Overview
Goldenfield is one of five planned expansion cities for inZOI, the life simulation game developed by KRAFTON. The city's name first appeared in the game's city selection interface and in the Create a Zoi Character Studio Demo that ran in August 2024. According to descriptions surfaced through the demo, Goldenfield "evokes the serene and hearty spirit of the American heartland," suggesting a setting inspired by rural or agricultural regions of the United States.
As of April 2026, KRAFTON has not released any gameplay footage, screenshots, detailed feature lists, or a release window for Goldenfield. The city remains visible in the world selection menu but is not playable. Everything beyond the name and its brief thematic description is unconfirmed.
Confirmed Details
The following information has been verified through official sources and in-game menus:

Goldenfield is listed as one of five planned expansion cities in inZOI's long-term content plan.
The name appears in the game's city selection interface and was visible in the Character Studio Demo.
It is grouped alongside four other unreleased cities: Winiber, Haegang, Recalleta, and Brusimo.
Together with these five cities, the total city count would grow from three playable locations to eight.
No release order or timeline has been announced for any of the expansion cities.
The brief thematic tagline from the Character Studio Demo describes Goldenfield as evoking "the serene and hearty spirit of the American heartland."
How Cities Work in inZOI
Each city in inZOI is a self-contained world with its own cultural identity, climate, architecture, and gameplay features. Cities differ in several key dimensions:
Cultural theme and inspiration: Every city draws from a real-world region. Dowon is modeled after Seoul's Gangnam district, Bliss Bay channels Southern California beach culture, and Cahaya takes inspiration from Bali and Indonesian island life.
Lots and residential zones: Cities contain a mix of community lots (public venues, parks, shops) and residential lots where Zois live. Dowon has 25 community and 12 residential lots, while Bliss Bay has 28 community and 14 residential lots.
Careers: Certain careers are exclusive to specific cities. For example, the Idol Trainee career is available only in Dowon, while the Gangster career is exclusive to Bliss Bay.
Transportation: Each city has a distinct transportation system. Dowon features an underground subway, Bliss Bay uses a public bus network, and Cahaya relies on boat taxis between its three islands.
Climate and seasons: Dowon cycles through four distinct seasons that affect gameplay (Zois can get sick from cold weather), while Bliss Bay is warm year-round. Cahaya maintains a tropical climate.
When Goldenfield eventually launches, it will likely follow this same pattern, offering its own set of lots, careers, transportation, and seasonal mechanics shaped by its American heartland theme.
Current Playable Cities
As of April 2026, three cities and one compact world are either playable or in active development:
City | Inspiration | Status |
|---|---|---|
Korean metropolitan city (Seoul/Gangnam) | Playable since launch (March 2025) | |
Southern California coastal city | Playable since launch (March 2025) | |
Indonesian tropical island archipelago | Playable since v0.3.0 (August 2025) | |
Compact rural/UGC countryside village | Planned for June 2026 |
Planned Expansion Cities
Five additional cities have been named in official materials through the city selection menu and the Character Studio Demo. None of them have confirmed release dates, and KRAFTON has not indicated which city will be released first.

The developers have stated that future cities will be inspired by locations across Asia, Europe, and South America, continuing the pattern of each city representing a distinct real-world culture and geography.
What Goldenfield Might Include
Based on how existing cities are structured and the brief thematic description associated with the name, the community has speculated about what Goldenfield could offer. It is important to note that none of the following has been confirmed by KRAFTON. These are educated guesses drawn from the city's name and the patterns established by Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya.
Possible setting and environment: The "American heartland" reference suggests a landscape of open farmland, golden wheat fields, ranches, and small-town Main Street architecture. Players have drawn comparisons to Midwestern American towns, picturing barns, silos, country roads, and wide-open skies. This would represent a sharp contrast to the dense urban environment of Dowon and the beach resort atmosphere of Bliss Bay.
Possible gameplay features: If Goldenfield follows the rural heartland theme, community members have speculated it could introduce farming and agriculture mechanics, ranch or livestock management, and a slower pace of life centered on outdoor activities. Existing gameplay systems like gardening and cooking could be expanded with crop harvesting, farmer's markets, and new recipes tied to local produce.
Possible careers: Each existing city has careers that match its cultural identity. A rural American setting could potentially feature agricultural, veterinary, or small-business careers, though this is entirely speculative.
Possible climate: The American Midwest experiences strong seasonal changes, including hot summers and cold, snowy winters. Goldenfield might adopt a four-season cycle similar to Dowon, but with a distinctly different visual palette featuring open plains and farmland instead of urban streetscapes.
Travel Between Cities
inZOI's travel between cities system allows Zois to visit and immigrate between different locations. Immigration lets a Zoi permanently move to a new city, while travel enables temporary visits. When Goldenfield is released, it will integrate into this same system, allowing Zois from Dowon, Bliss Bay, or Cahaya to visit or relocate.
The July 2025 update introduced the initial framework for inter-city travel, and the system is expected to grow as more cities become available. Each new city adds more destinations for players who want to experience different lifestyles and environments with their Zois.
Development Status
The 2026 roadmap published by KRAFTON follows a "Fundamentals First" philosophy, prioritizing core gameplay polish, bug fixes, and foundational systems before expanding to new cities. The 2026 content calendar focuses on features like high school, freelancing, festivals, the karma system, and the fame system rather than new city launches.
Canvastown is the next confirmed world addition, expected in June 2026. Canvastown is a compact, user-generated content focused village rather than a full-scale city like Dowon or Bliss Bay. There has been no indication that any of the five expansion cities (including Goldenfield) will be released during the 2026 calendar year.
Given the pace of city releases so far (Cahaya arrived roughly five months after launch), each expansion city likely requires significant development time for world building, venue placement, career design, NPC population, and cultural detailing. Players should expect Goldenfield and the other expansion cities to appear as part of the game's longer-term post-launch content plan, potentially in 2027 or beyond.
Notes
This article will be updated when KRAFTON officially announces gameplay details, screenshots, or a release window for Goldenfield.
The thematic descriptions ("American heartland" for Goldenfield, "heritage of China" for Haegang) come from the Character Studio Demo interface and have not been elaborated on in any developer blog or roadmap update.
All speculation about Goldenfield's features is based on the city's name and the patterns established by existing cities. The actual setting, features, and gameplay mechanics remain unknown.
