walking
Walking is always available and requires no equipment, currency, or skill level. Use WASD or left-click to walk anywhere in the open world (see controls). There is no stamina penalty for walking, so a Zoi can walk indefinitely without any need decay from the act of moving. For short distances, walking is sometimes faster than waiting for a vehicle because there is no loading screen or transit delay.

public transit
Open the City Map (press M or use the City Map app on the smartphone), select a landmark, and choose "Go Here". The game automatically picks the nearest available transit option for your Zoi. A loading screen appears during the ride, and the Zoi arrives at the selected landmark.

The two main cities have different transit infrastructure:
Bliss Bay uses a bus system. Bus stops are scattered around the city, marked on the map. The Zoi walks to the nearest bus stop and takes a bus to the destination stop closest to the selected landmark.
Dowon has a subway system. Subway stations connect key areas of the city. Zois enter the nearest station and take the subway to the station closest to their destination.
Fast travel only works between designated transit points. You cannot fast travel to an arbitrary spot on the map. After arriving at a landmark, walk or drive to the exact location. Taxis are also part of the "Go Here" system. The game sometimes assigns a taxi instead of a bus or subway if it determines that is the fastest route.
personal vehicles
cars
Cars are purchased through the Dream Car app on the smartphone. Browse available models, select one, and it appears parked outside your home. To travel by car, open the map, select a destination, and choose "Drive Here". The Zoi gets in and auto-drives with a loading screen. For manual driving, get into the car and use W/S to accelerate and brake, A/D to steer, and left-click to honk. See the cars article for vehicle details and pricing.

motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds
The August 2025 Island Getaway update added 14 new vehicles, including motorcycles, mopeds, and electric scooters. All are purchased through the Dream Car app. Motorcycles handle similarly to cars with WASD driving. Scooters currently only support manual driving, meaning the auto-drive feature does not work with them. The driving UI for all vehicle types is scheduled for an overhaul in a future update.
A Zoi can only own one vehicle at a time, regardless of type. Buying a new vehicle replaces the old one.
bicycles
Bicycles are available through the Dream Car app and support two-person riding, so a Zoi and a companion can share a bike. This makes bicycles the only vehicle type in the game that accommodates a passenger. Bicycles are steered manually and do not have an auto-drive option.

rental kiosks
Bicycle and scooter rental kiosks are visible in both Dowon and Bliss Bay, but they are not functional in the current build. They exist as props and cannot be interacted with. The developers have confirmed the kiosks will become usable in a future update, allowing Zois to rent vehicles without purchasing them outright.
teleportation (cheats)
With cheats enabled, there are three ways to skip travel entirely:

teleport [region ID or coordinates] teleports the active Zoi to any location using a named region or exact world coordinates.
goHome teleports the Zoi directly to their home lot.
Ctrl + T, then right-click a spot on the ground, instant teleport to the clicked location. This is the fastest method for short-range teleportation and works well for reaching rooftops, fenced areas, and other hard-to-reach spots.
speed controls
Use the playback speed controls in the bottom-left corner to speed up time during travel. Press number keys 0-4 for preset speeds (pause, 1x, 1.5x, 3x, 5x) or use the slider for speeds up to 30x. Above 5x, movement controls and autonomy toggles are disabled, but the Zoi still travels normally and arrives at their destination faster.
planned features
Several transportation improvements are on the development roadmap:
Inter-city travel planned for the March 2026 update. Zois will be able to travel between Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya. Currently, each city is a separate save and cannot be visited from another city.
Taxi driver career listed as a future career option where the player's Zoi drives passengers around the city for income.
Functional rental kiosks the existing bicycle and scooter kiosks scattered around both cities will become interactive, letting Zois rent vehicles temporarily.
