curator from Sandrock. She is cheerful, inquisitive, and fascinated by the natural world. On Starsand Island, she takes an interest in the island's unique ecosystem and can often be found near gardens, the beach, or exploring the town.
Her personality contrasts with Fang's, where he is reserved and direct, Nia is warm and talkative. Together they represent the adventurous and scholarly sides of Sandrock life.
Interaction and gifts
Fang and Nia function as regular NPCs on the island. You can talk to them daily, give them gifts, and build affection. They are not romanceable unlike Gust and Ginger, they are visitors rather than permanent residents. Their gift preferences reflect their Sandrock backgrounds.
Crossover bundle
Starsand Island is available as part of the "My Time at Starsand Island" bundle on Steam, which includes My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock, and Starsand Island at a combined discount. The bundle highlights the shared universe between Pathea Games and Seed Sparkle Lab's titles.
