inZOI entered Early Access on March 28, 2025 as a Steam exclusive. Developed by inZOI Studio and published by KRAFTON, the game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and positions itself as a next-generation life simulation. Since launch, the development team has shipped major content updates roughly every six to eight weeks, with smaller hotfixes in between. Director Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim communicates upcoming plans through regular developer updates and the official 2026 Roadmap.
As of May 17, 2026, the live build is v0.8.5, released on May 15, 2026. Each major version introduces a headline feature, whether that is a new world, a business system, or a seasonal event, alongside dozens of smaller additions and quality-of-life improvements. This page lists every release in chronological order. For full patch notes, follow the links to the individual update articles.

Since Early Access launch, the team has maintained a predictable release rhythm. Major versions (0.x.0) arrive every six to eight weeks and typically center on a single headline system or world. Smaller hotfix patches (0.x.1 through 0.x.5) land between majors, addressing bugs and occasionally slipping in minor features.
Director Kjun and the community team post developer letters before each major release, outlining goals and soliciting feedback through the official Discord server and Steam forums. The April 17 and April 24 community letters formally realigned expectations for 2026: full 1.0 launch is now targeted for early 2027, the PlayStation 5 release is treated as a parallel priority alongside 1.0, and the May 2026 patch will not be a major content release. See 2026 Roadmap for the realigned plan and PlayStation 5 Version for the platform timeline.
Every inZOI update auto-disables all installed mods on patch day. Players must re-enable mods through the in-game mod manager after each update. KRAFTON has confirmed this is permanent policy: incompatibilities surface explicitly rather than as silent crashes. The official ModKit supports custom meshes, textures, animations, accessories, and face presets, with Lua scripting support targeted for December 2026.
