Overview
Bicycles are a confirmed upcoming vehicle type in inZOI. As of March 2026, bicycles are not yet rideable in the game, but development has officially begun. Director and Producer Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim announced on January 30, 2026 that "development is beginning on bicycle riding," and the 2026 roadmap lists bicycles under planned transportation additions. Bicycle and scooter rental kiosks already exist as non-functional props throughout Dowon and Bliss Bay, indicating the infrastructure for bicycle gameplay was designed from the early stages of development.
Current Status
Bicycles cannot be ridden, rented, or purchased in the Early Access build. The Dream Car app on the smartphone currently lists only cars, motorcycles, mopeds, and electric scooters. Players will see bicycle rental kiosks placed around both cities, but interacting with them produces no result.
Existing Vehicle Types
For context, the following vehicle categories are already available through the Dream Car app:
Category | Examples | Added In |
|---|---|---|
Cars (Generic) | Z-Car (10,000 Meow), Sedan (30,000), SUV (55,000), Pickup Truck (40,000) | Launch (v0.1.0) |
Cars (Hyundai) | Casper (14,600), Grandeur (37,110), IONIQ 5 (47,000) | Launch (v0.1.0) |
Developer-created models only | v0.3.0 (Aug 2025) | |
Mopeds | Multiple models | v0.3.0 (Aug 2025) |
Electric Scooters | Multiple models | v0.3.0 (Aug 2025) |
Bicycles | Not yet available | In development |
A Zoi can only own one vehicle at a time. Buying a new vehicle replaces the old one. It has not been confirmed whether bicycles will follow this same restriction or if they will be treated differently, potentially as a secondary vehicle alongside a car.
Confirmed Features
Based on the January 30, 2026 developer update and the 2026 roadmap, the following bicycle features have been confirmed or discussed:
Bicycle Riding
Basic bicycle riding mechanics are in active development. Kjun specifically asked the community for feedback about "being able to drive cars or ride bicycles anywhere in the game," suggesting the team is exploring whether bicycles should have the same open-world freedom as cars or be limited to specific areas like bike paths.
Two-Person Riding
The developers have discussed allowing a passenger to ride on the back of another Zoi's bicycle. This would make bicycles the first vehicle type in inZOI to support a passenger mechanic in this way. The feature requires additional development time and may not ship with the initial bicycle release.
Rental Kiosks
Bicycle and scooter rental kiosks are placed throughout Dowon and Bliss Bay as non-functional props. The developers have confirmed these kiosks will become interactive in a future update, allowing Zois to rent bicycles without purchasing them. This would make rental kiosks the first vehicle access method that does not go through the Dream Car app, potentially offering a cheaper alternative for short trips.
How Bicycles Might Work
While specific mechanics have not been finalized, existing vehicle systems suggest how bicycles could function:
Aspect | Likely Implementation (Speculative) |
|---|---|
Purchase | Through the Dream Car app, similar to motorcycles and scooters |
Controls | WASD steering, matching the existing motorcycle control scheme |
Speed | Slower than motorized vehicles but faster than walking |
Parking | Parked outside the home lot, as with current vehicles |
Age restriction | Possibly available to teenagers and older, following car restrictions |
Rental access | Through kiosks placed around the city for temporary use |
Note: The table above is based on patterns from existing vehicle types. Actual bicycle mechanics may differ when the feature releases.
Relationship to Other Transportation
Bicycles will join a growing range of transportation options in inZOI. The game already supports walking, public transit (buses in Bliss Bay, subway in Dowon), personal cars, motorcycles, mopeds, electric scooters, and cheat-based teleportation. Other planned transportation features on the 2026 roadmap include:
Multi-Zoi vehicle boarding (multiple passengers in a single car)
Airport and subway properties with actual boarding procedures
School bus transport for students
Ambulances and fire trucks for emergencies
Taxi driver career
Vehicle refueling and maintenance systems
Vehicle modding support (June 2026)
Community Interest
Bicycles have been one of the most requested transportation features since Early Access launched. Players have noted the irony of seeing bicycle rental kiosks in every neighborhood while being unable to interact with them. The feature request gained additional visibility when Kjun specifically asked about bicycle riding in the January 30 developer update, signaling that the team treats it as a priority.
Some players have also expressed interest in bicycles as a greener, budget-friendly alternative to cars, particularly for new Zois who cannot afford a vehicle through the Dream Car app. If rental kiosks become functional, bicycles could serve as the entry-level transportation option for households that have not saved enough Meow for a car.
Tips
Bicycle rental kiosks are visible throughout Dowon and Bliss Bay. While not yet functional, their placement hints at where bicycle infrastructure will be densest when the feature launches.
Keep an eye on the official inZOI forums and developer updates for announcements about the bicycle release date.
If you need fast travel before bicycles are added, use the "Go Here" option on the city map for auto-transit, or enable cheats for teleportation via Ctrl+T.
