Bliss Bay

Overview

Bliss Bay is one of the three playable cities in inZOI. It is a coastal city inspired by Santa Monica and the broader Southern California region. Sandy beaches, wide boardwalks, palm-lined streets, and a laid-back atmosphere define the city. Where Dowon is vertical and dense, Bliss Bay spreads out horizontally with a more suburban feel and generally larger residential lots. Buildings are more spread out and less densely populated than in Dowon, giving the city an open, relaxed character that sets it apart from the other two starting locations.

The city sits along the ocean and much of daily life revolves around the waterfront. Zois can swim at the beach, surf at Muscle Beach, ride roller coasters at the amusement park, skateboard at the Skate Park, play beach volleyball, or watch football at the stadium. The city transforms at night: the amusement park lights up and fireworks burst over the pier, creating a spectacle visible from much of the waterfront. Bliss Bay is available from the start of the game alongside Dowon and Cahaya.

Bliss Bay contains 14 residential lots and over 20 community lots, including shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, parks, government buildings, and hidden rabbit hole destinations accessible through the scheduling menu. The city also offers its own unique set of careers and a dedicated school system from elementary through university level.

Climate and Weather

The weather in Bliss Bay is mild and warm year-round, reflecting its Southern California inspiration. Snow is extremely rare under normal conditions. The city still cycles through seasons, but the temperature differences between them are much smaller than in Dowon. Zois living here rarely need to worry about cold-weather clothing or temperature-related illness. The consistently warm climate makes Bliss Bay an ideal city for players who prefer outdoor activities like surfing, swimming, and beach sports without seasonal disruptions.

Key Locations

Bliss Bay North Beach

The main beach area in the city. It is a long stretch of sand along the northern coastline with ocean access. Zois can sunbathe, build sandcastles, jog along the shore, and swim in the ocean. The beach connects to the boardwalk, which has food vendors and seating areas. It is one of the primary spots for Social Events and casual interactions between Zois. North Beach is widely considered one of Bliss Bay's hidden gems, with beautiful scenery stretching along the coastline.

Central Beach and South Beach

In addition to North Beach, Bliss Bay has two more beach areas. Central Beach sits near the middle of the coastline and provides another open-air space for sunbathing and socializing. South Beach is located near the southern edge of the city. All three beach areas offer access to the ocean for swimming, and free surfboards are scattered at various spots along the shore for any Zoi to pick up and use.

Muscle Beach

Muscle Beach is an outdoor gym area on the waterfront, located near the Beach Volleyball Court. It has weight benches, pull-up bars, and other fitness equipment in an open-air setting. Zois who work out here build physical skills. The area also provides access to surfing spots, making it a dual-purpose location for both exercise and water sports.

Beach Volleyball Court

A public beach volleyball court is available near Muscle Beach. Any Zoi can walk up and join a game. Playing volleyball builds physical fitness and is a social activity that can strengthen relationships between Zois who participate together.

Skate Park

The Skate Park is a dedicated area with ramps, rails, and half-pipes where Zois can practice skateboarding. Like surfing and other physical activities, skateboarding builds skills and satisfies fun-related needs. The Skate Park is one of several recreational facilities that give Bliss Bay a distinctly Californian flavor.

Bliss Bay Amusement Park

The amusement park is one of Bliss Bay's most prominent landmarks. It sits on a pier extending out over the water and features a rollercoaster, amusement rides, and carnival-style games. Zois can visit for entertainment, and riding the attractions satisfies fun-related needs. The park is also the workplace for Zois in the Amusement Park career track, where they operate rides and manage the park. At night, the park transforms into a magical spectacle of fireworks visible from across the waterfront. Operating hours are 9 AM to 8 PM daily.

Bliss Bay Football Stadium

Home to the Bliss Bay Nautilus, the city's football team. Zois pursuing the Football Player career train and play matches here. The stadium hosts game-day events that attract crowds of NPC Zois. Other Zois can attend as spectators. The Nautilus branding appears on merchandise available at shops around the city.

Clover Park

Clover Park is a public green space with walking trails, playground equipment, and open fields. It is a popular spot for family outings. Child Zois can play on playground equipment while adults jog, read, or practice hobbies. The park also hosts periodic Social Events. Its cozy, natural setting provides a contrast to the beach and boardwalk areas that dominate the rest of the city.

Liberty Square

Liberty Square is the main commercial and civic hub of Bliss Bay. It is an open plaza centered around a fountain adorned with sculptures, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and office buildings. Several career workplaces are located in buildings around the square, including the offices for the Finance (Plutus) and Lawyer (Themis & Jones) career paths. Liberty Square also hosts a periodic Flea Market where vendors sell goods and Zois can browse for deals.

Sunset Bay

Sunset Bay is a community lot located on the eastern side of Bliss Bay, featuring a pier where Zois can take romantic walks while enjoying vast ocean scenery. The spot is particularly popular at dusk, when the sunset creates breathtaking views over the water. It serves as a natural date location and a peaceful area for relaxation.

Lumiere Art Gallery

The Lumiere Art Gallery is a cultural venue where Zois can view and appreciate artwork. It is open from 8 AM to 10 PM daily. Visiting the gallery can build creativity-related skills and provides a quiet alternative to the beach and amusement park for satisfying leisure needs.

Themed Studio

The Themed Studio is a photo studio where Zois can take concept photos in various themed settings. It serves as both a recreational venue and a creative outlet, allowing Zois to create styled photographs for their collection.

Bliss Bay University

The university campus in Bliss Bay is a full academic institution. Zois who attend can pursue higher education that unlocks advanced career paths. The campus includes lecture halls, a library, dormitories, and outdoor common areas where students socialize. University life introduces unique Social Events and interactions.

Oracle Fortune Teller

The Oracle Fortune Teller is a unique venue in Bliss Bay where Zois can receive fortune-telling readings. It is open from 8 AM to 10 PM daily and offers an unusual activity not found in other cities.

Bliss Elegance Hotel and Lounge

The Bliss Elegance Hotel and Lounge is an upscale hospitality venue open from 8 AM to 10 PM daily. Zois can visit the lounge for socializing or hold events at the venue.

Beach Playground

A playground area located on the beach, designed for younger Zois. Children can play on the equipment while parents relax nearby on the sand. It adds another family-friendly activity option along the coastline.

Outdoor Wedding Venue

Bliss Bay features a dedicated outdoor wedding venue where Zois can hold marriage ceremonies. The oceanside setting makes it a scenic location for one of the game's major life events.

Blue Ocean Pavilion

The Blue Ocean Pavilion is a waterfront community space used for public gatherings and events. It provides an open-air venue near the ocean.

Community Lots

Bliss Bay has a large number of community lots serving a range of purposes. The following table lists the major public buildings and venues in the city along with their type and operating hours where known.

Residential Lots

Bliss Bay has 14 residential lots. The lots tend to be larger than those in Dowon, reflecting the suburban character of the city. Players furnish these using Build Mode with furniture from local shops or the 3D Printer. Monthly utility bills scale with lot size. Several lots come pre-furnished and occupied by NPC families, while empty lots can be purchased at a lower price for players who want to build from scratch.

Notable properties include 510 Palm Tree Avenue, one of the largest lots in the game with enough space for a full house, yard, pool, and garden. Lumiere is a top-floor apartment in a seven-story building located in the center of Bliss Bay, recommended for 5 or 6-person households. 19 Beachfront Drive is a premium property that comes complete with workout equipment and entertainment facilities. For budget-conscious players, 3140 Greenway Street offers the cheapest empty lot at just 5,000 Meow, with a generous 40m x 20m footprint for custom building.

Some lots are positioned within walking distance of the beach, which gives Zois easy access to swimming and surfing without needing transportation. The Heaven Hill Apartments is the smallest lot at 15m x 10m, recommended for 1 or 2-person households, while the Ocean Bliss Apartment is on the twelfth floor of a fifteen-story building, offering high-rise living with a view.

Careers

Bliss Bay offers its own set of unique careers reflecting its coastal, entertainment-focused, and corporate culture. Each career has multiple promotion levels with increasing pay. Most positions operate on a three-day work week with varying shift lengths. Zois can find jobs through the Career app on their Smartphone.

Some careers, like Finance and Lawyer, benefit from completing university first. Others, like Football Player and Amusement Park, are available without a degree. The Gangster career (Westside Hustler) is Bliss Bay's equivalent of Dowon's Street Soldier path, carrying negative karma effects and risk of conflict with law enforcement.

Hidden Rabbit Holes

In addition to the visitable community lots, Bliss Bay has several hidden rabbit hole destinations. These are buildings that Zois can travel to through the scheduling menu, but the player cannot directly view or control what happens inside. Each offers unique activities or services.

Rabbit hole visits occur on a set schedule and the Zoi disappears for the duration. Random events may occur during the visit, prompting the player to make a choice from a menu interface.

Schools

Bliss Bay has its own school system separate from Dowon's. The progression follows the same Life Stages:

All schools follow the in-game clock and time system. Attendance is tracked and grades affect future career options. The Bliss Bay Public School building serves as the physical location for the elementary through high school levels. University is located on a separate campus, and completing it unlocks advanced career paths in Finance, Law, and other fields.

Shops and Dining

Bliss Bay's commercial offerings lean toward beachside dining and lifestyle stores. The city's shops tend to carry items with a beachy, Californian aesthetic that differs from Dowon's more urban selection. All purchases use Meow, the game's currency.

Transportation

Bliss Bay uses a bus system for public transportation. Bus stops are placed throughout the city and Zois can board a bus to travel between districts. This contrasts with Dowon, which has an underground subway system but no buses. Private cars and taxis are also available for getting around.

The city's more spread-out layout means walking between distant locations takes longer than in the denser Dowon, making the bus system or a personal vehicle more practical for daily commutes to jobs and schools. Beachfront lots have the advantage of being within walking distance of many recreational areas, which can reduce the need for transportation during leisure time.

Comparison with Dowon

Players often debate whether to start in Bliss Bay or Dowon. The two cities have distinct identities and offer different gameplay experiences.

Neither city is objectively better; the choice depends on preferred playstyle. Bliss Bay suits players who want a relaxed beach lifestyle with larger lots and outdoor recreation, while Dowon caters to those who prefer an energetic city environment with cultural activities like karaoke and pro gaming.

• If you want a large lot for an ambitious build project, check out 510 Palm Tree Avenue (35m x 39.5m) or the empty lots at 2008 Oakridge Drive and 3140 Greenway Street, which offer 40m x 20m at very low prices.

• The bus system is your main public transit option. Plan your Zoi's home location near a bus stop if their job is far from the beach area.

• Free surfboards are available at multiple beach spots, so you do not need to buy one from Posey's Surf Shop to start surfing.

• The Flea Market at Liberty Square is a good way to find deals on items. Check back periodically as the selection rotates.

• Take advantage of the warm climate. Unlike Dowon, you rarely need to purchase winter clothing for your Zois, saving Meow for other expenses.

• The Lawyer career at Themis & Jones has the highest entry-level salary at 450 Meow, while the Gangster (Westside Hustler) career offers the highest top-end pay at 2,169 Meow, but comes with negative karma.

• Visit the Oracle Fortune Teller for a unique activity you will not find in Dowon or Cahaya.
